Dated hotel in Frankfurt. They moderise the photos for their website but there's no mistaking that 1970's look as soon as you enter. As soon as you see it you feel a bit conned. I was on 23rd floor which was good and bad. Good because even numbered floors are mezzanine level and I'd have had to go up a flight of stairs every time I got out of the lift. It was bad 'cos the Internet connection doesn't seem to be too good up there. Also, some of the lifts are having some work done to them and the wait, at breakfast time, to get downstairs can be super long. Waited 15 minutes one morning. Having said all that, my, dated, room was large and comfortable, the breakfast was ok and it wasn't too expensive a place to stay. Not 4 star standards though.
I have been in Frankfurt many times. This hotel is just the best. Rates are fair. Rooms very clean and modern. View from higher floors are amazing. Not far from the airport and city woods. Relaxing stay.
Nice hotel. Room was good- though bathroom compact with shower over bath. Breakfast was good, busy but it worked. Bus stops right outside. In room safe and plenty of space in the bedroom. Lifts were busy in the morning and we ended up using the stairs in the morning- tricky when carrying bags.
Tiered, needed lift up and major cleaning, 2 lifts are not functioning, ucomfortable bed and pillows. Large room, lots of storage, balcony allowing fresh air in. Good breakfast There is safe, kettle and fridge in the room
Friendly staff and clean room. A bit more traffic noise than I'd normally like. Breakfast buffet was crowded with other tour groups. An OK one night stop for our tour group in transit between major sites.
Not what you would expect from a four star Hotel of a Banking Metropolis. You can feel the Spirit of the 1980's. Ver yloud bar with loud guests (no conversation possible at times). The süpoorts bar has an insufficient Ventilation, so it smells of Food everywhere (not the Kind of smell you would expect). All in all, one can see, that they try to maximize their profist in using an old four star classification with Minimum Investments in repair and Innovation, until it is over.
It is a really high building in the outskirts of Frabkfurt, good access from the airport. They have a lot of daily guest, so it is always busy in the loby. Rooms are comfortable and clean. If you get a room close to the lifts it can be a bit noisy. Restaurant serves delicious food, only the waiters are a bit to eager to take your plates that look empty- often disturbing you while you still eat or talk with your friends.
I've stayed at ths hotel many times over the last 20 years, but this is the first time since it passed from Holiday Inn to Leonardo. The changes are purely cosmetic, but the property has been enhanced by new carpets and furnishings in public areas. While not in the centre of Frankfurt the area is nice, and the upper floors of the hotel offer a panoramic view of the Frankfurt skyline or the surrounding woods. Breakfast is good, although it can get busy (as can the five elevators). The free wifi was much better than at other hotels of a similar class, although if you have serious uploading to do the premium service costs €6 per day.
