Their rooms are spacious, big bed, the staff is accommodating , but when we check out my friend had a problem on the towel , he saw the stain in the towel and he didn't know that he need to tell the staff that when they saw it they need to change it, upon check out the resepsionist told us that we need to pay the towel or pay for the laundry , where very sad for that, at the end we decided to pay for it and got the towel.

Thats why we always return, yes it is looking a bit tired, yes there maybe a few stains here and there but you get a clean, spacious hotel room in a fantastic location, the star shuttle bus stop is just over the road only 12 rm per person to the airport and the same back from the airport. They offer a free lift at 10am and 11.15 into town. The internet has improved so much from last time, we were on the 8th floor and it was super quick. The breakfast was adequate with a good egg station. What also makes this hotel a great choice are the staff they will go out of their way to help you and it was nice to see the same people working the front desk who were there 3 years ago when we last visited. I asked for a sneaky look into one of the renovated rooms and boy it was so modern.

Very nice staff the brefast is exelent has so many choises of food the food is good and very reasonable price the room are very clean and big the bathrooms are very good Very easy to get to the hotel from the bus stop in the door of the hotel and the train itis just a few steps of the station I have a great time there

The location is central and China town in just around the corner. It's an easy walk to two train stations which makes getting around easy and cheap. The buffet breakfast is very basic and mostly repeated daily. The staff are great, friendly and happy to serve with smiles all round. The hotel is clean and comfortable in it's public spaces buts that where it ends. The room was just grubby, damp smells, stains on the carpet, mould in the bathroom, smears on the mirrors and dust all over the surfaces. I was there for 18 days and house keeping was a real hit and miss affair. Some days you got towels, some days not. The same applied to bottled water, bathroom supplies, tea/coffee ect. Cleaning was also hit and miss, mostly a miss. The attached photo of the shower head speaks volumes. The room was only downhill from there.

Hopeless is the only word!!!! The worst so called 4 star hotel I have ever stayed. It was bad The rooms were very dilapidated. Carpet was torn. Bathrooms were dirty. Lights not working. And on top it the Air conditioner was not working. When we called the operator they said no no sir it's working perfectly. But it didn't work. And the funny part is they were running videos Of the room on screens in the lobby, they were so different then the actual rooms We were about 14 couples everybody had the same issue. It was just hopeless and crazy.

Good place to stay for one night only. Many concerns with this place. Hmm, where to start. My top 5 reasons why you should not remain in this hotel: CONS 1. Cleanliness of room (housekeepers walk barefoot and do not use vacuum cleaner. Beds are made, and toiletries replaced but no deep cleaning. 2. Concierge service attentiveness very poor. Never once did anyone open door for me or my wife. Attendants aloof and wondering around. 3. Restaurant staff inattentive, food forgettable, and dining does not make one feel welcome -rather a burden. 4. Overall cleanliness of hotel is well below average. 5. You get what you pay for. Perks: - Good location - Cheap - Front exit is wide for rapid escape.

The staff are truly excellent - friendly, helpful, professional and caring - from the managers, to the reservation desk, to the restaurant, to housekeeping, to the doormen!! The location is tops - we love being so handy to the bustling Chinatown shopping streets with lots of good eateries. Close to metro station. The rooms are comfy and clean, but a bit tired - which is being taken care of right now. The hotel rooms are undergoing renovations, and we had a chance to look at one of the newly done rooms - fabulous! Ancasa during all our stays feels like home - and we would not even dream of staying elsewhere on our next KL visit!

Its been my first visit to Kuala Lumpur and I stayed at Hotel Ancasa and it has great ambiance and quality rooms. Apart from that they have Indian Chef which was icing on the cake. Every he cooks Indian meal for us. I enjoyed my stay their.

My boyfriend and I chose to stay one night close to Chinatown to visit some quirky spots before heading to Cameron Highlands the next day. We booked our stay at Ancasa because it seemed like it was the best hotel in the area. Our stay at Ancasa was cheap, and so we weren't expecting 5-star quality...and we definitely didn't get "5-star" from this hotel. There was only one receptionist checking people in, so we had to wait for quite some time. There is no seating area to comfortably wait. After checking-in, we were told by hotel staff (who were standing around and doing nothing) that we would have to wait for the bellman to come back if we wanted him to bring up our luggage. I told the staff, "No, we will head up before the bellman. And he will bring our luggage to room number XX." I've never had to wait for the bellman before in my many years of travelling. Breakfast was OK, and there wasn't much of it left when we arrived towards the end, around 10am. At the time of our stay, the hotel was under renovations. There was a ceiling light missing in our room, and the shower head holder did not properly hold the shower head at an appropriate angle. Hot water is also very limited. Furthermore, the entire spa is under renovations and the gym room is lackluster with no accompanying hand towels to use. However, there was one bellman who was there on the morning of 31 Dec 2016 that I was impressed with. While the receptionist was busy checking in guests, he went beyond his duties as a bellman and assisted me with gaining access to the gym. Upon checking out, he also saw that we were waiting with our luggage and asked if we needed help with a taxi. I shouldn't be impressed with this, but after my experience on the previous night with the luggage, this stood out to me. On another good note, Ancasa is located well, near several areas of interest and public transportation. Bathrooms are also fairly clean. If you're looking for a clean, affordable, barebones, 3-star hotel in a good location, I would recommend Ancasa Hotel.

We checked in at around 2plus in the morning due to heavy traffic into Malaysia. The front desk staff, Hafiz (if I'm not wrong) was a friendly staff despite the time we checked in. Very patient in telling us where we can find food at the wee hours of the morning when my sister asked him. Hotel was very comfortable. Our room's view was facing the Petronas Tower. So it was pretty nice to wake up with that view. Hotel was situated at a convenient place. The room service was almost 24hours but we didn't get anything because we were too tired to be eating. Toilet was clean & it was working well. There was an iron, but no board, so we had to iron on their study table. There wasn't any power point near to the bed. But it was ok. I didn't need to use my phone while sleeping, right? 😹😹😹 Couldn't comment on the free breakfast though because the both of us woke up late.
