Property is very close to airport - 200 yards +\-. There is a problem though with the free shuttle service - they will not drive onto property - and simply drive past - “IF” a tour charter bus is sitting in the hotels ONLY single parking spot for a bus. The hotel supposedly has a special place for those charter busses in the back of hotel - but I and others experienced waiting a long time for a tour bus to move - and driver refused hotel staff requests to move. This forced many to choose to walk to airport while pulling luggage a few hundred yards. No taxis stop by cuz drive is so short. Hotel needs to get control of this issue - cuz in Scotland weather even a short walk can be challenging.

Our new Edinburgh base

This hotel was amazing! You can walk to it form the airport (8 minutes) or use their shuttle. Room was spacious, king bed was huge and comfortable. We had drinks in the lounge and dinner in the restaurant. Service was like that at a five star restaurant. It would be a breeze to stay here and use the tram into Edinburgh. we didn't get a chance to take a swim but their pool is enormous. And they also have an on-sight spa and fitness room. This may be our new Edinburgh base.

It’s a shame that being a Hilton Honors member - as we were told by the front desk - means absolutely nothing. Our room was satisfactory, although only for an extra fee, is one is upgraded to a room with A/C.
