Thank u for the VIP benefits. Got a 2bedroom upgrade and enjoyed the valet parking discount. The surrounding area at the GoldCoast Chicago was perfect -close to activities downtown Chicago. Breakfast choices were good. Sundry was convenient. Personnel were friendly, efficient and informative. Coffee, tea and hot chocolate 24/7 was wonderful bonus by the hotel entrance. We will be encouraging others to stay at Sonesta’s for restful lodging. Beds were comfy, the kitchen had things needed!

This was my first time staying at this property in Chicago, and I booked a 1-bedroom suite for my mother’s birthday $1,300 for 3 nights. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. The hotel itself is not worth the price you’re truly paying for the location only. Although it’s been recently renovated, the updates make it feel more like a remodeled motel than a high-end hotel. My bathroom was dirty upon arrival, and when I went downstairs to request a room change, I was told the hotel was fully booked. They offered to send someone to clean it right away but no one ever showed up. Breakfast was extremely basic: eggs, bacon (or sausage on some days), potatoes, bagels, toast, cereal, and yogurt. For the price, I expected a much higher quality experience and variety. While the hotel staff was friendly, that was really the only positive part of my stay. I’m very disappointed that I paid so much for what felt like a 2–3 star hotel experience

The Sonesta was quiet and clean. Great for us just needed a place to sleep after being on the go all day. The only thing I would say made it not perfect was the elevators.They was only room for 4 comfortably. Staff was nice and helpful.

Very good location. Room are great! Billing is unclear and they said they cannot let you know what was charged to your credit card- an email will come hours later. Never received it. No one to talk to regarding charges they put on your credit card that they take for a deposit. Be careful.

We loved that we we had 2 separate bedrooms for everyone in our group in one hotel room. And all for a reasonable price. Breakfast was very good. Great extra perk! Great location.

Great room w/kitchen and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast provided was ok, but the people working in the kitchen were great! Jamall at the front desk was super helpful as were the valet guys. The patio was nice to enjoy some fresh air before closing out our day. Location is great...very convenient to walk to the Lakeshore Trail and the beaches.
