We stopped here on the drive back on I-70--I'd stayed in this area before, at different hotels in the area, but this was our first time at the Fairfield. It was pretty good for the price--the biggest plus is the smiling and welcoming staff at the front desk, and the person in charge of the breakfast was very nice. (The omelettes at the breakfast station were a nice surprise too.) There are a number of restaurant options in the area too, several of them open 24 hours a day, so it's definitely a good place to stop, rest up, gas up, and get going again in the morning.

I stay at Marriott properties a lot (Platinum member) this place is far from what I am used to. The outside looks newly painted and the staff was very nice but the rooms and the lobby are worn and very dated. There are other options in the area I will be exploring next time.

This motel doesn't meet Marriott standards. The furnishings are modern and the rooms are up to date, but overall it is not kept as clean as it should be. There was trash in the elevator floor and it was obvious the bathroom floor had not been properly mopped nor had the carpets been well vacuumed.

overall this hotel was an above average stay. there wasn't anything wrong with it but it just wasn't excellent. the breakfast was ok, the rooms were clean and nice. the pool and hot tub were nice. the staff was very kind.

First off, I love the Marriott brands so when I booked this hotel I knew I would have a good stay. The beds are always comfortable and staff always go above and beyond. That being said this hotel had alot more to offer. The location was great as there as restaurants extremely close including a Cracker Barrel and White Castle. It also comes with a full breakfast. They had sausage, eggs, waffles and so much more. Everything tasted good and was seasoned which is hard to get at many hotel breakfasts. So the next time I'm in Columbia I know where I am staying and hope that the person reading this review does too

Stayed here one night and had a good all around experience. Location is convenient to highways. Check in was quick and efficient; staff were friendly. My room was typical Fairfield - nothing special, but clean, comfortable and quiet. No complaints.

Hotel is conveniently located near a highway but it was not noisy. Since we planned not to be in room very much, my wife and I chose a single queen bed room with no kitchenette or separate sitting area. Everything was in good shape and very clean. Bathroom was a comfortable size and easy to move around in. (Could have used another clothes hook.) Bed was comfortable. A breakfast was provided and it was the standard fare (eggs, sausage, waffles, oatmeal, fruit, etc.) It was well stocked. When being assigned a room, we were told of a couple of rooms and one was near the elevator on the second floor. We took that one, however, upon reflection, would suggest not taking a room next to the elevator. It was not overly loud but definitely could be heard.

I had a long, stressful and eventful day by the time I got to the hotel around 9 PM last week. Logan was working the desk and took care of me. He made me feel at home. The rooms are nice and spacious and the only reason I wouldn't given them 5 stars is my room had some highly visible worn and wear signs: broken shade pull, worn furniture and a thermostat which seemed 'possessed'. It is a good choice on a quiet end of Clark Street.

I stayed here because the price was very reasonable and I was billing back to a client. The location was also exactly what I was looking for. I am a platinum Marriott member and stay in hotels over 100 times a year, so I have seen my fair share. My room in this one was a bit on the tattered side. The room was clean and well appointed but the couch had rips and a hole in it and the sitting bench was all marked up with something (not sure what). Generally not what I expect from Marriott. The breakfast was also very mediocre, the eggs were not the best quality. Other than that, the service team was friendly and the fitness room had what I needed (free weights).

Most Fairfield's are the same; once they get some age on them the rooms begin to fall apart. It wasn't bad but the towels are low-budget and the carpet needs replacing. If you are mildly picky about your hotels, then I'd suggest staying at the SpringHill across the street.
