We were welcomed with an early check in, no questions asked! Our room was gorgeous with a great view. Our only complaint was the fire station which is very active during the night. Great location with walking distance to everything, even with a 6 year old.

I booked this hotel 1.5 hours before arrival. Danielle had us checked in very quickly and gave us complimentary bags of popcorn-nice touch. I was going to self park (to save money). Directions were already printed off and handed to me. I went out to the car and told my mom we were self parking. She was not having any part of that. I unloaded the car while my mom went in to find out what needed to be done for Valet. My mom said as soon as she approached Danielle, she had a most warming smile and asked my mom if I had changed my mind about valet. Beds and water pressure were decent, room was spacious and very clean and faced the fire department but that was not an issue. Breakfast was very filling, well stocked(non packaged oatmeal with all the fixings, bagels, bread, English muffins, fresh fruit, cereals, yogurts, homemade waffles, eggs, sausage, coffee, juice, milk) and has a large amount of seating and outlets. Javier was well accommodating and made sure everything at breakfast was perfect. We checked out at 10:30 with Stephanie and she held our bags until we left at 3:00PM. All of the valet staff were courteous and helpful.

It was exactly what I needed for a one night stay in chicago over the weekend with cokme friends. We split the room together. The valet parking was a nice touch. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and prompt to get us set up with our room. The location was a convenient, short drive away from anything in downtown Chicago. The breakfast wasn't 5 star by any means but it hit the spot and got us going the nec t day.

Very accommodating and having the breakfast included was a real budget helper. The breakfast staff could not do enough to insure you enjoyed the meal. The other hotel staff was just as friendly and accommodating. A great place to stay. The only issue, which was not that bad, is the hotel is centrally located but across the street from the fire department.

Our family of four stayed in a double queen room for five nights in late May 2017. Most of the rooms only have a shower, but the double queens have a bathtub too, which was handy for bathing kids. Unfortunately, the sink was very high and our younger child could barely reach the tap. The bathroom lighting was also rather dim, and as the above-sink mirror was set quite far back, it made it difficult to see to do things like apply make-up. The bathroom was fairly spacious for a chain hotel though. Breakfast is included at this hotel, unlike most downtown hotels, which is a real time and money saver. The breakfast offerings are fairly standard. There is also a restaurant called Beatrix around the corner that does a good breakfast/brunch every day. In fact, the hotel is surrounded by eateries. We enjoyed Xoco (literally across the street) and Cantina Laredo (one block away). It's a short walk to the Grand train station on the Red Line, and maybe a 10-minute walk to Clark/Lake on the Blue Line for access to the train to O'Hare. Also just a block from the 156 bus line which goes direct to the zoo and the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum, both great for families. The room was fine. We had one at the front of the hotel on the 9th floor that had great views of nearby skyscrapers, such as the Trump Tower, although it did also overlook the fire station, which was a bit noisy. Overall, a pleasant, good value, stay - recommended!

Great hotel to be close to everything, you can walk to navy pier, to magnificent mile, it is really close.

Very friendly staff! Wonderful location! Parking is spendy but valet was great!

Will not stay downtown again. Parking is overpriced. Better to stay in the suburbs. When needed drive into the city. Too much traffic downtown.

We really enjoyed our stay! All of the staff was always friendly and helpful with suggestions and directions. Breakfast was great and the staff in the breakfast room was always friendly, and became friends as our stay went on. Everything was just remodeled and looked good. The room was a little small but had a roomy feel. All the furniture was new and modern. the bathroom was just redone and looked nice with a shower with doors and not a tub. Could have used a bit more water pressure, but not too bad. Bed was comfy with nice pillows and sheets. All considered I'd give it a 9.5 out of 10.

Somehow there was a mixup in our reservation and we found ourselves without a room. The staff were very vigilant that we get a new reservation at another hotel. I particularly give a five to Brett for his excellent service. Way to go. Because of his professionalism, I will return to the Fairfield in spite of the mix-up that we had.

Quiet with a nice view but bathroom lock broken, bad wifi

We had a very pleasant experience here !!! Front desk staff VERY friendly and welcoming !! Free breakfast was great !! Bed very comfortable!! I would stay again for sure!!!

Made my reservation the same day as our stay so we could stay in the city for a Christmas party. The staff that checked us in was friendly and even gave us a little sweet treat. Our room was fresh and clean and the bed was really comfortable. We grabbed some oatmeal and eggs in the morning and left happy guests.

Friendly staff , breakfast good, clean , and well stocked always by very nice staff. Would highly recommend . Great location.

Nothing against the hotel ... We had a change of plans and never stayed there. But Orbitz provided no way to cancel the reservation we made through them, so I called the hotel directly and canceled. Yet Orbitz still had our reservation in their system, and in fact sent me this invitation to provide a review of our "stay" there.

Very clean and comfortable, friendly and helpful staff, great location to walk to shopping and dining.

Good location. Great nearby restaurants. Awesome staff. Friendly, informative and very helpful. Will definitely stay here again as long as rate stays competitive. Extremely clean. Room good size and large bathroom. Excellent breakfast and staff in the breakfast room.

Really friendly staff, delicious breakfast, close to downtown

The hotel was everything that we were looking for. It was centrally located, accommodations were excellent. Overall it was a very good experience.

We did a one-night stay with our daughter to do some sights in Chicago. This hotel was within walking distance to a ton of great places to eat and a mile walk from Navy Pier. The staff was amazing, learning as much about us as possible in the 24 hours we were there. By the end, they greeted us by name. Breakfast was delicious and a great value. Everything was clean and new, from the lobby up to the rooms. One fun bonus for a small child is that this is directly across the street from a fire station. The really nice firemen invited her to come and look at the trucks, sit on the seat, etc. Very fun, free little adventure for the little ones. I will stay here again, for sure.
