Not bad hotel to be a week or two in a business trip. Rooms has a little kitchen, good bed and a bathroom. Free breakfast to take away and free wifi. The receptionist workers are very kind and in general everything is clean.
We stayed here for my birthday celebration this past weekend. The area was lovely and accessible to shopping and nightclubs. The room was spacious, clean, and the hosts at the desk were pleasant and helpful. We enjoyed the amenities, and will be staying here again very soon.
My husband and I were in the area for a family wedding and booked this hotel through Priceline's Name Your Own Price. We got a great deal! We had just stayed at another Extended Stay outside of Grand Rapids the previous two nights, but this location was much better. The room was comfortable and well equipped. The lady who checked us in was helpful and friendly. I would stay here again if in the area.
Responsible guest with service dog kicked out of this facility -- stayed here before -- its the same -- Customer NO SERVICE. I am visually impaired disabled person with service dog who was kicked out of this extended stay for making one too many requests -- 1. having the stove fan and light work 2. telephone information card accessible, 3. information and instruction how to use the phone in the hotel (my cell phone died) 4. the dog next door to stop barking all day 5. how to navigate using the air conditioner (i am visually impaired and it is hard for me to read the buttons). In the handicap room, there are no tables or desks. According to the general manager there shall be NO such items allowed or provided in the room. PERIOD! There is only a small counter for wheelchair accessibility. the staff was put out by such requests. I was was offered the handicap room because I requested the first floor. In the handicap room there is no place to hang your clothes. I guess disabled people don't hang their clothes. There is one counter but no place to eat such as a table or desk. I guess disabled people don't eat either! The hotel did a bait and switch on the rate. The general manager told me because I complained about the "bait and switch" rate. I just moved in for an extended stay and have everything on the counter because I have no table. The management stated every room would be inspected twice for 15 minutes for "updates." I value my privacy and told management they do not have my permission to enter my room. Instead of the general manager offering a time that is convenient for me, she told me she had enough of my requests and stated I could not longer stay at this hotel. The final straw with the manager was I requested a desk/table to eat at -- called reasonable accommodation -- so I could use the of a table/desk to setup my laptop and scanner so I could scan documents and use a screen reader to read / listen to them. Using words like "please" and "thank you" are not recognized in this facility. There are NO shear curtains which is a problem if you are on the main floor. Everyone can peer into your room -- if the sun-block drapes are pulled, its dark as pitch on a sunny day. And the drapes have holes in them. Really? Skipping the shear curtains is a savings for the hotel; its cheap cheap cheap -- and they don't care as long they get their money UP FRONT! Customer NO service! Nice hotel, curt, lazy, unprofessonal staff. the general manager wields an iron hand; if you believe you are entitled to services and amenities you pay for in the hotel price. not according to the general manager and her staff. problems: rate bait & switch: reserved a room for 30+ days while waiting for a new house. i was quoted a monthly rate with a 7 day payment per 30 day increments. when i called to modify reservation, i was told there was a 3 day cancellation fee because i did not cancel or modify my reservation 24 after i made the initial reservation. worse i was told i had to pay $1500+ up front instead of the 7 day pay as you go plan. the confirmation states "if you're staying less than one week, we require advance payment of room and tax for the entire length of the stay at check-in. if you're staying longer than one week, we require only the advance payment for the first week of stay." paying $1500 up-front is/was a shocker i stayed here i 2013 and items such as dishes, eating utensils such as fork, spoon, and knife, a small coffee pot, basic items such as dish soap, dish towel, toilet paper -- items you pay for in the rate were not provided as advertised. when i asked at the desk, i was told "we're all out!" so, in 2016, i brought my own items listed above. the general manager absolutely refuses to treat guests with dignity and respect. her staff is afraid of her. i was told my stay here was going to be canceled the next day if i continued to make added requests such as a table or desk to setup my laptop and scanner. horrible horrible horrible experience! i give this place a -10. try to find another place to stay~ good luck!
The staff was awful and it was 92 degrees outside and the air was broken. The whole place smelt awful and I woke up to a guy right outside my window painting. Good thing I was not changing. Hotel really should train employees how to greet customers and maybe inform them if a strange guy is going to be staring at them thorough the window the next morning
The location was close to everything that I needed to get to. There is also a supermarket area close by to buy food for the room. A car is needed to get around, the area is very beautiful to site see.
This was my second stay. After a pleasant first stay I booked here expecting the same about this hotel of my first stay. Things that were disappointing 1) Bathroom floor still has hair of previous guests. 2) Mediocre breakfast - I appreciate the grab and go breakfast but all the apples were almost rotten and the coffee is cold.
Did I mention this hotel was clean? Friendly, front desk staff checked me in as best they could. I arrived at 1:00 and that is when the computers run their daily reports. Takes about 20 minutes or so. She was able to get me a room key and have me sign forms in the morning. I really liked the way the room was set-up. Instead of a straight room with a bathroom box in it this room well well set up. You enter in the kitchenette and can see a desk and living area beyond. The bed is actually around the corner and the bathroom is past the closet. The TV is on a swivel so it can be pointed at the couch or recliner or desk or even the bed. Neat. There were linens, blanket and extra pillow had the sleeper sofa been needed. And the place was clean.
On our way to our up north destination from Texas, we stayed in Novi for several days to see friends and doctors. Since we had a new pet with us, we were leery, but the staff made us quite comfortable, and Bruno loved the experience. The kitchen was very nice, and we dined in a couple of nights. All in all, a very satisfying experience.
What a nice surprise! Safe, clean, and very helpful and friendly front desk. Quiet, relaxing room. Even a continental breakfast with delicious coffee. Shopping and restaurants Are close by, too! I'll be back!
