My husband and I have one 13yr old, so we love getting suites so our son has his own room with a tv. We also like a full sized fridge, so we can bring our leftovers back and enjoy them again. Kitchen has everything you need. The room was perfect! The hotel staff was amazing and even helped us book a river cruise. The location of the hotel worked out great. We walked to most of the attractions and I liked that the hotel was on a quiet street.

Fast and easy checkin and checkout with Kate at the front desk. We used valet parking service and Pablo did a great job. The continental breakfast was some of the best choices we've ever had. We had a two bedroom suite which was perfect for a family. The hotel staff is very pleasant and helpful. This hotel is on a fairly quiet street which is nice. We could hardly hear any outside noise. This is a great place to stay when you're in Chicago.

I got a great rate through Orbitz, book hotel & flight, so I did not expect this to be such a lovely place to stay. Wish I was spending more than one night.

The room was comfortable as expected; valet and front desk staff very professional and helpful.

In fairness the hotel was under renovation during my visit otherwise I may have been able to rate it higher

My husband frequently stays at Residence Inn's during his travels. We chose our week-long stay at this hotel because of the standards that go along with the name, and this hotel did not represent Residence Inn well. The breakfast room was under-construction so we received a daily fast-food style breakfast that was left in a bag on our door each morning. This was incredibly disappointing not only because it lacked variety, but also freshness. The elevator was also under construction and the service elevator was not reliable (multiple guests got stuck in it during our stay). The room was a suite, but again it was disappointing because the bathroom was in the main living room, not attached to the bedroom and we were traveling with our 8-month old baby so this made it inconvenient to use the bathroom after she went to bed.

Great location great stay will be back next time in town

Great location near the lake and Michigan avenue. Was easy to meet friends for dinner and theatre.

Selected this hotel for marriott name - 2 blocks below Michigan avenue okay location. Staff wasn't overly friendly.

Very clean and spacious studio style room. Kitchenette area is great. Lots of restaurants and stores nearby.

Very clean, comfortable room, kitchenette is great if you don't want to spend much on eating out.

This hotel sits on a quiet side street off of Michigan Avenue; and on the opposite direction is a great view of Lake Michigan. Huge lobby with a good hot breakfast with many selections. Our room was quiet and the bed was comfortable and the room clean. The staff was helpful. We had no complaints. I would stay here again.

Room was clean but no updates. Staff is great. Had fridge so this is a nice bonus. If you need a inexpensive night stay for several people then this would be good for you.

the situation has been rectified, one should closely watch charges at this location. Even though prepaid, charges were entered on our credit card upon arrival. The clerk even mentioned that it was prepaid at that time.

The hotel was good enough, but not great. The impression I got was that it was originally a sort of junkie hotel that was probably recently renovated. They did a decent job renovating, but it still sort of felt like it was a pretty cover put over cheap walls/structure/etc... I only state this because the price was fairly high (though I do not often stay in big city hotels, and maybe this was just run-of-the-mill). For the price I paid, I probably could have gotten a higher quality hotel.

I was pleasantly surprised by how spacious the room was and how very quiet the room/hotel were. Loved the location! Breakfast is included which is a bonus! Would definitely return to this hotel.

Review title really says it all. The only downside is the daily AM buffet breakfast is only just decent but not great -- but hey, it's included in the price so no real complaint.

Took my son to Chicago for a quick getaway weekend. The suite worked perfectly giving him a living room area while mom had the large, separate bedroom. Nice to have TV's in both areas. Brought in a sofa bed which worked well. Having a kitchen was a bonus--gave us a chance to eat great leftover deep dish pizza. There is also a nice little grocery store just a half a block away, tucked away down the street, down a flight of stairs. Will definitely stay here again.

Super friendly staff. Amazing location. Oh yea and did I mention the apartment style suite?! Full fridge, stove breakfast nook and living room. Great place for a Chicago weekend getaway!

Went to Chicago for a conference. This hotel was affordable, close enough to the other conference hotels that I never felt like I was disconnected from the action, and in a nice area. The room was great, but the cleaning staff had clearly done the minimum when cleaning my room before I checked in (the previous guest's trash was still in the kitchen garbage can and the counter was oddly sticky) but other than that the room and the hotel's amenities were great. And really, this hotel is all about the location, but the kitchen was a great way to save a bit of money on eating out.
