Arrived early but our room was available and we were allowed to check in & we were given one of the newly renovated rooms overlooking the back car park (never full but they charge). Although the hotel was very full for the IAAF championships our room was very quiet, breakfast was very busy but as it's all self service, even the coffee no moans about service at all. Hadn't stayed here for a few years so the area has changed a lot but still no nearby restaurants. However it's about a 5 minute walk to Canning Town bus/tube station where the DLR & Jubilee lines meet so easy to get into or out of London. Only 2 stops to Stratford & the London Stadium.
Room, as usual at Holiday Inns very clean and comfortable. Great bedding, choice of pillows, tea & Coffee, kettle. Good shower 🚿 n bathroom,no baths here, and separated toilet. Staff excellent. Very good choices at breakfast which is included in price. A ten minute walk from Canning Town DLR,Tube and bus station. Get any of these back to Stratford International station, walk through Westfield shopping Mall and your ten minutes from main entrance to Queen Elizabeth Park & Stadium. Perfect!
Stayed here for 4 nights to see the world athletics championships as very convenient for the stadium at Stratford. This hotel is in Canning Town whatever else it claims and very close to the transport hub so easy to get to. It has a car park at £10 a night - I always object to paying extra for car parking. It is a standard Hoiday Inn Express so you know what you are getting. The hotel could do with some TLC - scuffed walls and damaged lampshades but the rooms are a good size. The hotel, was very full so a bun fight at breakfast - people also going to the athletics. Helpful staff. I have to say despite having booked and paid In advance it was expensive given a budget hotel chain.
We recently stayed at Holiday Inn Express Docklands for a week. Great location close to London City Airport, Tube, DLR and buses. Large comfortable rooms with good air-conditioning. Very good buffet breakfast. Pleasant and efficient staff.
Stayed here because it's close to queen Elizabeth park where we were going to see Robbie Williams station near is prince regent and a short tube ride to the venu. Hotel is fairly new lovely and clean next to London airport but the plain noise doesn't bother me, there were 3 of us in one room it was very cramped but we all had a good nights sleep. Breakfast was good.
Stayed last week at this hotel for 4 nights, room was very clean and the free breakfast was very good. The staff were all lovely, especially Paula, who went out of her way to chat and offer any advice she could . Very appreciated
A good hotel located to access Tube/Buses easily as Transport Hub is across the road. Offers basic clean accommodation, bar, breakfast and reception what more do you need, Restaurants and shops nearby
Stayed here for a visit into London for a few days and am a bit surprised at the poor reviews. It may not be bright and airy but it basically does the job. Room was clean and a decent size. Aircon worked fine, wife said the wifi was fine too. The staff were helpful and the breakfast was plentiful. (I recommend the beans!) Also, it's close to Canning Town tube station so was a perfect base for trips into London.
Service was terrible! Air con in the room was not working properly but they flatly refused to change our rooms despite our many requests. The following day, when we strongly insisted, they finally agreed. My daughte's stuffed elephant also disappeared after Housekeeping cleaned our room. We reported this but they dismissed it casually saying that nobody would want to steal a toy. We mentioned that it may not have been a case of theft but carelessness. They said they would check but no one bothered getting back to us. There was no apology either. We are never going back there!
Currently staying at this hotel, great location for the station at Canning Town but to be honest it has very little else going for it. Breakfast is included in the room price but to its terrible, the only thing they don't ruin is toast, so 2 rounds of toast it was. 1 night to go but we won't do breakfast again, we will pick something up once we've checked out. 3rd floor room is clean, decent bathroom too, very noisy with a busy main road outside, good views of the o2 and cable car which we went on today, definitely worth going on for the tremendous views. Wouldn't stay here again but it's served a purpose just for the ease of getting to Stratford.
