We booked this hotel because it’s on the right side of the tracks! Very close to the main train station in Frankfurt. Staff very pleasant, room is small, bed comfortable, pillows average, shower tiny in a small but modern bathroom, water pressure good, carpet could do with a clean, room facing the street so a little on the noisy side, heating works well, breakfast buffet very acceptable. Room serviced daily.
A simple , good and clean hotel for a fair price in a nice area. Everything you need is available and the Central Station is minutes away. Breakfast is good and I will definitely come back when I am again in frankfurt.
My husband and I stayed at Townhouse Hotel for two nights and absolutely loved it. For the most part, I am a modest traveler that likes a clean, comfortable space to relax a little and to sleep in between sightseeing. This hotel really met all my expectations. The rooms (and lobby too) are smaller than most pictures seem to convey as there isn't a lot of walking space. The space in the shower is also small, so if you're a big person it might be a little problematic. Everything about the room was certainly adequate though; well kept, clean and comfortable, with a comfortable bed, space for clothing etc. The WIFI and AC worked great. I see people talking against getting a room that faces the street..sure, the street is somewhat noisy but if you're a people watcher... get a room facing the street! Townhouse has these huge cool windows where you can just gaze out below and chill out. The hotel does have electrical plug adapters but I'd recommend you walk with your own as the one we tried didn't work. Breakfast was a great deal! There was a nice range of items and they were delicious. Service- spectacular. Everyone was pleasant, friendly and helpful; they speak English as well. Lastly- the hotel is so close to the train station! We just walked from the hotel to there and to areas of interest, so this was a huge plus.
Stayed here with my husband on a three night break to Frankfurt for the Christmas Markets. The Hotel is located just metres from the Hauptbahnhof (Central Station) and about six minutes walk to the bus stop if you are travelling from Frankfurt-Hahn Airport. On arrival the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We had a double room at the front of the hotel. The double bed was queen size and not two singles put together as in some hotels. The room was very clean and adequate for our needs. Only gripe would be that the bathroom was a little of the small side. The breakfast area was nice with good size tables and comfortable seating. Breakfast was very good and the variety of options offered changed slightly each day. All staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them, well done. Some people have said that the area that the hotel is in is a bit "seedy", during the day it is just like any other multicultural city and apart from a bit of street noise in the early hours, which was minimal, I can't see a problem. There are a lot of Turkish/Middle Eastern/Asian shops and restaurants, where there are good places to eat and pick up a few spices. The Hotel is only a 10 min walk to the main shopping areas and the Altstadt (Old Town). If you don't want to walk there is a tram stop beside the hotel, three stops and you're there. What can I say, this is a great hotel, excellent value and I will definitely stay here again when in Frankfurt.
It can be difficult to find a nice hotel at a good price around Frankfurt Hbf, but this was definitely a great find. The street itself is not the nicest but perfectly safe, and this hotel is a peaceful haven just a short walk to the Hauptbahnhof. Rooms were very good as was the breakfast and wifi.
This property was in an excellent location close to railway station and within walking distance of the town. Found it useful that we could drop our bags within 5 mins of station and then walk around the city. We walked to all the places that we wanted to visit from here including art gallery and Christmas markets.
It is a typical medium level hotel. Nothing can impress you as good nor as bad. The carpet a bit too old. It makes you think that you are probably the one thousandth person treading that floor carpet. The room was quiet but the neighbourhood was not. All in all, it was the excessively high price that makes you think it was not value for the money.
Just returned from Frankfurt. Its my 3rd year but first time staying in the Townhouse Hotel. The hotel is literally a 3 minute walk from the main train station and is about 10/15 minute walk to the Christmas Markets in one direction and the big Skyline Shopping Centre in the other direction. Staff were lovely our return flight was cancelled on the Sunday night due to snow and when we returned back to the hotel looking to see if they had a room for the night they couldn't have been nicer. The rooms are compact but you have everything you need, plenty of bars, restaurants, supermarkets etc around the area. We will definitely be staying in the TownHouse Hotel again. Highly Recommended.
Townhouse Hotel is a good option for short stays in Frankfurt, is close to the Train Central Station and close of lots of Turkish Restaurants that are open on Sunday (which is not so common in Frankfurt). The receptionist was very kind. The room was clean and had a convenient size. The breakfast was very good, with lots of options including scrambled eggs with vegetables, orange juice, coffee, fresh vegetables, yogurt and cereals, as well as ham, bacon and other varieties of cold meats.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room and entire hotel were clean. Excellent breakfast buffet. Slightly shady neighborhood, but very convenient to the train station. Great value for the price.
