The bed is by far one of the most comfortable beds I have stayed. When I am booking an over night stay I always book this hotel as you are guaranteed a good night sleep. Staff are so friendly and happy to help I wouldn’t stay anywhere else

Lovely hotel, with beautiful staircase and lift. Lovely comfortable room, nice to work and sleep in. Staff were all excellent and the breakfast very nice. Very good value. Hope to return in the future.

Room and bed comfy. City centre near some superb restaurant including in house. Reception staff friendly, courteous and took time. Felt like a visitor not a chore to be shuffled like some receptions. Easy and friendly restaurant staff good value. Excellent hairdresser next door near shops pubs .

The interior of this hotel was quite quirky. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was nice and clean and had everything you needed. Although our room overlooked the street in front of the hotel, it was very quiet.

Not disappointed, excellent central position. Food good. Staff extremely helpful. Good sized room. Housekeeping left a little to be desired. Overall a very pleasant stay. Good location for visiting other renowned areas of Scotland,

Loved the quirkiness and history of this hotel.. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud..very comfy.. Had a great bath..Breakfast was excellent friendly staff.. No complaints.. I plan to stay again real soon

When checking In the Receptionist - didn't get the girls name but we had a conversation about Opera System and Boots - was so lovely and chatty, an absolute credit to the Hotel. The building was incredible with many amazing features including the original elevator, a glorious waterfall and sweeping staircase. I was in room 201, a nice double room with a bath - no view and it faced into the roof but it was quiet. The room itself was that of my Hotel dreams, a ridiculously comfortable bed and pillows, the most gorgeous wallpaper and a tartan throw and pillow that I would love for my own home! Oh and not to mention the white robe that so many hotels have sadly discarded. Decided to forgo the temptation of room service and ate in the brasserie instead which was also an enjoyable experience of eggs Benedict, buttered spinach and a few glasses of Rioja! Simply can't wait to return!

Stayed here for 1 night check in was really quick and receptionist was very friendly. Lovely lobby with an old fashioned lift. Stayed in a standard double which was really nice and had everything you needed for an overnight (hairdryer etc) The hotel is full of quirky features. Its within walking distance to central station , shops, restaurants etc so great location if you have no car. My only complaint would be I was in a room looking onto the street and it was quite noisy out up to around 3am (even through the week) with people in a nearby pub/club.

My boyfriend and I stayed for two nights before Christmas to celebrate his birthday and ABode proved to be an excellent choice. The room was very comfortable, well appointed, and spotlessly clean. We found the staff throughout the hotel to be very welcoming, friendly and professional. The breakfast was one of the best either of us had in a hotel with a very good selection of hot and cold foods, beautifully presented. The bar downstairs is also well worth a visit. As many people have already mentioned, the original lift in the lobby is a beautiful and unusual feature. All in all we had a wonderful visit and wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Me and my husband had a overnight stay on the 22nd December to celebrate my 50th Birthday we were given a complimentary upgrade of our room which was lovely and big and the hotel had also put two giant silver 50 balloons in our room which was a really nice surprise, The Food is excellant and staff are very friendly and helpful and made my 50th birthday special. We will be returning to the Abode In Glasgow and would recomend it.
