Staff friendly and wearing masks. Hotel is dated and rooms in need of update. Beds comfortable.
The first room had a major leak and there was water raining into the room. The second room the TV did not work. The third room was just ok. No breakfast and no substitute for breakfast which is normally available. There was a coffee station and the coffee tasted like it was made from yesterday's used coffee grounds. On check-out, they tried to charge me again for my pre-paid room. No one on staff was wearing a mask!
Beautiful scenery but they need to take care of the rooms a little better. There was splashed coffee dried on the wall near the coffee maker, the bracket that held the iron fell off of the wall when I lifted the iron and the fan in the bathroom didn’t work.
Our heat didn't work. The front desk offered to give us another room but as it wasn't overly cold we decided not to move, we were already unpacked.
The location is great, right on the water. We did not have a fridge in our room, and carpeting was wet and stained in spots.
Right on Lake Erie with nice views. Facilities are a bit worn.
Hotel was clean and quiet. Staff was nice. Breakfast was good.
The staff was very friendly and my room was very roomy and clean. There was not a refrigerator in the room (not a big deal for my one night stay but would be nice if you were staying there longer). They were able to accommodate my late check out request which was a huge bonus for me. The continental breakfast could have been a little better and maybe offer more fresh fruit and yogurt choices. (Note that I did go down later). The area around the hotel was very nice and right on the water. I would definitely be staying here again.
Music outside and loud talking went on until after midnight (Friday night) was destroyed a good night's sleep prior to an important long day which followed.
Except for the tweekers in the back yard all night, it was great.
The room accomodations were fine. Comty beds. The continenal breakfast was horrible! Waffle batter is of a cheap quality. Only 1 choice of yogurt: peaches, why not a choice, vanilla would have been nice. The apples hadn't been rotated. I found a large rotton spot!
The room had a constant wet floor. There was water that actually came out from under the transition strip, from tile to carpet. The staff acted as if this was a new problem, but by the condition of the bathroom it surely wasn't. The toilet was leveled by cardboard or paper. The staff didn't even bother to try to rectify the problems with the room. The hotel did have a nice view of the lake.
I arrived late and was greeted warmly and efficiently. Both the hotel and room were in very nice shape and seemingly well looked after. Everything was of good quality. Only negative was that the washroom was not cleaned totally. The tub area was seemingly missed and the last guests toiletries were still there.
Simple hotel with little in terms of amenities. Elevators and halls were extremely warm for the season. I understand it is important to keep costs down, but being miserable getting from your car to the room is a bit much. Way too much money for the room.
this is an old hotel that needs upgrading really bad. no attention to details & they don't really care. They all just say oh well. An example: no remote for TV in room. Called front desk & got a remote that was not compatible with TV. & they didn't seem to care. Oh well. For $200 a nite I expected more. Will never ever go back .... did I sat never .....
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Their continental breakfast was good. The location was really nice and overall a pleasant stay.
Hotel looks very nice. Great location if you stay during summer months being right on the water and the boat marina. Lounge and restaurant was great and cozy.
I can't believe anybody would stay here twice. The AC was really loud and I had trouble sleeping. The bar had a brand of wine that they really should not be serving. It was poured into a tiny little glass, cost $3 and tasted horrible. I would have preferred spending twice that amount on something reasonably palatable. Never again.
The complimentary breakfast that was included was great! Hot food and even make your own waffles!
