More or less, it's a newer Fairfield Inn with nice decor, furnishings, and comfortable beds. This property is a little different than the typical FI, as they display local items and favorites, including local wines. This area has become very attractive to many because of the numerous wineries in the Yadkin River valley. A nice surprise was an outside patio with comfortable seating. We enjoyed sitting in the area in the evening talking to family members who were also guests. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Check-in staff were excellent at accommodating our requests for room locations, and many other things. The breakfast bar was much better than some of the other FI that I have visited. I would certainly stay there again if the opportunity arises.
Conducted a seminar on a Sunday afternoon. The room was set up beautifully, and complemented the Red/White/Blue theme for Memorial Day / 4th of July. The staff was helpful and attentive. The hotel was decorated and had such a fun feel to it. The rooms were great and the bed was very very comfortable. If you go, without much to choose in dining, you cannot go wrong with Pirates Landing, right down the road from the hotel. Food was excellent.
I would go out of my way to stay at this hotel! Nice courtyard area, real plates, cups and cloth napkins. Stayed one night on our way to New York and made plans to stay again on our way home. Decorated for the 4th of July! Just a cheerful place! Rooms were nice too!
We stayed here a week prior to this visit. I felt the hotel was very nice and clean. The second visit I still feel the hotel is nice, but I question the cleanliness. I found crumbs on the made bed. They obviously didn't change the sheets from the last guests. I would stay here again dispite questionable cleanliness.
This is our second visit to this hotel while traveling from Boston to Florida. We only spent one night but returned here because we were impressed the first time. Rooms are large with a sitting area and king bed. The breakfast is included and is the best we have had at Marriott's that include breakfast. Hotel is right off of I-77 so very convenient to get off and back on the highway.
We have stayed here 2 years in a row with a great experience both times. Free cookies in the evening and free hot breakfast with a lot to choose from. Rooms were clean and the pool and fitness area are nice! Outdoor patio area is relaxing.
We make this a stop twice a year. Always decorated for the holidays and the breakfast is great. With the online Marriott APP we we're able to order extra items like pillows and they were ready for us.
I stayed at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Elkin Jonesville during a weekend getaway in the northwestern part of North Carolina. At that point, I had been visiting Mt. Airy and was planning to drive a segment of the Blue Ridge Parkway, and this was one of the lodging options in that area. Because I am a Marriott Platinum Elite member, I tend to gravitate towards their properties, and made a reservation here. The hotel is easy to access from the freeway, though the entrance to the property (shared with an adjacent gas station/mini-mart) is a little strange to get to - and can be easily missed - from the westbound direction. As with the best of the Fairfield Inns, the exterior property (grounds and building) was immaculate. The same was expected inside, and I was not disappointed; all public spaces - and the guest room - was equally immaculate. The elevators were a touch on the slow side, but not so bad that it was a major inconvenience. The guest room I had was more than spacious for my needs. In some respects, it was larger than several extended stay "suites" I have stayed in at some properties around the country over the years. Furnishings and the bed were modern-looking and very comfortable. While there were some very minor spots of wear noticed, they didn't detract from the quality of the stay. Also notable was that where I did notice it, it was also noticeable that in most respects, the property management had been proactive to repair them (e.g., spot touch-ups of paint where a chair or other item had scuffed the wall). There were some very nice amenities in the rooms, such as the Bose Acoustic Wave stereo and a small refrigerator. Climate control in the room worked very well, and it was nice - as well as a rare occurrence - to walk into a room after check-in where the temperature wasn't set so high as to be immediately hot and stuffy. TV channel selection was very good. Wi-fi was easy to connect to and was fast. The bathroom was equally spacious; it also seems rare these days when you have one where you don't have to do "gymnastics" with the door, toilet, etc. to use the shower, sink, and so on when getting ready for your day. Also, the room was very quiet for the entire duration of my stay; even on a fairly busy night, there was no ambient noise from adjacent rooms, the nearby elevator, or the hallway that I could hear at any point. The property provided a complimentary breakfast service that was excellent. Dining options for other meals could be found within a few miles of the property (both fast food and chain casual dining). The hotel also demonstrated good promotion for the area wineries - which are also fun to visit - by providing a nice "gift-shop" area with a nice selection of local varieties. Customer service - at least to the extent that I experienced it - was very good throughout the course of my stay. Overall, I was very pleased with this property, and would definitely recommend for leisure travelers visiting or passing through the area. If I am in the area again, I would not have any hesitation in staying here again.
I have stayed at several Fairfield Inns by Marriott and this particular location has many extras that are not included at other Fairfields. The cleanliness and extra details were excellent; the breakfast had a crew of people making sure all items were replenished. They even had cloth napkins with silverware verses plastic plates and utensils. The room had a safe in it that was very convenient. Because I'm a Gold member, they gave a welcome package that included several snack items, other places only give water. This particular Fairfield was definitely above your typical Fairfield.
My husband and I stayed here for a quick anniversary getaway. There's something about this hotel that is just a cut above the rest. They have beautiful local wine for purchase right when you walk in, clean, cute decor, and a very friendly staff. The bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious. Breakfast had lots of choices and even cloth napkins with real silverware. The outdoor patio area is a great spot for a cocktail and the pool/jacuzzi looked great. I would highly recommend this place! It's a gem.
