Stayed here for 3 nights in Sept 2019 and things were not right with the room from the outset. In the end we had to swap rooms three times! Hotel has never given me a proper apology or offered anything credible in the way of compensation, so i wouldn't waste your time with this hotel. Firstly, we checked in and I jumped in the shower only to find that the bath was not draining away. So being up to my ankles in water, it was clear that the plug/sink hole was broken (i.e. the plug would not release). So we reported this and Reception told us that we would need to move to another room - fine. Unfortunately, they said the second room would need to reconfigured as a twin room from its current double bed set up. They would arrange for housekeeping to do this while we were out in Frankfurt that evening. However, we we entered the 2nd room we noticed that the room hadn't been prepared properly - there was a bizarre arrangement in the bathroom with the toilet brush shoved in the the toilet basin and the hair dryer in the sink (see photos). The coffee machine was also in pieces like it needed to be cleaned and put back together. I reported this to Reception, they apologised and said it would be sorted while we were out. On our return at about 11pm, we noticed that the beds had been altered but nothing else had been attended to! I went to reception and they apologised but said that we would need to change to another room - the only one would be a double, not a twin. Not ideal, but I was fed up by this point and agreed to this room. So, on day 2, we requested to move to another room - in the end this was fine. I requested some form of compensation from the hotel for all the hassle but nobody has ever come forward with anything. I was offered a free meal for the two of us by one helpful guy on Reception, but when I returned to the hotel later to take them up on the offer, a different person on the Reception desk said he couldn't agree to this as he didn't know the circumstances - thanks for nothing guys! For a seemingly highly rated hotel, this was really bad. Last time we stayed in Frankfurt we stayed at the Dorint - I would recommend doing that then staying here at the Scandic Museumsufer. Why do these hotel operators think this kind of service is okay when the room rates are relatively high? If I treated my clients this way in my line of work, I wouldn't have any!

This hotel is stunning from the minute you walk in. The bar/lounge area is beautiful and I love that they have a 24 hour shop for any extra bits that you need. Room was very clean and had a fantastic view looking out onto Frankfurt’s skyline. My only gripes were the lighting in the bedroom isn’t very good (bathroom is excellent though!) and no snack/food minibar but I guess that’s what they have the shop downstairs for. Love that they have separate recycling bins and no plastic toiletries in the bathroom. Overall a great stay, would definitely return!

It just takes a friendly and can do attitude as well as a nice clean room for me to say “it was good” - some 5 star hotels forget this and everything here was great - staff were super helpful and even served me breakfast well after the normal time :) - thanks guys!!

The location is very convenient, within walking distance to Hbf and the river, even to downtown. The rooms were nice, modern and functional, only the washroom was a little dim. Breakfast was perfect! There was a wide selection of everything and the staff who helped in the dining area were all friendly and helpful. There was a minor issue though. One night I woke up at around 4a.m. and found that there was no water in the washroom / toilet. I called reception and the guy explained that they were having a problem at ground level and that they were trying to fix it, therefore they had turned off the water supply. From his tone I gathered he was even more anxious than I was. After his explanation, I was relieved and so I told him there was no need to call me again when the problem was fixed. Before I hanged up he asked for my room number, I reassured him again that I trusted all would be fine and there was no need to call. He said it was just protocol. Then I went back to bed. After a while he called back, telling me that everything was fine. Good news! In his anxiety / excitement, he might have forgotten that I had expressed my trust in his words and the request of leaving me alone. I wouldn’t blame him. If I were in his place, getting a call at 4a.m. and having to explain to a guest who might need water to wash that there was no water was really an taunting task. Luckily I had no difficulty falling asleep. Other than that, our stay (11ppl in 4 rooms) was perfect. I would recommend the hotel to anyone who visits Frankfurt.

Staff at the reception had attitude problems. There was dust in the room under the bed. No water in the room although they say there is one free of charge! No view, all you see is the Hotel Intercontinental

good location and great rooms / value for money. However, no parking and the elevators are so slow that it took up to 20 minutes to get up or down(!) Otherwise typical modern business hotel, more catering for self-service but people are friendly and breakfast is very good.

I stayed in the Scandic Frankfurt Museumsufer over the weekend 21 September. The hotel is within walking distance of Frankfurt (Main) Hbf Station and Main River . The reception area , bar area are bright modern and spacious and had bar food and drinks which were great also . Breakfast in the morning was delicious with a good variety of everything. There are 3 lifts but unfortunately only one was serviceable leaving a long wait for the lift when I was there . I booked a Superior Double Room, City View which was on the tenth floor . The room isn’t your standard design hotel room where the head of the bed is up against the wall . The bed head is in the middle of the room with the bed facing the window . The bed and walk around the bed is elevated to a different level than the other part of the room . The room is on two levels and feel this is a bad redesign and dangerous and was hazardous to me as I went to the bathroom in the middle of the night and on returning to bed, caught my ankle on the step up and fell over with force, counting my luck that I didn’t break any bone but was shaken badly . This review is just highlighting that I did have an incident , minor as it was , but if it happened to me , it could potentially happen to other guests .

The hotel was nice, location central and the young American clerk who checked us in was extremely helpful and welcoming. I was part of a group who booked this hotel as we were attending a trade show nearby. One of my colleagues is severely allergic to feathers and she informed the hotel at the time of booking and again at the time of check in. She was assured that the guest rooms were feather free but when she checked into her room and lay down on the bed her eyes started to swell and she started to have difficulty breathing. She checked the label of the comforter and discovered that it was down filled. Immediately she left the room and rushed to the entrance of the hotel to breathe fresh air. She messaged me to come down to her. The front desk realized that something was wrong and they alerted a manager who came outside to speak to us. The manager had a document in her hand and instead of asking my colleague if she was ok she kept referring to the document, saying that their rooms were certified allergy-free. My colleague told her the comforter was down-filled and the manager insisted they have been treated for allergens. My colleague tried to explain to her that no matter what the document said she had an allergic reaction to the down comforter and she would not be able to sleep in that room as she would not be able to breathe. The manager agreed to remove the comforter and de-feather the room. At no time during our stay did she or anyone else check up to see if my colleague was fine, if the de-feathered room was acceptable or if she needed anything.

I would definetely recommens Scandic Frankfurt Museumsufer! The staff is polite, rooms are clean, comfortable, stylish, very well equiped and the view of the skyline is simply breath-taking. My overall experience was amazing and I would definitely book again!

We enjoyed our stay in Scandic Hotel in Frankfurt. Service and Rooms are very good. Restaurant offers international and delicious scandic dishes. The location of the hotel was perfect, close to main station, downtown and Main river. We really can recomment this hotel. Next time in Frankfurt will most likely book this hotel again.
