Older building that was remodeled, the room was clean and the over all hotel was clean and orderly.
Our room looked it hadn't been vacummed from previous guests. Told the front desk and it would be taken care of. Never happened. We would come back at the end of the day and the only thing that was done to the room was to empty waste baskets. There are no dressers/drawers in the room. I had 3 hangars for 2 people. Asked for more and all they could find was 3 more. There were all kinds of Ipod/Iphone plug ins, charging station. They should spend some of that money on Hangars and better cleaning staff! The front desk staff were friendly and helpful.
Please be aware that this is actually a Sleep Inn, so don't expect a Wingate brand property. From the marketing, I thought we were getting a great rate for a night in a Wingate. My bad. The large sign outside still says Sleep Inn...I would never choose to stay there so...No way to make coffee in the room, coffee downstairs was not drinkable. When I turned on the fan, the smoke alarm went off in the first room we tried. Moved to another room which was passable, thus 3 stars.
Why did it take 45 minutes to checkin? Owner of company apparently had a check bounce or something and the staff took 45 minutes to resolve the manner vs checkin waiting guests.
As the British would say, cheap and cheerful. Clean, safe, family owned business, good value for money.
Upon checking in and settling into my room, the telephone and tv were not working, which is unacceptable! A telephone is a necessity in case of an emergency, I shouldn't have had to use my cell phone and try to connect with someone at the front desk. When I explained my situation, front desk said they would send maintenance to check on the situation but they did not, no one showed up. I had to use my cell phone and all again, requesting to then be moved to another room, after I had tried to settle in. Big inconvenience after a long day of travel and all you want to do is sleep.
One very small issue was no tissues in bathroom. I will stay here on my next trip.
Reserved a king bed but they only had 2 queens on the day of due to an issue with the room. Staff was accommodating to get us another room.
Easy on/off turnpike. Clean quiet and lots of restaurants within short walk
The hotel is just ok. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was very limited & coffee was undrinkable. We would not recommend this hotel to other travellers.
