DoubleTree by Hilton Detroit - Novi

3.5 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

I can't write a raving review because it was a typical stay at a Doubletree. Great service, clean, comfortable rooms and AMAZING cookies! :)

Great location for shopping in the Novi area. Nice hotel with good rooms and indoor pool.

It was easy and relaxing. Close to food. Easy to find and very clean

This was a real nice hotel. I would stay there again.

The staff was fine, but $9.95 a day for WiFi???? REALLY? No free breakfast, terrible location, no refrigerator in the room, seemed like a lot of money for stuff most less expensive hotels offer for free.

Were do I start? This Is a large hotel. We were there during Christmas weekend. Their we're not many people staying at this location. We were given a room at the very back of the complex. You had to buy a plane ticket just to get a coffe in the lobby. $9.95 a day if you would like to use the Wi-Fi. $11.00 each if you would like Breakfast. The bathroom door in our room(123) would not close. The heat unit was as loud as a model T and put out cool air, not warm. I was up all night and my wife was awakens by the noise on several occasions .I called the desk in the A.M. The fella said he would tell someone. Later that morning I spoke to a young lady who reluctantly had us move to another room (127). Getting any information from the staff was like pulling teeth. This hotel is hidden in a back corner of a mall on a dead end road with no signs t o give you any direction. We had to make several phone calls to find the facility.

Honestly, my wife and I both loved the bed and pillows. That was the first time that happened. The room was clean and the hotel was quiet. It sits just off the interstate in a nice area. We just slept and left, we didn't use any amenities. If in the area again we would stay there.

I flew in for a funeral. The staff was very helpful in locating addresses for me to put in my GPS. The room was very comfortable and had everything that I needed. The location was great being close to the expressways. I would diffinitely use the Doubletree hotel again. Oh! and of course the cookie was GREAT.

Only thing lacking is there is no elevator. Walk to second floor was ok for me but may be problem for elderly. WiFi in lobby is free but charge for service from room. TV channel selections limited.

very friendly staff. Clean and good coffee. Would have liked one bed which is what we booked.

Wonderful staff, clean rooms, great location, great price.

I only needed to attend a friend's wedding the next day so I didn't need much and I got it. However, there were some people being loud in an adjacent room and I heard them very clearly and missed a lot of sleep.

The bed gave me the best rest ever

nice hotel

All the staff was very attentive. Room was very neat and the bed incredibly comfortable. We visited the Detroit area and also crossed into Canada. We did plenty of walking and was very nice to come back to the pool and jacuzzi at the end of the day. Great concern on the part of the staff for guests safety during tornado warning. Fortunately, we only experienced a short storm with no major consequences. Quiet at all times even with the presence of many children. Nice Memorial Weekend break from our hectic job schedules. I would definitely stay in this hotel again and recommend it to friends and family. Too bad the pool was closed on Monday for cleaning, got a pass for the next door fitness club though.

We were greeted with a warm welcome (and cookies) and great customer service. Our room was spacious and comfortable. [...], the dining room waitress, was friendly and made us feel at home. Several family members joined us for memorial dinner for my sister and we were impressed with [...]'s thoughtfulness.

The hotl was fine. The room was clean, the "suite" configuration leaves he living area in complete darkness unless the bedroom blind is open. Can't do much about that. For us the location was perfect given our travel plans.

Noisy all night long....didn't sleep much....and the staff didn't seem to care when I complained about it. All they said was management took care of it. My question was..."when? There were other guests yelling, running, wrestling, throwing things, swearing and arguing in the hallways ALL night long from around 1am until 5am". Did they take care of it at 4:59? AFTER I didn't get any sleep and had to get up?

The hotel was perfectly fine for the purpose of my stay as I was there on business. The staff was friendly for the most part, and my room was very clean. I was disappointed that there were only about 20 TV channels to choose from. The hallways were also in need of updating. Not having an elevator was inconvenient for me because I was staying on the second floor. I also had a very hard time trying to print a document in the business center. Other than that, my stay was fine given the cost.

We have had much nicer stays at other hotels owned by this chain. The staff was polite and friendly, but this facility was a rated a 4 star and the it just didn't match the rating. At $75 a night this is a good place to stay at $125 a night we shouldn't hear the person in the next room sneeze and shouldn't be parking next to trash dumpsters where employees are smoking.
