Holiday Inn Express Frankfurt Messe

Positive: Friendly staff, clean room, clean bathroom apart from floor in front of the toilet seat that was not cleaned properly. Free internet. Negative: No minibar in the room. Breakfast room can be crowded, especially during trade fairs. My rating: a good three stars.

We came for an expo at the Messe and found the hotel very convenient. They have a shuttle to the expo. It is 10 minutes walk to many restaurant on the river. Staff is kind and helpful. Breakfast is good. Will come back.

The hotel is located about 5 mins away (by bus) from the main Frankfurt train station. The bus stop is just across the road from the hotel, and so it is very convenient. However there is nothing around the hotel area - no restaurants or shops. The hotel has a restaurant in the lobby that serves breakfast (only). No other meals. Breakfast is a limited spread. For vegetarians, you get bread, cereals and some fruits. Dinner becomes tricky especially since there is nothing around the hotel, but one can call for food delivery from restaurants. (Surprisingly the pizza delivery guy came right up to my room without any checks/security by the hotel people. Coming from Asia, that was a bit of a surprise!) My room was basic but sufficient. Decent sized work desk, a couch and a double bed. No fridge or mini bar. Wardrobe was meant to be a few open shelves with 4 hangers. In addition, there are 3 spots for hanging your coats etc. The bathroom was small but worked well. The bathroom cubicle was well designed and prevented water from leaking out even when the water pressure was high. The hotel is convenient for Messe Frankfurt. Itโ€™s a 10 minute walk to the S Bahn station and then only one stop on the train. Overall, itโ€™s a convenient hotel if you are in Frankfurt for Messe (during which time, the rates go up 2-3 times), but otherwise you can probably find a better hotel.

I spent a night here and the room was very nice and not far from the rail station. I can't say too much about it since I didn't get a chance to get around Frankfurt at all but the staff was friendly and they had to work on Christmas Day.

Clean, comfortable hotel with everything needed. Rooms are quite spacious and modern, big bed and plenty of room for suitcases etc. Bathroom has separate toilet and shower is nice and spacious compared to other hotels across Europe. Breakfast service is basic (not hot meals) but still great. There is a bus stop outside the hotel however you do need to wait up to 15mins at times for the bus which only goes to the main station- wouldn't recommend if you are wanting to be in town.

Smelly bathroom and Dirty floors and untidy room. Such a horrible hotel it is. Staff was rude and not friendly. The sofa bed is NOT actually a sofa bed and the phone Was was not working to speak to the reception. Every time you need to speak to the reception, we had to go downstairs. Only 2 towels and 2 cups in the room for 4 people. 1 double and 1 single duvet was given for 4 people. My kids hurt themselves with the metal bars on the side of the bed.

This hotel is cheap and cheerful, it's clean, has basic facilities, the staff are helpful. The continental breakfast is good, remember there will be no English fry ups nor is there tea such as Yorkshire or PG Tips tea :) We arrived early, but with only a 20 minute wait our room was ready. Our room was not massive, but it was clean, private bathroom, TV (english tv channels) etc. Facing the street, you'd imagine lots of noise, this was not the case. A decent nights kip we had. Leave the "do not disturb sign" on the door handle as the staff will want to clean. The receptionist was very helpful, maps were supplied with details of which bus/tram to catch. Only negative was that the receptionist (Saturday afternoon) ordered our taxi for 5:40am when I actually said 4:30am, not to worry as a few phones calls were made and the taxi was here and on our way we went.

I stayed at Holiday inn express Frankfurt for one night only. I have to say I was impressed with the quality of the rooms and particularly at the clever bathroom solution separating the toilet and the bathroom with a single door from the living space. The breakfast however was weak in variety (no Omelettes for example) and offered no lactose free milk so I had to enjoy my coffee in itself. The area is industrial so not much to see but the bus 37 offers good chance to get downtown.

Clean. Breakfast ๐Ÿฅž included with basic things delicious ๐Ÿ˜‹ bread ๐Ÿฅ– . ๐ŸšŒ bus near by. Small room. No refrigerator. No iron. Good for family, with ๐Ÿ‘ถ Kinder channel tv ๐Ÿ“บ. With sofa ๐Ÿ›‹ bed .there free parking in the street.

Booked this hotel as staying overnight after long-haul flight and picking up hire car (branch of rental company within walking distance). While the area appears to be light industrial, the walk into the old city is 20-30 minutes (5 minutes by car but be aware of limited parking options). Not a great many dinner options nearby so might want to eat in town if you don't want to eat in the hotel. We did stumble upon a fantastic pizza restaurant (on Mainzer Landstrsse a few hundred metres from Camberger Strasse intersection) that was amazing and unbelievably good value. Rooms were not large (but large enough to include a desk) and the beds and pillows were comfortable. Bathrooms were clean and plenty of towels. Car parking is 12 euros per day and allows you to enter and exit as many times as you need (just get the first ticket validated at reception). As with all hotels in HI Express franchise, free breakfast is included. The hotel clearly does a big trade in tours (yes the tour buses parked outside were a giveaway) and breakfast was crowded by 8am. That said, the food did not run out and there was a reasonable array that included cereal, boiled eggs, various types of fresh rolls, bread, croissants, meats, cheeses, jams, juice and coffee. Staff were around cleaning up quickly so no mess left lying around despite the crowd. All in all, a reasonably priced option for a stop over or quick trip.
