After arriving at 04.30am due to a flight delay the staff could not have been more helpful.Complementary tea and coffee in reception an added bonus. The room was spacious and absolutely spotless.we had lunch the next day and again well worth it.All in all 11 out of 10.Would definitely stay here again

Staying here for one night before a flight early in the morning. Rooms are relatively basic but clean. Decor and lighting is quite funky but that’s about all you get. Fine for what we need it for. Hotel is pretty new so everything is in good condition but I get the feeling it will deteriorate quite quickly.

We stayed only for a night and were dissapointed because the price is high and the facilities are not so good. The best thing is that you can be at the airport in 10 min walk. The atmosphere in the hotel is nice and the room and bathroom were very new and clean. But I wouldnt recommend to stay if you need to rest...The room was very noisy because of the heating/cooling machine. It is automatic so you cant turn it off during the night and it is really noisy. We also heard the shower of the room next to ours as if it was inside our room.

New hotel and new staff... beds comfortable enough but pillows SHOCKING. Sleeping on brick would have been more comfortable. At 19.30 I went to get some food at the bar and three of the hot items Lasagne/Veg Lasagne /Chicken curry all sold out. Went across the road to the Double Tree and had a very tasty Lamb Shank and a glass of Merlot. Will stay at the Hilton next time

As a Marriott rewards member, I was greatly disappointed with this hotel. I recognize it is a busy crowded airport hotel, but it is substandard for Marriott. Although a new hotel, it has no air conditioning and opening the window allows you to spend the night listening to airport traffic. Hence sleeping was near impossible. Staff was terrible and overwhelmed, as the flawed Moxy concept requires staff to work front desk, act as bartenders and provide food service, all of which involved long waits and poor service. Worst of all, this hotel has electronic system to issue private parking fines if you drive on to property and stay longer than 10 minutes. Check in line took 20 minutes while rental car sat outside and was fined. Rental car company will not pay private parking fine and told me to not pay fine either. The only redeeming qualities of this hotel was a clean room and good bathing facilities. Stay elsewhere and take a taxi to airport.

My wife and I booked, well in advance, into the Moxy Hotel Edinburgh Airport for Saturday Sept. 7th 2019. We wanted an on-site airport hotel for easy access for our 2am return flight from Rhodes. It looked clean and new and it was a Marriott so no worries! How wrong we were! We arrived there at about 3am and were first allocated a room on the 3rd floor. When we opened the door there was a tradesman's step-ladder by the window and cardboard boxes strewn across the floor. The bed was unmade. We returned to the reception/bar where another guest had also returned to complain about problems with her room! The two 'Crew' members of staff looked anxious and stressed. The one trying to help us, after much 'clicking' on the computer assured us she had a room on the 1st floor. She went up to look it over but returned some time later unable to get into it because the 'lock was broken'. More computer 'clicking' and anxious looks later she went up to view a room on the 4th floor. While there she changed the bed-linen and 'wiped' the shower area down herself. She apologised for the room 'not looking great' but at least the bed was now clean and this was the best she could do for us. She had no on-duty supervisor or cleaning staff to support her or to call. Another couple arrived meantime to check in and had to wait a long time to be told there was no room for them either!! I do not know what happened to them. At about 4am eventually we got into the 4th floor room. The 'downie' was thin and too small for the bed and there was a second one lying in a bundle with no cover. The towels were untidily folded in the en-suite and we suspected they may have been used by a previous guest. We could not be sure so postponed our shower and used only the hand towel. This whole scenario is not the fault of the young, overnight duty staff who were left, completely unsupported, with a shortage of available, appropriately serviced rooms for the expected, arriving guests. Both staff members were polite and were trying to do their best for us but with inadequate resources. The problem rests firmly with this hotel's management. It's all well and good to have funky looking, modern, city bistro style interior design but a hotel's main raison d'être is surely to provide their guests with a clean, properly serviced room when it has been booked and paid for in advance and in good faith. On checking out, I asked the day staff member to submit a formal complaint to her manager about our experience. We await his/her response with interest, but not with a lot of expectation. PS this is the first time I have written a 1 star review on any hotel or accommodation.

We were travelling on holiday with an early check in and booked Moxy.Price was favourable and a nice hotel. Room clean and spacious for a one night stay. Staff at check in friendly and helpfull. Food was of good qaulity and service was also good, Would stay again.

What’s good? A walk to the airport if you don’t mind getting wet. The airport manager should be made to do this walk to the car rental returns and hotels every day till he brings in a shuttle service. The bed was comfy if only you could get the chance to sleep . The staff are friendly but powerless in the face of what the manager would like to think is funky or trendy. It isn’t. The lounge features pillars of books ( for an age group who do not read). The rooms have no instruction book or phone to allow the staff to sort the various problems. The key and notes are awful shots at a Youff Market. Just what is the girl on the key doing on the table football table? Think we should be told. Why does the only waste basket (in the bathroom) have two different sized holes in the top? Will anyone own up to designing the under bed motion operated light? So bright that you all wake up if anyone goes to the loo at night. Asked a staff member to switch it OFF. She said you can not switch the system off and that it is comparable to Marmite and that she did not like Marmite either. Poor tea tray, shower water pressure, bath soaps, bar snacks for the microwave. But the killer is the room temperature. The hotel info claims to have Air Conditioning. It does not! It has heating. Jammed on! Like something from a 50s porn film (my knowledge gained from a Pete and Dud sketch where ‘Thelma’ has the electric fire jammed full on and can not open the window!). The only difference with the Moxy, is that 2 girls on the staff could not turn down the heating but told me that , in their experience, the best thing was to open the window. This added to the considerable noise of the AC, sorry, heater. Too hot + Too noisy = No sleep = Request for refund.

Arrived and check in was fast and efficient. Went to our room and dropped our luggage then proceeded to the lobby for some food. Several tables were empty but full of dirty dishes and trash. Went to the bar to order some food and beverage. Beverages were served immediately plus a sandwich to go, my mistake was ordering a tomato and cheese flatbread. They gave me a device to notify me when my order was ready... about 40 minutes later I went up to check and the gentleman asked me who took my order and what did I order? I indicated the woman behind the bar, then he asked again what I ordered? Then he said that will be 5 more minutes... no apologies or acknowledgement of the mistake? 5 minutes later the Flatbread was ready. We then went to our room but the key didn’t work so had to come back down to the desk to ask them to reprogram the keys. Again the whole time I never saw anyone clearing the tables, I do realize the guest are suppose to clear their own plates but someone should walk around occasionally. No one mentioned please clear your own tables and place the items in the containers provided.

I found the place hit & miss. Nice rooms , quiet, couldn’t hear others, good shower! Windows, lights in the dark, good blackout curtains, TV. Good rooms! Shame about the catering - food for dinner is poor - pizzas, nachos, basically anything that can go in a blast oven and is bought from Iceland. Breakfast was ok - decent coffee is extra. No bacon! Just beans and omelettes as hot food. Great rooms - don’t go for the food!
