Don’t say here bad the pictures speak for them self no safety lock on door if u have asthma dust on ceiling curtains u can’t sit on couch with clean clothes look at the phone not working For 69.99 not worth the money
This was hands down the worst experience I've ever had with a hotel from start to finish. Terrible is an understatement. For $62 a night, you are not expecting a lot--but you ARE expecting your room to be clean. I was charged immediately for the entire stay upon check-in. Once in the room, I discovered that one of the two beds had crumbs all over it, a white crusty substance dried to the headboard, a broken drain covering the sink, and the other bed's mattress felt like it had been completely destroyed. Not 5 minutes after entering the room, I went to the front desk to discuss the issues with the lady I checked in with and she replied "those darn maids" as if this was a normal issue she dealt with--but seemed complacent with. When I told her we would rather leave, her lack of empathy was astounding as she reluctantly said: "Well we don't want you to be unhappy, let me let you check another room." So--she sends me to another room and this time it was a labeled non-smoking room that smelt like smoke, had an equally horrible mattress and a broken dead bolt on the door. After she realized that didn't satisfy me, she steered me to yet another room that was just as bad and by this point, I was so tired from traveling that I didn't have time to check every room in the hotel for her. So I told her I wanted to leave (this was when I found out I had already been charged the full amount of our stay) and her entire persona shifted from "I don't really care about helping you" to "Well you've already checked in so it's too late to cancel now". She became increasingly difficult and I finally communicated with her that we would stay one night. Believe it or not, what frustrates me the most about this entire experience isn't even that we were in town for our engagement party, but it was the fact that she knew that, and seemed very content with our dissatisfaction. The most concerning part of all is that this was a norm for her and their establishment from the maids not cleaning up after the other guests to guests trying to leave. Just save yourself the time and run as fast as you can away from this establishment.
Like the location, right off the freeway, walking distance to AppleBees, and Mexican restaurant, very tasty food, wish I could remember the name. Great drinks too.
TV would not come on. Desk called housekeeper, who knew all about how the remotes were not working with the TV's ("People steal them; We've getting new ones.") So why aren't guests told about this when registering? You had to turn the tv on manually and change channels manually. When housekeeping was leaving, I discovered the door didn't lock! If I hadn't checked that it locked upon closing, it would have been open all night! After this, I moved to the room next door, which wasn't as "nice." You still had to turn the tv on manually, but the remote worked to change the channels. The room smelled musty. The carpet, particularly in the sink area, was old and stained. Would not even think of staying there again.
I stopped at this hotel because of a coupon in the travel guide. The front desk would not honor the coupon, nor would they give me an AARP discount. I was given a very dirty, old room at the back of the hotel. When I complained they moved me to an updated room on the other side of the hotel. The room was adequate. There were a lot of construction workers staying there who parked large vehicles and trailers so it was hard to park. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was good. There was a lot of traffic getting to the hotel from the interstate.
Our stay was great except for trailer parking was limited. We had to park our camper in an area not visible from our room. That was a problem.
As stated in other reviews, this hotel can definitely use an upgrade. The beds were just ok, with pillows that don't keep their shape. The room was mostly clean, with a small amount of leftover trash found under the bed side. Our room had a ceiling that had water damage. Breakfast was supposed to be served until 10:00 am, but at 9:00 there were only 4 boxes of cereal, an apple, and a banana. No hot foods. Only stayed one night. I would recommend this hotel for the weary traveler who doesn't want to spend a few extra bucks to get a nicer place.
I love the Customer Service but it was way to expensive and totally filthy and outdated!! The beds were comfortable but the carpet was filthy, spider webs covered the ceilings and corners, The bathroom was nasty, the towels were unsanitary and dingy (hard). I was very disappointed with my stay and I spent way to much money to have to suffer with this. Was in need of a place for a few days until my place was move-in ready. NEVER AGAIN. They need to refund my money!!
The desk was rude and lazy, she would not help me get my reward price so I had to pay full price.I called the reward phone number and after 10 mintues talking with a computer I got to talk to a real person then after 5 mintues the phone went dead so I gave up.Plus the room was full of gnats.
This Baymont Inn in Mcdonough has seen its days and needs a major overhaul. Room needs the AC on continuously or it starts to smell musty.
