Staff are rude for a start. €2 each per day just to be a tourist .Rooms are old fashioned with gold lights in room and chrome ones also.Try and stick too old or new style .Rooms very worn.Advertised as a double room. Its two single beds with two single duvets pushed together.A total dive of a place with staff who are rude and disrespectful. Won't set foot in this dump again.Lights are dangerous with no covers.Door hasn't been painted in years.€4 for a bottle of water most hotels give you for free.Stay well clear of this dump.
I just hate when hotels 'offer' queen rooms but in fact you get 2 single beds with 2 single duvets just put together. 1 queen bed means 1 bed. End of story. I was on a business trip with a colleague, took us half an hour to check in because I booked 2 rooms and accidentally my colleague's boss also booked a room for him. Weeks in advance. Same traveller name, same dates - guess what, hotel did not say a word or notified us in advance that we might have a potential double booking. We realized it at 17:45 when we tried to check in. The ' helpful' receptionist only said that one of the bookings can be cancelled until 18.00 so "you have ten minutes, hurry up".... I asked him to cancel it, he said they are not allowed to do so, we have to do it. We managed to cancel it last minute but had other payment related issues so took forever to get room keys. Payment was settled by company next day - no info or feedback received from reception, we had to ask two days later if everything is ok. Rooms are big, in good shape but 1queen bed=2single beds is really destroying things. Breakfast is 13EUR and not that good, hotel has sauna - for 9.90EUR/person/day! What a rip off!!! I had daily battles with the cleaning lady - im 6'3 - 190cm tall, set up shower accordingly, next day after cleaning it was set back to accommodate a 5'1 person. I set it back - next day down again... Really???? In room safe can hold a 15" laptop but you have to play tetris to put it inside so easy to get scratches on your computer. No minibar or fridge, I would expect it from a 4* hotel... Wifi OK, easy to connect but have to reconnect on a regular basis and coverage not the same throughout the building. All in all good location if you have business to do around the Messe area, very close to subway station so city center / main railway station directly accessible and with 1 change you can get to the airport as well, but the price/services quality is not so good and staff is not very friendly, helpful and guest oriented. Price depends on events in Frankfurt, it can be super expensive one night (around 400EUR) and next night price drops to 80EUR.... So be careful about cancellations, even if only 1st night is charged it can still be more than 50% of your total stay....
Well situated in quiet residential area and easy to get to and from messe. Bedroom well appointed although a little dark. Sparse communal facilities. Front office staff basically courteous but not friendly.
We stayed at Novum Hotel Imperial for one during a business trip. The room was decent, spacious enough, with somewhat old furniture, the bathroom was decent, probably more recently furnished than the room itself. But the service was pretty bad for a 4 star hotel. Especially one service attendant was out right rude. When we got there there was no one to greet us. We wanted to do an early check in, at least drop our luggages. They made us carry our luggages ourselves. Overall the service experience was very poor.
I found the rooms to be quiet and comfortable. The location was convenient for me, near to two Ubahn stations. My interactions with staff were minimal, and I didn't purchase the breakfast option, so I can't speak on either.
Hotel with average decoration, bathroom is modern. Unfortunately I had a room on the side of the street so it was loud due to traffic and tram passing by Breakfast was poor (especially for the price...) Staff is friendly and helpful
Me and my friends stayed here for 3 nights over Christmas and we were shocked to see no telephones in any of the rooms. The toiletries are a joke (look and feel like public pool stuff) The elevator carpet stank like a wet dog and the extra bed was super uncomfortable. I wouldn't recommend this as a 4*, but as a quick, cheap city break hotel, away from noise but walking distance to the city centre.
This is my third time staying in Novum hotel. It is an ideal base if you are visiting Frankfurt for a few days. The rooms are very clean and cosy, the bathroom is spotless with fresh towels each day. We did not have breakfast there but a lot of the other guests were having breakfast. It is very close to Messe and not very far from the centre of Frankfurt. We walked into the centre and it only takes 30 minutes to get there, you can also get the Uban. It is also a very safe are with plenty of nice restaurants in the area. Very good value for what we paid. Would definitely return.
The hotel was nice and the room was very big and comfortable. Its in a good convenient location close to the train, tram, supermarkets and restaurants. However, wifi connection was the worst. Keep disconnecting. Always lost the connection after one minute of video call. Other than that, a nice place.
My girlfriend and I stayed at the Novum Imperial over three nights in July while travelling the country on a budget. We were after a well-priced, city centre hotel. The hotel was clean, simple, had friendly and helpful English-speaking staff who gave us a quick overview of the city when we checked in. The hotel also held our bags free of charge a couple of hours before check-in and did the same when we left but didn't leave the city until later on. The hotel isn't about a half and hour walk from the station - just about close enough with four heavy rucksacks to walk. However, there is a U-Bahn stop five minutes walk away, making getting around easy. We hadn't included breakfast in our package and at €14 a day, we thought this was expensive. As an alternative, there is a lovely cafe called Extra Blatt which does fantastic breakfast down by the U-Bahn stop.
