Family Fun

Impressed with cleanliness of cabin. Roomy, much room to spread out. We enjoyed our stay, can’t wait to come back. The road to get to the cabin is not for the faint of heart! Great place.

Perfect for family

Great cabin! Very clean, which was very important with two infants. Stair gate make it a safe environment for babies. Wonderful porches with plenty of tables and chairs! Beds were comfy!

Annual girls’ trip!

Loved the cabin! Clean and cozy! Well stocked!!! We did have some trouble finding drivers…. Would recommend setting up drivers (if needed) prior to visiting! Hot tub was a great added touch! No complaints from these high maintenance ladies!!! 😀

Roomy with Great Views

With 9 people from 9 months to 74 years, we used every available space from bedrooms, bathrooms, porches, and kitchen. Because we picked up two teens from Camp Glisson, we were happy to have great laundry facilities (we brought our own detergent and dryer sheets). It rained almost the whole weekend but we were able to tour Consolidated Gold Mine and see Amicalola Falls during a break in the weather. We watched a little TV but mostly played games on the screened-in porch. We cooked breakfast every morning, ate lunch in Dahlonega, and swapped leftovers for suppers. The road into the cabin was a little tricky in the pouring rain, but we loved the remote privacy. I would definitely stay there again.

Great Cabin!

Really enjoyed our time at the cabin. Clean, roomy (needs an extra sofa in the living room. Not enough seating for 8 people - only drawback), had eveything we needed! Great area, close to wineries and brewery.

This home was absolutely perfect for our long weekend. The house was immaculate and well stocked. There was plenty of room for everyone. Our favorite place was spending time on the screened porch. We would definitely recommend this property and although the location was a bit remote, would return again! Thank you.

First log Cabin Experience

This cabin was amazing. Very spacious and in a quite mountain. This cabin has everything you need. Close to so many cool little towns. The roads are a little narrow but are paved roads. The neighbors are super friendly. What a great place to spend a vacation getaway...

Dahlonega Wedding Trip

Our family and dog stayed at Poppy's Place for 2 nights while celebrating our son's wedding at Montaluce Winery. This great cabin offered us 4 br and was dog friendly. This would be a great lodge for a fall or winter escape. We were very pleased.

Beautiful!

This was truly a retreat. It is a single road into the property once through the gates. The home sits on a hill above a pond. The porch is fantastic as is the hot tub. We quite enjoyed the ability to drive in, sit down, and chill. The interior is absolutely beautiful. I love the wood everywhere and the 2 of 3 fireplaces are gas and add such tremendous ambiance. Highly recommend.
