Somerset Inn

It was clean and across from the mall which was nice. No issues at all, just a little dated. Was fine though

This was a pleasant surprise. Great location and reasonable price. Staff was wonderful

Unfortunately this hotel did not meet the 4.1 rating stated. Although you were greeted promptly and courteously when arriving everything stopped there. The elevator had a weird smell - like being washed down with a dirty dishrag. The towels in the bathroom felt and looked like they were bought at a dollar store. You could only have the heat on or off. The amount of outlets was inadequate. The tv remote needed a new battery. Do not use the restaurant - steak was very subpar. I give this hotel a 3 at best.

Great staff. Nice room, good room service. Quite nice.

Elevators are super slow, but overall we had a really nice stay! I love the fact it was in walking distance to the mall. Clean rooms, comfy bed.

From the outside the hotel looks run down so I was already disappointed, but at we walked in it was beautiful ,the staff was nice as we checked in, we got on the elevator to go to our room, get off and it looked like we were in a totally different hotel, the ceilings were low, carpet was dirty and old, it had a bad odor, and looked as if they hadn't did any updates since the 90s. We paid for a king size room, but the bed was a queen and I know because I own a king, but the front desk staff wanted to argue with me.They have no amenities, no pool,no breakfast, they offered a business center that I went to use but it was an old big tan computer with no mouse.I wouldn't stay here if I was homeless... Horriiblllee! And expensive... Only good thing was that it's next door to the mall.. Don't stay here!

The staff was very friendly when we arrived, they were also very helpful with our needs (e.g. finding good food). The room was beautiful and clean. It was quiet in the halls, no issues.

This hotel is clean and convenient. I am happy with this hotel.

Stayed there for a night for business. Nice, clean hotel. Had a decent bar, which was open late.

This hotel is conveniently located if you are interested in visiting the Somerset Collection. There are many restaurants in the vicinity as well. The hotel is somewhat dated, but was satisfactory.

Only used the room to sleep for 8 hours than checked out. Comfortable for our needs.

The hotel worked for us because of its proximity to Birmingham where there is not much available. The location was perfect because of the easy routes to Birmingham, Royal Oak, Rochester and Detroit. There was a comfort to the room yet there was also some fraying along the edges and the bathroom could use some modernizations. Restaurant and room service was suprisingly good

The staff was excellent and the location is unbeatable.

Hotel has been redone! It's nice, modern, neat & stylish. Location is perfect. Directly next door to Somerset Collection (Detroit's best shopping mall). Easy access to everything. Just wish the beds were a bit more comfy!

THE ROOM AND PEOPLE WERE GREAT. THE PROBLEM WAS THE ROOM NEXT DOOR HAD 3 LITTLE KIDS THAT WERE UP UNTIL 11:30 HAVING A GOOD TIME(NO PROBLEM) BUT THE WALL WAS LIKE PAPER AND IT SOUNDED LIKE EVERYONE NEXT DOOR WAS IN OUR ROOM, I WAS AFRAID TO SAY ANYTHING TO MY WIFE SINCE I'M SURE THEY COULD HEAR EVERYTHING I SAID. ALSO THE TELEVISION WAS VERY DIFFICULT TO CONTROL. IT TOOK A COUPLE OF MINUTES JUST TO CHANGE THE CHANNEL. THE THIN WALL WAS THE MOST AGGRAVATING ALL NIGHT.

This hotel is located right next door to the Somerset collection, and is convenient for all locations in Troy, Royal Oak, etc. The room was very clean, staff was well-mannered, and room (w/ discount code) was under $100 a night. The bed was a bit firm, but that's likely just my personal preference. Overall a very functional, clean, nicely designed hotel that served its purpose very nicely.

Hotel was very clean and staff very friendly. Ample parking and the upscale shopping only a few footsteps away at Somerset Mall

The location is great, across from the very nice Somerset mall. The heater was noisy in the night. Good restaurants close.

Great location close too nice big mall and restaurants

i found this hotel very good, location was good and the staff were friendly

I'm sorry you were not pleased with your stay. This doesn't reflect our standards. The newly renovated rooms (the deluxe rooms on the first 2 floors) have additional outlets, and we are going through the towels in all rooms to get rid of any that are seeming worn.
