Great stay at the Tonquin. Staff were all pleasant and accommodating. Room was very clean and it was quiet. Bed very comfortable. It is an older property with small rooms but ours had been renovated and it was very comfortable.

When we first arrived my impression was that this is an old property. The outside, while beautifully decorated seemed worn. Stepping inside my room I was surprised it was newly updated and very nice. They also have a very nice pool and hot tub area and they offered free laundry.

Tonquin Inn is wildly popular with tour groups. Quiet and great location. It is a remodeled old facility, so there were problems with plumbing, doors closing, and ventilation. The updates are pretty, and the outdoor area, with hot tubs and gazebos, was lovely.

Clean and comfortable. What we liked best was the restaurant that was attached physically but under seperate ownership. Great food and service..we had the bison sausage and Vienna style schnitzel and a nice bottle of wine. It was very convenient and nice to have good choices that werent the same old dishes.

Property was excellent. You can walk to the downtown where you could find a lot of options for eating and shopping. This property has nice swimming pools. They have gym, however we felt suffocated and warm inside. Otherwise our stay was just awesome.

Nice hotel. Staff was nice enough. Room was clean and nice. My biggest complaint is dragging my luggage up the stairs. Place was $600 a night and doesn’t have an elevator. For $600 a night hire a young person to carry my luggage up their stairs. Breakfast was lousy, but that’s typical these days of all hotels free breakfast. I don’t know where they all buy their egg beaters but they’re not good.
