Let me begin by saying the staff was very friendly. We were greeted promptly when we checked in.The hotel appeared to be an older hotel with some new paint and carpet in the hall. The room door was paper thin and you could hear people in the rooms talking while standing in the hall. The bathrooms were clean but needed renovating. The elevator was very slow. I felt like we paid way to much for this hotel. I was glad it was for only 1 night.
I am a member with Choice hotels so I have stayed at many Comfort Suites. This one is very average...maybe below average. The rooms are chopped up with no full length mirror for the wife. Very noisy air conditioner. Very poor water pressure. Average mattress...a little worn. The staff was very courteous and helpful and the hotel is clean. Good stop for one night while traveling but that's it.
I made a reservation for 6/4 for one night, one person, non-refundable. go and print out conformation and I am charged twice for the same room, because the booked it twice. I have spent 2 hours, and been run all around they reservation for Dalton and Choice reservations. I hope I can get someone later when I cool off.
Perfect stopping point on the way to SW Florida for folks in the Midwest. Pet friendly with decent restaurants all around. We have stayed here 6 times, 3 going to aflorida and 3 coming back. Looking forward to numbers 7 and 8.
Found out when when I checked in. Then she told me in another five minutes I would have had to pay for the room!! They know about the misinformation on TripAdvisor, but can't do anything about it!! Even though they have had to disappoint many travelers. Thank goodness it was early enough to find something else.
We really enjoyed staying at this place. It was very clean, comfortable & everyone was pleasant & accomodating. The room was nice size & bed very comfortable. Nice casual breakfast included. Recommend it highly. Secure parking from highway.
I understand it's the South in April and it's muggy, but it was muggier in the room than outside and that was with the air conditioning on. It didn't help that there was no way to turn on the exhaust vent in the bathroom so a hot shower no doubt exacerbated the issue. The room smelled musty and the sheets were damp with the humidity. Otherwise, the room and bathroom were clean. The other gripe my husband and I had is that the window was a bit flimsy and did nothing to block out noise from outside.
As a Diamond Member with well over sixty stays per year to date, and now on track for over one hundred stays, the Choice Hotels protocal requires Comfort Inn & Suites to present Diamond Members with a small welcome gift upon check in. This hotel failed to comply upon our check in and stated they don't do that. This is the second Hotel within the state of Georgia that ignores Choice's Rewards protocal for Diamond Members altogether. I am writing a separate review of the other Hotel as well. This breakdown in the Choice Rewards Program does not bode well for the company, and I can easily focus my dollars on the Mariott Rewards Program which I also belong to. On a positive note, the lady that checked us in was very pleasant and gave us a very nice upgraded room. Other incidental issues were the water pressure in the shower was low and the Hotel parking was tight but manageable. The taxes in Georgia are very high so expect to add at least 14.5% on top of you bill. Finally, the lady at the front desk was talking personal family matters (loudly) on the phone for fifteen minutes while I was waiting trying to wrap up our business before departing, while my wife and child were outside sitting in the car waiting. And....the toilet seat was very loose, which is always annoying when maintenance ignores the not so little things.
On our way to Florida this is a good place to stop. The staff was very friendly. Clean, updated room, good bed, updated hotel. They have breakfast, although I did not partake. Good prices too. Near restaurants.
Hotel was fine and breakfast was fine. What I would expect from hotel off the interstate for one night stay. Not sure I would have a new employee working alone on a Saturday night around spring break. My credit card was charged twice for the room and I have a fraudulent charge on their now as well, which makes me a little suspicious. Will probably choose a different hotel in Dalton on my next trip to Florida.
