I don't know what it is about the Residence Inns, but they haven't been up to par the last several times I have stayed at one as far as cleanliness. I travel throughout the year for business and stay at a hotel for months at a time, so the cleanliness of a room is very important to me and I can immediately tell when I enter a room if housekeeping does a good job. I planned to stay here for a few months, but left after a couple of days. I found hairs in the bed and in a towel, housekeeping did an extremely poor job with the kitchen, pots had food debris in them, some burnt..drawers had food and dirt in them, utensils had dried food on them and the majority of them were dirty. The room looks pretty outdated and a bit cramped. Would otherwise be pretty clean if they took the time to really clean the kitchen. After spending hours doing my own personal cleaning of the kitchen and killing two bugs in the room, I decided to leave. Couch pillows and decorative bed pillow were also dirty and clearly weren't replaced from the last guest. I will note, the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. They did bring me new pots. Anyone looking for a cleaner, better housekeeping option may want to try the Staybridge Suites in the area instead.

My large family stayed here for New Years Eve and they let us set up some of the tables in the lobby for the food. It was fantastic to be able to all be together and celebrate without having to drive home afterwards! The front desk ladies were very accommodating and nice, and the manager was very pleasant as well. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the breakfast the next morning included all of the normal fare but included miso soup and kimchi! Having lived in Asia for a couple of years I was tickled to have a cup of soup along with my belgian waffle. The pool was great for the younger kids (including my two year old daughter) The only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is because the heat in our room didn't work very well for some reason and most of us were pretty cold during the night. Other than that the kitchen was awesome and the facilities nice and clean!

pleasantly surprised when we arrived that we had pretty much a full kitchen, including full sized fridge! Also, bedroom was in separated area for privacy, with nice pull out sofa in front room. Good location right across the street from entertainment, shops, mall, etc. Staff nice and helpful. Breakfast buffet better than average; they had some Asian breakfast (?) items, including rice and some sort of broth, as well as the normal eggs, sausage, fruit, etc.

We and our family members have stayed at this property for the last few years over the Thanksgiving holiday. The full kitchens and large suites as well as the location are the draw. Unfortunately, this year, we stayed for 3 nights underneath a room that was very loud at all hours of the night. After the second night, we stopped at the front desk in the morning and asked if the neighbors above were checking out. They assured us that the room would be vacant that night so we chose to stay the final night. Starting at 10 pm, there was so much activity in the room above from any location in our 2 bedroom suite that we contacted the front desk. While some level of noise is expected, our room was literally shaking. We were told that the issue would be handled. There were numerous phone calls until finally at 2:30 a.m. the guests were asked to leave. We then received a call from Samantha at the front desk who offered us a free night the following night. When we declined saying that we wanted to leave she offered us credit for our current night. We said that we also complained about the night before, she said she would offer us credit for the previous night as well. Since she offered us a full night comped, we assumed that meant that credit meant that the hotel would be covering the costs of our stay. She never mentioned a small financial credit. In the morning, our bill was credited $90, just $45 for each night, including one where we waited for 4 hours to the hotel to eject disruptive guests. She never once mentioned a "small" or "partial" credit. We had to negotiate for at least one awful night but not after she had to verify our discussion with Samantha the night before. The whole experience was tiresome. We were happy to pay for our stay but we do not believe that it is unreasonable to be compensated for so much disruption and over 4 hours to rectify the problem. We will not be returning to the hotel nor will our family members.

Stayed one night for Thanksgiving visit with family. Very clean hotel and the staff is great. Good location close to stores, restaurants, movie theater, family activity centers (go carts, bowling). This has always been one of our favorites in the area due to the staff. Unfortunately the pull out couch isn’t really meeting our needs anymore and 2 bedrooms were sold out.

Good service, big rooms, cooking facility , decent breakfast, got my Amezon order in time and was handled well. However lacks restaurant, it could be a concern in winter. But there is a mall at walking distance. Overall value for money

I recently organized a group of 17 event staff to stay at this property and wanted to leave a review since it was a great experience. Our group travels often and has pretty high standards for hotel properties. The front desk staff were really helpful and friendly every day. We were pleasantly surprised by the breakfast service - it was excellent and we really appreciate the hotel going above and beyond to accommodate our group over the weekend. Rooms were clean and spacious, lots of parking available and tons of nearby restaurants / things to do etc. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone visiting Novi! Thanks Residence Inn!

My review from September 2016 remains spot on a year later. Had a chance to stay at the hotel a few days ago, and it remains a very well-run facility with a great staff. It is certainly my go-to hotel when I'm in the Novi area!

I had checked in online the day before and was given the exact room that I selected on the 4th Floor at a fair distance from the elevator. Our check in was fast and simple and we were directed to park behind the building which meant a short walk with our bags to a back entrance and the elevators. The hotel was renovated a couple of years ago and it appeared to be well maintained. The little kitchenette appeared very usable with all the necessary appliances and kitchen tools- we did not used the kitchen. The view from the windows shows just a lot of trees and leaves and a fair bit of light is blocked off. The lounge and sofa bed side of the room was comfortable, but compact. Lighting was good. The bedroom felt tight for space with the Queen be in the middle of it all. Lighting in the separate vanity from the bathroom was very good. My wife does complain that the vanity was at least 6 inches too low, and puts a strain on her back as she bends over to wash and rinse her face. We did have a quiet night and slept well. The breakfast buffet offers one of the better selection and food choices amongst same level chain hotels. We also like the miso soup, rice, rice seasoning and pickles and the extra Green tea options available. It was an excellent hotel stay of some 13 hours.

I was at this hotel over the weekend checking out today 08/14/2017. The first day I was there i really did not have much interaction with the staff. My assent had checked me in for I was working. The following more when I came to the lobby for breakfast. I was greeted by the staff with a warm Hello. The breakfast its self was hot inviting and they had a great selection. As I am from Israel and hence eat Kosher, They had things there that I could even Partake in. To me it looked like they really took their guest cultures to heart and tried to provide them with something to eat. During my time eating breakfast I was tended to warmly. During this time I got a chance to speak to the Asst. General Manager at one point speaking to her for well over an hour, it felt like i was speaking to my sister. She was very open warm and welcoming. Well during this stay i was also looking for a hotel to host a few students that is part of our dive team to stay at. Well having stayed at several other hotels in the area this one is by far hands down the best. It is a gem that is well on its way to becoming a diamond. As I am a frequent travel back to the us several times a year this will be my home here in the US. I have never felt such warmth, openness and eagerness to help in all my travels over the past 10 years. So this is a shout out to this wonderful team and i look forward to seeing you guys in October. I also have to add this for Katie you have a wonderful team keep up the good work all of you. You have a life long guest in me.
