Bad food, no quality in the food and no spices. slow workings waiters and bartenders and they clearly pick their favourite costumers and give them "good"/normal service, if you are not one of them, then your time at the hotel is awful. The pool is really bad, small and gets too deep, so 80 % of the pool isunusable for most people.. I have travelled a lot and I would rather stay in a 5 dollars HOSTEL in Vietnam than this "Hotel". You pay to much and gets nothing back.
Excellent short break, staff all very friendly and efficient, food was supered and plenty of it. Facilities very good ( indoor pool, sauna’s & jacuzzi) out door pool a bit to chilly to use, but looked fantastic for a summer break. Otherwise could not fault the place
We found reception staff friendly attentive and informative unlike some reviewers comments.nice size room very clean, large comfortable beds towels changed as&when required. Food was typical all inclusive, varied selection of dishes some not as hot as they should be, but overall satisfied with the food on offer. most of the waiting staff were friendly and helpful biggest problem was ridiculous queuing to get into the restaurant there is a system where guests are allocated first or second sitting, however some guests seemed to go whenever they wanted. the Bar area is not big enough for an hotel of this size I imagine it would be awful in the busier periods.. all inclusive guests are allocated a 1 mitre section of bar to be served with a 2 drinks per person rule depending who you are, some guests from France and Belgium would demand and get more. other guests had 7 or 8 mitres of bar to be served and were given priority. queuing was inevitable, the majority of bar staff were very friendly and efficient and worked very hard. The pool area is definitely not big enough for an hotel with this capacity during our stay we only saw tables and chairs around the pool sun loungers were stacked in a corner. If you wanted to use a sun lounger they were on the roof terrace ( no bar) and you were not allowed to take drinks from the bar there. The lifts are inadequate in size and number for an hotel of this size, we were on the 6th floor and it was often quicker to use the stairs. Other reviewers have complained about coach drivers not dropping them off near the hotel, its not possible for coaches to get nearer to the hotel than the seafront this should be considered when booking your airport transfers.
Thoroughly we enjoyed our stay at Alba Seleqtta! Service was excellent! Rooms are nice and clean, homely decor. The hotel is located in the heart of everything; it is in close proximity to the beach and shops, just a short walk down the street. Being able to make use of the pool and spa facilities is a great bonus. It had a nice little pool outside with tables and chairs and sun loungers over 4 stage terrace. The bar is a great place to start or finish your evening. We had evening drinks in the bar that has a lovely atmosphere and wonderful entertainment. With standard selection of drinks and cocktails you can’t go wrong. Bar staff were superb, always positive and happy to help, go above and beyond! Overall, we had a brilliant stay here, of which best of all was the customer service. Thank you for the excellent hospitality!
Very good location so close to the sea and the town. Very helpful and gracious staff. Good fun entertainment and wonderful food in the restaurant with very good service. Clean and spacious rooms. Only problem was ours was a bit close to the noise of the bar! The only disappointment was the spa. There was no one to control the kids coming in and splashing around in the pool. In our opinion, the spa should be an adult-only area with a member of staff on to control the entrance.
Just got back from a short 5 day break from here in late sept which is out of season a little so prob a bit quieter than normal So the good parts I found Hotel is very clean and well maintained I thought the all the food was very good with lots of options for all inclusive To consider Lot of reviews mention lifts and pools are too small, they are a little small but as we went out of season it wasn’t really a problem for us, I can imagine in busy season being a problem. All inclusive drinks, you are only allowed 1 drink at a time per person, some of the staff will give you 2, the glasses are small so if you fancy a good few drinks be prepared to go to the bar often. Sunbathing by the pool, there is some beds around pool area but also a few trees around which block the sun, they do have a sun terrace on the rooftop of floor 6 with more beds, but it’s a mission to take drinks from the bar downstairs up there, and also I don’t think your supposed to. From the airport it’s a long 3 hours shuttle bus and a small 5-10 walk from the bus stop up a very steep hill Some of the staff were not friendly or welcoming. Other things to consider There’s not much to do in Lloret Shops are all the same selling rip off tshirts and junk Beach is no sand just small stones So overall I don’t think I’d go back there cause of the area but also I wouldn’t say the hotel itself is bad and don’t be put off by going
