The grounds were overgrown with weeds, paint chipped. Our room was missing a lightbulb in the lamp, the tv stand was falling apart and had a chunk of wood missing, hole in the bathroom ceiling tile. Overall very poor condition.
The rooms need updated. New paint, new beds, new hair dryers and towels. Everything was just old and worn. I asked for a late check out because I had a later flight and the desk clerk said yes but then in the morning, Room service knocked and when I said I will be another hour, she yelled through the door "Checkout is at 11:00!" I informed her that I had a late checkout but she seemed annoyed. Breakfast was watery eggs and runny waffle mix. There was only powder creamer for coffee. Overall, I think they charge plenty for the rooms, they can buy creamer and spend a little money for quality. It was fine for what I needed but they can do better.
Stood in the lobby for 15 minutes waiting for staff to show up to check people in. Mold in ceiling above shower. Very run down.
I ended up not going, but was unable to cancel my reservation. At 82 years of age, that didn't sit too well with me not being able to cancel at any time--
Pretty standard hotel, although you could see it needs some better small up keeps. Pool was closed for Covid although other hotels are open, makes me wonder if it’s just a reason not to maintain it. No breakfast at all due to covid again, they did have coffee but my gf didn’t drink it because it appeared to have things floating in it, when I poured it out there was a lot of coffee grounds in it. Got thirsty in the night and tried to use the vending machine, some how it took my 2$ but failed to dispense the soda, ended up driving to a near by gas station instead. The tv is shockingly bad with its connectivity, blinks in and out, and the volume will randomly stop working, didn’t really think that stop still happened with hotel TVs. Anyways if you just look to sleep and nothing else it’s okay otherwise you might want to look around a bit more.
Clean, up to date. Friendly staff. Convenient to highway, MacDonalds close, heating unit was a little noisy but not bad. Pool and hot tub were good, fridge in room

Loved the pool and hot tub, staff were friendly. Room appears clean however there was a fake fingernail in the drawer and a lollipop and pocket knife by the edge of the bed, so I question how clean the room really was.
Nice hotel, great location, accommodating staff. Air conditioner in room rattled and the sink faucet handle did not work properly, only suggestion to improve.
The room had 3 spiders in the bathroom and the chair cushions were full of hair and garbage.

Worst hotel ever!! Hot tub and sauna "out of order"?? The only reason I booked this hotel and OUT OF ORDER??!! No apologies from staff, but did give me a rude answer! I will never go there again. The pool was cold. The only good thing was the food in the morning.
We were 1 of 2 people staying in the hotel. They gave us a handicapped room, but Im not disabled. Handicapped shower had a bench that wouldn't move so you had about 2 feet sq to move around in the shower. no trashcan in room. no tea in room. Front desk was always unstaffed.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was nice and very clean. The free breakfast was good and included many options. The only negative...the pool was freezing. We wanted to take our kids swimming, but only lasted a few minutes because the water was so cold.

We had state notice on entrance and no other hotel in IOWA had pool open. We make fresh coffee every couple off hours. We will have our front desk look into it once again.
