Great hotel next to all amenities. Staff friendly enough. Didn't do breakfast loads of eating places near by. I see people complaining about lack of pillows just ask a member of staff for more we did and they obliged. Clean and basic. No tea or coffee in room they should supply that . No air con I could see that being a problem in hot months but heater works in winter. I would stay here again no problem couldn't get a better situated hotel
Booked through a discount website and got a cheap enough deal so was happy enough with what we got.... it was clean and tidy and the room was presented well. Breakfast wasn't included and was a bit steep but a nice variety of a continental breakfast. The room was at the front of one of the main streets so was a bit noisy but other than that a nice place to rest our heads.
Clean hotel, helpful friendly staff but no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. The rooms are basic but have everything you need apart from my first comment. There is a small bar area which is reasonably priced
I stayed here with my mom, son and a friend had a fantastic stay both rooms were clean beds were really comfortable. Bathroom was modern n very clean well stoked. Towels changed every day. Highly recommend staying there. Staff were really helpful & friendly. Views from windows were great. Central to we’re we wanted to be. Tram stops straight outside which was great. Will be booking again.
I visited this hotel November 2017. The receptionists were quite rude. For example when I asked about the breakfast, the guy in the desk told me to check the information in the elevator, and the next day, when I came back to my hotel in the evening, the same guy started to cross examine if I am a guest. In the mornings, when I leaved the hotel, receptionists did not bother to reply my "good morning" expressions. Rooms were dusty. I am not sure if the bed linen were changed, cause I found hair there. Pillows were bumpy. Soundproofing is non-existent. Nearly all the sound from the streets can be heard inside the room.
The hotel is located fairly centrally, about 5 mins walk from the Hauptbahnhof in one direction and then about 10 minutes walk in the opposite direction into the city centre. The room itself was okay, fairly small and with a single bed and a rather uncomfortable and solitary pillow. Breakfast was fairly basic, a small selection of cold meats, cheese, bread and fruit. Staff were friendly however and as I was only at the hotel for a couple of nights and didn't spend too much time there it wasn't too bad.
I know this information won't effect the Hotel team cos they don't care but Booking.com should really think before categorizing this HOSTEL as a HOTEL 325* euros for 2 nights And no water bottles No bathroom amenities Dirty room and bathroom Torn bathroom supplies Stingy staff ONE-old IRON BOARD for the entire property Dirty cutlery and crockery in restaurant Counted and same same items for B/f I have stayed in way bigger- cleaner - with more facilities HOSTEL then this so called hotel You as BOOKING.COM need to keep it as HOSTEL I ONLY BOOKED IT COS ON YOUR WEBSITE ITS A HOTEL . Staff - fair youn looking guy in the night TOO COOL to do this job AND HAD NO RESPECT TO TALK TO PEOPLE Few things which I liked - wiFi - Location - Lady In breakfast session
Older style budget hotel 500m from central train station. We appreciated the early checkin after more than 20 hours travel from Australia. Room was smallish but clean, beds comfortable, free wifi was good, and there were some English speaking tv channels. Bathroom spacious and clean, water hot with good flow. On the negative side, there was no air conditioning and room was hot and humid. Opening the window didn't help and made it very noisy in the room- trams and trucks most of the night. The bench fan supplied was broken and didn't help much, and it was not possible to position it so all 3 room occupants benefited from it. In the bathroom, the shower was positioned over the bath making it difficult for those with limited mobility, and the bath drain was blocked. Had to shower standing in six inches of water that took a long time to drain away. Shower head wouldn't stay in position, so couldn't stand under the water, and soap dispenser practically empty. Overall, the potential for a comfortable stay.
Memphis hotel on Muenchner Straße is about 11 Kilometers from Frankfurt am Main airport, and on the S-Bahn line as well as near the U-Bahn stop. The airport taxi with an Indian driver we took from the airport; without traffic delay, overcharged me ( over €38 while the normal rate was about €25). He made the route longer and the meter was not working properly. The hotel has about 7 floors with a lift and has family rooms. The staff at the reception were found helpful. The hotel is close to the main train station, and some small shops are around. The corridors need better ventilation. The room is functional with good space with central heating, but no air condition. An electric fan is provided in the room. There is no tea making facility inside the room, but hot water is available from the "Maschine" at the reception. Only one pillow is provided on a bed. There is a minibar and a TV in the room. There is only one chair in the triple room, and there is no table. The breakfast is available at a reasonable price. It is advisable to take an upper floor.
The hotel is minimally equipped. They claim three stars, but really, it's on the meagre side of it. The best I can say is that it is clean. The wifi is slow, the bathroom and shower are very small. The location is close to a lot and directly on the #11 & #12 street car lines.