Stayed at this resort for a long weekend, we arrived late Friday evening and was pleasantly surprised to find not only had we been upgraded to a superior room but that they had also made sure we had something to eat and drink. In the morning after our arrival we went to breakfast naturally as we had booked on a full board basis, breakfast was pleasant enough plenty of variety although food could have been a little hotter in my opinion. We then decided to venture out and the staff were most helpful with marking a few local sites for us to visit which was great. We got back from our outing and we were oh so thirsty and in need of a refreshment and so headed to the bar for a drink, as when we booked through Expedia they advised that full board included drinks too only to find to my huge disappointment that drinks were not part of this package, a little bit of mis selling from Expedia there! This was of course not the hotels fault so I was still happy enough after that point as we just proceeded to get our refreshments all be it at an additional unexpected cost. The reception staff are warm welcoming and friendly enough however it may be because I'm a Brit but I did find it a tad rude when they are dealing with you and decide to also deal with someone else's query at the same time because they speak the native tongue. It's not a major issue it just makes the customer experience a bit longer than it needs to be. The spa facilities are in need of a bit of tlc, the spa area was not very serene but it was useable I guess however with there being a small indoor pool it was overrun with noisy kids, there are no locker facilities to place your items so you just have to leave them in a place and hope to come back to find them, there were also small children running up to the steam and sauna area opening the door while of course you are trying to get a bit or r&r and peace and quiet too. The games room was cool had a small mixture of different bits and bobs for children that need that bit of extra entertainment. I found that the animation team and entertainment that was laid on was far too loud as being on the 9th floor it felt as if we were at the entertainment which on my last night when I'd hoped to get a good nights rest unfortunately didn't go to plan, this is a slight downside to this hotel. We were on 9th floor, superior room upgrade room with a view overlooking sea which was a lovely sight to wake up to each morning but at night if you're not absolutely worn out from the day's activities, you may have problems nodding off. I found that the food at the resort was plentiful with a large choice of different foods but was a bit hit and miss. An example of this is the ice cream which is more of a sweet, but still it was cheap and tasteless, the so called juice at breakfast time tastes like concentrated dilute poured into jugs not nice at all and not good for E numbers either I should imagine, the cakes were mostly very tasteless too but edible I guess if you're hungry enough. God forbid if you order drinks under €10 euros in the restaurant it was very frowned upon as I found which was a tad uncomfortable as I didn't know there were any specific payment T&C's as my drinks bill only came to a meager €4.20 for a coke and bottle of water or at least thats how I felt when I said I had no cash only a card to pay with but for sure they took the payment anyway. At the hotel if you wish to hire beach towels they take a €10 refundable deposit for this service so I didn't bother as the plan was more to sight see than sunbathe. Also on the beach too they charge €7 to use one of their sun-loungers which is a bit of a joke. The beach looks nice and clean but is more of a gravelly type of beach so in my opinion not a barefoot beach or really one to sit and enjoy the sand unless you enjoy gravel. Lloret de Mar has tons to offer if you are looking for an easy going holiday with local attractions or sites nearby and if you enjoy a bit of retail therapy too. There are countless food outlets to choose from all very reasonably priced and if you love gelato this is definitely the place to be. All in all I did enjoy my Friday to Monday stay but as with everything there are a few bits this place could improve on to make it a 5* review.
We stayed here in October 2017 for 5days all inclusive, the Hotel was amazing! The location was excellent, only 2mins from the beach. The food was fantastic, such a brilliant variety to suit all tastes. The rooms was very spacious and immaculately clean! The entertainment was incredible, the animation team were fantastic! The hotel itself was stunning, one of the nicest hotels we have visited. All of the staff at the hotel were pleasant and always happy to help. Overall we had an amazing holiday and the hotel was the highlight! 😀
Room was good clean, and was tidied every day.all inclusive no, We had to pay for water, there was a lock on fridge ,three euros a day ,you had to pay for the safe. Poolside snacks all we saw were donuts and bowls of crisps. Only two drinks at a time in the most awful hard plastic glass. One of our group tipped the bar staff so her measures were great the rest of us no.Now for the food, it was never hot ,very little choice but if you enjoy veal your okay every day it was veal not a lot of vegetables, one evening the only vegatable were carrots and they were cold .once the food started to dissapere it was nor replaced. Breakfast was passable, choice of white or brown sliced bread, and white bread rolls, very poor.we were there for four days we ate out two evenings, and lunch times.i asked one of the staff to cut some more of the two roast that were avable he was scrubbing some racks with gloves on he did not remove the gloves and continue to slice the meat with soapy gloves I felt sick. One other removed a chicken piece with his bare hands broke the wing off and just put it back ready to serve discusting in my opuion.Very poor food ,this is not a four star it needs reviewing
Stayed in a superior double room all inclusive for 4 nights. Staff were great throughout hotel. Really enjoyed the food and drink choices. The spa facilities were great too. Will hopefully be back for longer next year to this lovely hotel.
