Our room on floor one was tiny. No room for baggage; no surfaces for Laying things down.

People at the hotel were fantastic. Any questions you had, the concierge was right there helping you

Wonderful room with odd lighting controls. There were master buttons for entire sections of lights, no individual controls, which made the lighting situation a little frustrating, especially when having to reach around to the nearly unreachable wall behind and to the left or right of the bed to turn off the lamp sitting next to you on the bed stand (both lamps, actually; you cant turn on just one at a time). Had an "interior" view which included a black electrical cord draped horizontally across the window. Such a small thing to fix, which, with the curtains open, gave an otherwise fairly luxurious the room a down market, shoddy feel (that and the water stains on the wood table tops. Cover those surfaces with glass, why don't you?) But the room was otherwise extremely comfortable and clean. Loved the big leather reclining chairs.

This hotel had a fantastic location. It was a 3 minutes walk from the Embankment station. 20 -30 minutes walk from Buckingham, British museum, Oxford st...etc. Right outside the hotel there were 2 stands of Santandar bicycles, which are great value and help you to go anywhere you want. We arrived late around 1030pm, doorman was still out, receptionist was very polite. Up into our room, first surprise was the bathroom. TV in the bathroom! Heated floor and heated towel rack! This is like from the future. All room lights can be dimmed or switched off by touch of a button. Do-not-disturb was done by pressing a button inside. EVERYTHING was great until we slept.... For 4 nights in a roll we have been waking up every 1 to 2 hours because of the bed. The bed was comfortable to lay on, but we just couldn't get a good night sleep. We thought we might get used to it but we did not. Oh and mini-bar was included, not sure because of Christmas or some other reason. We also got a little plate of deserts on Christmas eve.

The staff was quite helpful, and the location couldn't be better. I would recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to explore central London. Close to the Imperial War Museum, and easy access to the River.

Beautiful hotel in a very convenient, central location.

Nice location - walking distance to almost anything. Staff was not friendly or helpful. Rooms are dated.

Staff and hotel was excellent. Ive been blown away by the experience i had with the staff and accomodation even if i stayed for only one night. Also it is located in the heart of everything. Everything is walking distance and Big Ben is just around the corner.

They gave my room to someone else. I paid a very high room rate through Orbitz (727-15555-18884) and was supposed to receive an Executive Room with a City View of London. I got neither when I checked in. They put me in a small room under construction (Room 804) without informing me it wasn't an Executive Room. There were two holes in the wall, there was no air conditioning, on the floor there was a sharp screw I could have stepped on and the TV didn't work. I immediately went down to reception and complained. The next room they put me in (Room 802) was even smaller and also under construction. It had wires hanging from the ceiling. There was no air conditioning. The view from my window was facing inward at other hotel windows. The acting manager extended me free breakfast for two days and dinner the next day. The hotel had no other rooms so that is the room I slept in. The next morning, I discovered the soap was used by the prior occupant of the room (or possibly one of the construction workers). In the morning, the general manager called me to apologize. I was moved to the very large Victoria Suite (Room 914) with a wonderful view of The Thames, Westminster Bridge, the City Building, and the 'Eye of London' among others. The Suite had everything a Suite should come with. The GM who lived part of his life in Australia did offer me a financial refund but it never came up when I spoke to him at check-out.

We were upgraded to a wonderful room with a city view, turndown service, great staff.

The staff, accommodations and location sold us on this hotel. The rooms are larger and comfortable for European hotels and even include "wash cloths", and heated floors in the bathroom. You can walk out the door and practically trip over Trafalgar Square. Within walking distance to most major attractions such as Big Ben and Buckingham Palace, the Royal Horseguards Hotel is definitely a five star winner at an exceptional price.

Excellent staff and facilities. Would highly recommend to all my friends and anyone else.

Almost everything was great. There was a loud party in a neighboring room one night, but the rest of the time was quiet, clean, and very nice. The staff was very courteous and helpful.

My husband and I stayed at The Royal Horseguards last year and knew it was the only hotel we wanted to return to due to its staff, facilities and location. From the minute you walk in the door you are made to feel special and welcome. The reception staff and the concierge are wonderfully helpful!

We enjoyed our stay at the Royal Horseguard! The hotel is nice and the location is fantastic. It's located right next to the embankment underground stop, and is in general centrally located to many tourist attractions. The room was smaller but it had nice amenities like heated bathroom floor an towel rack. We did have a bad experience going to breakfast on our last day, but it was recognized before we even said anything and the entire thing was comped for free. Overall very happy with our stay

Staff was superb. Attentive, helpful, engaging and constantly looking for ways to make my stay better

We've stayed at The Royal Horseguards several times. It's a beautiful hotel and the staff couldn't be nicer. Don't miss it!

Excellent location. Clean rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff!!

Very convenient to tube, buses and walking to attractions yet in quiet location.

Stayed at the Royal Horseguards with my mother. The hotel is very nice. Our room was decent but felt more 4 than 5 star. The lobby was lovely. The breakfast buffet was delicious. The staff was mostly amazing. There was one who was abrupt, but that can happen anywhere.

Hello and thank you for your review. I'm sorry to hear that you did not like the bedroom allocated to you. But am pleased to know that we were able to upgrade you our opulent Waterloo suite. On the top floor of the hotel, the Suite takes full advantage of our riverside location, overlooking the majestic River Thames and The iconic London Eye. It is positively the best view of the London skyline.
