Walked in the room for the first time and immediately noticed that the arm chair was so old that the fabric was torn and threadbare on both arms and the back of the chair where your head would go. The chair should have been replaced LONG ago. Then the office chair was the same way. The material was threadbare and the back of the chair had rips and tears in the material. Then I noticed the piece of stone that serves as the door sill had a huge chunk missing. When it came time for a shower, the water was cold. I tried a shower the next morning and it was just as cold. I would never stay here again and will not be recommending this hotel.

Rooms are a little small but not bad. Enjoyed the kitchenette and the cheap price....nothing fancy but clean, well lit(dark when needed), quiet and comfortable. Only issue was old stains on bedspread/comforter.

Loved it here. Bed was comfortable. Room was large. Kitchen had cooking utensils, pots, dishes, etc. Was able to keep, cook, and reheat food. Large fridge and on-site laundry facility. Free Wifi and you can print your boarding pass downstairs...and they provide a shuttle to and from the airport.

We've stayed at this hotel a couple times now before our early morning flights. The staff is wonderful, the hotel is very clean and comfortable. The rooms are very nice with kitchenettes and everything you need to feel at home. We will be back.

This was during race week in Kansas City, so my room choices were limited, had requested a king room but none were available, so I️ was given a queen instead. I️ had no issues except upon entering the room it was freezing, the A/C was blasting and it was below 60 degrees in the room with a stale musty smoke odor. You have to be savvy to operate the thermostat as there is one on the wall and one on the unit itself underneath the window. Could never really figure out which one to use, I️ just settled on the one on the unit itself. Room was clean it just did not smell clean. Everything worked in the room and bed was comfortable. The room has a full kitchen minus an oven. Room service is once a week as this is an extended stay property. The staff was friendly. Parking is a problem if you arrive late. There is overflow parking behind the Comfort Inn property across from this hotel.

Booked hotel with IHG redemption points. Typical park and fly airport hotel. The thing that sets it apart is the excellent customer service. I was greeted by desk clerk Jennifer. She was knowledgeable, friendly and totally professional. The manager at check out was excellent also. Felt more like a family motel than almost anyplace I have stayed before.

Did not have musty or mildew odors. Very clean. Comfortable bed with nice soft linens. Fluffy towels. Kitchenette area very nice/clean, well supplied with utensils, dishes, paper goods. Wifi quick connection. AC worked well. Nice shower. TV worked without issue. Staff very friendly, courteous, professional. "Store" well stocked. Trash cans very small. Needs brighter lightbulbs. No pool. Not geared for kids. No usb outlets. Did not experience any parking problems and it was a fully booked hotel (eclipse weekend). Restaurants and shopping nearby but not walking distance.

Ok I know what to expect at candlewood suites. The parking at this location is horrible. I arrived late and there were no signs or directions to an "over flow" lot which I would imagine has to be used nightly. It's located behind another hotel. I would never guess that as they aren't in the same family. I called the hotel to ask what to do and got directions but it was dark and a bit scary over there. I was told someone would walk me over but they got busy so no one showed. I asked to have a manager call me the next day to discuss and stopped at the desk in the morning to ask again and leave my mobile number. I did not get a call or an email. All I wanted to discuss was signage for additional parking. As a spire elite member I will make note and not stay at this location again. Safety safety safety is what I look for most.

Considering that you get what you pay for, this hotel is not a bargain. This is a bargain hotel meaning that towel service and room turn down are weekly. That also means you empty your own trash. It does come with a kitchenette, so thats nice. The recliner in my room was broken and the upholstery was completely destroyed. The front desk attendant advised that this was the norm in all rooms. The front desk ("24/7") was frequently unattended and calls went unanswered. Bottom line, this hotel should charge less or pay employees to be attentive. Likewise, I'd suggest a neighboring hotel comfort inn.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hotel. I stayed recently for one night after a flight into KC and before I got my rental car the next day. My flight was late and when I called about the shuttle, I was told the shuttle had stopped running for the day. The person I talked to told me to "Take Uber." The check in was harried and rushed. The room had a musty smell. The furniture was old and worn. There are many options for hotels in this are of KC and I would suggest checking other options before renting at this property.
