The hotel is on the main road but the parking lot is on the back of the hotel which means that you have to drive around to get there. There are only 10 parking spots ' you have to get there very early to find a place. There was no table to work on in the room and also not in the very small "lobby". The heating was very week. they charge all kinds of extra taxes from what I saw in booking advertise like booking fees and pht. The restaurants where good.
Lack of parking. Snippy and snide desk person. Room with the ice machine at its door, the Street door to the pub 1 floor down thin walls and the fire station outside the window. Everything but the fire station was noisy during our stay. And the bonus is being the room that several bags of dirty linens and the cleaning carts are put in front of only added to the lack of charm. All that and too expensive for what you get too. It’s only good feature is its location.
Had to stay one night before our two day trip on the Rocky Mountaineer. Unfortunately, due to the location of our room, I had just 90 minutes sleep. Room must have been above or adjacent to some air conditioning or ventilation unit, this just hummed all night, so no sleep other than 90 minutes was had by me! There are two restaurants on site, you have to book a table in one (!), but the other was more user friendly and quite cheap. I didn't consume anything other than water. My husband however had some food and drink which were both on offer, so he was pretty pleased. I don't think I'd stay there again, for me the best part of this hotel was that it was directly opposite the train station where we had to take the Rocky Mountaineer the next morning. Sorry not for me!
While on an outstanding tour,we stayed two nights at The Whistler Inn,rooms more than adequate but beds could be updated. Location perfect, central location across the street from the train station, near every shop, restruants, and amenities the delightful town contains. The restruant in the hotel is remarkably good! Two dinners, one complete and the second a light caprese salad and some of the best mushroom soup we have ever had. Lovely experience in one of the most beautiful mountain scenery in the world. There is no reason to travel to Switzerland when you can come here!
This hotel could not be better situated; it's right in the heart of main street Jasper. Park your car across the street in the public parking lot and you can walk pretty much everywhere in Jasper from the Inn. Rooms are super clean and well-insulated from outside noise, bed is super comfy and washrooms are large and well-equipped. Hotel has a café, bar and restaurant (not included in price of the room). Tried both café and restaurant; excellent coffee, food and service in both! I'd go back in a heartbeat; really enjoyed my time in Jasper thanks to the Whistlers Inn!
We were staying down the road and looking for somewhere to eat. I noticed Whistlers Inn had happy hour listed so we ventured in. The staff made you welcome from the second you enter to the time you leave. The food is fantastic. And the prices fair. We came back the following night too. Didn't even look for an alternative choice. Can't recommend it enough.
Was very clean and staff was friendly. The roof top Jacuzzi can't be beat. I stay here every time I go to Jasper. Very convenient to park a vehicle and walk around town. No hassle of finding parking on the street when in town.
This hotel is in a great location for discovering the town of Jasper and the surrounding attractions. We were very happy with our room. Two double beds, plenty of room to move, proper seating and everything was nice and clean. Reception staff were polite and helpful. The car park is quite small, however, we were fortunate to get a spot for the two evenings which we stayed. We were on a family trip, therefore, we were slightly disappointed that we were unable to go into the Whistlers bar with our daughter (there are plenty of options within walking distance). Prices in the other on site restaurant seemed quite expensive, therefore, we ate elsewhere.
Hotel very well located in centre of Jasper. Stayed 3 nights in August in suite 116 - worked really well for us. We had the bedroom and daughter and boyfriend had the comfortable sofa bed in the living room. Lots of windows in both rooms which made it really light, air conditioning in the bedroom was efficient ( if a little noisy!). Great bathroom - all very clean, lots of hot water and housekeeping was quality. Quiet room with nice aspect. We had breakfast in the hotel one morning- nothing special but OK. All in all we were very happy with our stay and service at all times was fine.
This place is right opposite the train station and convenient for all other amenities. Reception staff were both professional and very helpful. The room was comfortable but needs some updating and carpets were in need of a clean. The attached restaurant served a good meal but were needlessly inflexible about making a very minor amendment to a dish - pity. Buffet breakfast there the following day was excellent. Certainly a good place to stay if you’re using the train.
