Initially I was disappointed by a twin room with small beds, I am tall so this was inconceivable for 2 nights especially as my booking indicated a king size. After a complaint and a long period of waiting I was offered a king size bed. My daughter was taken ill so I only stayed one of my two booked nights. Sadly in my haste I left an outfit in the cupboard which I have still yet to receive a week later. Poorly dealt with - I certainly don’t expect this from this Calibre of Hotel - that said the meal in the grill on the first night was good as was the service.
This wasn't our first stay here, it was our 5th... I booked our stay (2 rooms, 1 night) trough the Marriott website as I always do. While I booked, I forgot to fill out that there were 2 persons per room. At check-in, the lady at the frontdesk saw we were with 4 persons, 3 adults and 1 child. She nearly attacked me (she did verbally anyway)....I had to pay extra for the extra persons etc etc.....I was really shocked at the way she treated me! I know, I did something wrong with filling out 1 person per room but she made me look like a fool! I am a Marriott Platinum for Life member.....Our number was not in their system....She could not see what package I booked bla bla...We asked for the manager-on-duty. He came...But he did not know where he was talking about. We thought he was just working for the company shortly....We complained about the way we were treated...No sorry, no excuses...Nothing done to make it up to us...More worse, we were given their most cheap rooms (Run-of-house....) We decided to go to another hotel but according to the lady at the frontdesk 'it was not possible'.....What a joke! We decided to stay but there was a next surprise! We had access to the executive lounge because of our status. But the lounge was closed for refurbishment. They put up some lounge in a room downstairs...It was never communicated with us or on their website. We had a drink there but it was very, very busy...Only plus was the lovely Rumanian waiter...Their breakfast buffet was nice, but at 6.30 there was nobody to make us some eggs, cooked to order....Canned fruits...Nice coffee....The room itself looked renovated since last time we stayed there. But we still had to shower in the bath-tub...Come on Marriott, this is so not done anymore! Waterpressure was low.. Next time while in Frankfurt we opt again for Westin, Steigenberger or Jumeirah where they treat their loyal customers as they should!
I stayed here for 5 nights during my business trip to Frankfurt. Hotel is Standard Marriott hotel nothing fancy about it, I stayed on 38th floor. Room sizes are like what one can expect in Europe. This is expensive hotel, unless you have breakfast included in your package it will cost you 30 euro's and it is totally not worth it as fruits served are canned fruits. I have had better breakfast at other Marriott's and Hyatt's. in the room they have standard coffee/tea and do not offer any complimentary water bottles. Fitness room is really small compared to size of the hotel, depending on how busy it is you may have to wait for someone else to finish. Another challenge is first few floors are office building, elevators here take long time. Service was decent and all staff are friendly and courteous, what you would expect from Marriott. Location is good there is public transport and you can take taxi, it is about 10 mins walk from Frankfurt's main train station.
I feel bad as most aspects of the hotel itself were fine, but the service left a lot to be desired. I stayed and used the app to request a wake up call, because I had a fairly important meeting, and I knew I would not wake up in time, and I like the wake up call as a backup to my alarm on my phone. Well, the wake up call came 1 hour early. This was quite frustrating, as I was not then able to get back to sleep at that point, and lost an hour of valuable sleeping time. So far, not a big deal though. I mean, a particularly annoying mistake, but one which could have been rectified fairly easily with some apology. But instead, when I phoned them to alert them of the issue, they claimed that I didn't request the wake up call at the time I stated. Fortunately I had requested it via app, and it documented the requested time, so I could prove to them that I was telling the truth. Because they decided to blame it on me, rather than accept responsibility. I realise that this is an unnecessarily long review, but it is always upsetting to be accused of lying and so that is why I have an overall less than positive opinion of this hotel. However, if you don't mind that sort of attitude, then it is an otherwise decent hotel.
This Marriott is very consistent with the Marriott quality and service. I always stay here when I’m in Frankfurt. They must be busy, because I’ve only once received a complimentary Platinum member room.
We had 3 nights in room 3418. It's a lovely room. Big enough with all you would need. Great view but I expected an upgrade as a gold member and suspect I got what I'd booked. Still, no real complaint. The view from the 34th floor was great. We got access to the executive lounge. It's a good space but the staff! As miserable as I've met and it seemed they were counting all you could eat. It was only a few nuts and crisps anyway. Both of them. Him and her but he was worst. Went up for a beer at 23:10 on evening as it closed at midnight and he'd locked the lot up. We went back down to Champions and had a couple of cocktails. It's great in there with lovely people. Maybe those upstairs should do a stint. Tamara was first class. Very nice and others too whose names we didn't get. The breakfast is amazing in the brasserie. Wonderful staff again all round. Great choices too many to list. You won't be disappointed. One last mention to Jesus. The concierge in the lobby. Very helpful with some good local travel tips. Have a word with him.
I was attending the Ambiente Fair at Messe and Marriott was the perfect location. The breakfast was a great variety of food and the cafe provided a nice ambiance to work and relax. Because of the location, it was also easy to get around Frankfurt. The rooms were small but the view from the 36th floor was amazing.
Arrived at 9 am and they had room available! So friendly and helpful and the executive lounge is amazing! When I’m lazy I spend the day there and end up eating my full dinner from the free evening set up. Every night they have an amazing cheese plate!
This property is at the upper end of what's included in the Marriot brand. Large comfortable room, large executive lounge (available to gold members) is well staffed with very respectable breakfast and evening snack options. The service is the sports bar was quick and efficient, with a good atmosphere. Food and drink quality was good. The walk from the hauptbahnhof was about 15 minutes, but it's in a straight line so very easy. It is a little further from an S bahn station than I would like. This was a great place to stay a couple of days and get some work done.
A true Marriott Experience. Visited this place in July 2017. The location just superb . near to tube and busbay. The view from my room was scenic. I could see the whole Frankfurt region from my room .Watching the City from that height gave me goosebumps. The room was clean and well aid out . Th property is just like an 5 star property .The buffet was well laid out and was delicious as well. Overall an amazing experience. Strongly recommend to others.
