The rooms were rather dirty, with stains and hair on the sheets, towels, etc. Mold and mildew on the shower curtains, and just an overall rundown appearance. To top it off, the staff was extremely rude, impossible to communicate with to any meaningful extent, and flat out admitted they had no interest in even attempting good customer service. If ever you're in Canby, and this is the only spot open: save your money, sleep in your car.
Worst experience ever as if becoming a r ride homeless during first several cold nights of winter was bad enough getting ripped off for what was intended to be a shower and good night's sleep quickly turned to neitherc sun you very rude hostile so called owner three different quotes in an hour by the time you get a ride u pay for to even get there when had been honestly quoted in the first place u never would have gone but then find out owner over drafted your bank account not only taking every cent Had take but a substantial amount on top of it!a No Internet dirty towels no brshower not ever being able to get fresh after mentioned twice claim they don't take aaa when everyone and ad states they do cable doesn't work dirty linens was told id get a smoking room but didn't very obvious upon arrival key card never worked and when request made to file complaints he was irrational hostile just plain awful now no shower sleep and best yet(sarcasm) no breakfast or money fix this so a woman isn't alone and cold on the street or the negative comments stay posted on each and every site possible
We spent a Saturday night here July 30th to attend a birthday party at St Joseph s winery. It was the only place I could find near the winery. The price was reasonable. If you don't like the smell of curry you won't enjoy the lobby smell. We didn't mind it. The room was clean but dark and stuffy. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. If you don't mind a 4am wake up call from a train whistle you won't be bothered by the ones that come the next several hours. If invited to the winery again we would stay here for convenience but would bring ear plugs! Side note the maid recommended a great Mexican restaurant 1/2 block away El Colitos.
Over all the room was average. Clean. Microwave. Fridge. Good working shower. My boyfriend has a service dog. They allowed us to stay there but confronted him at check out and told him "dogs aren't allowed." His service dog has a vest that is marked clearly. But the manager said he doesn't care. Discrimination??? I think so. We won't be staying here again.
We stayed four nights. Our stay didn't start off so well. The owners accidentally charged our credit card twice, then became defensive and angry as my husband tried to get the issue fixed. When we arrived at the room, it smelled very strongly of urine. We talked about asking to be switched, but instead I went back to the office and asked for some air freshener or something, which they provided, and I hoped that plus running the fan would help the situation. It didn't, but I felt foolish asking to switch after we stayed the whole night. I picked up some Febreze for pet odors and a Glade candle, which helped a lot more than the spray they gave us and made the room bearable, since we weren't spending a lot of time there, just to sleep. A few other small annoyances: no batteries in the remote control, had to hike across the parking lot to access the "vending" room, which only had an ice dispenser, no actual vending machines. It's hard to judge the cleanliness of a room when your senses are overwhelmed by pee smell, but it seemed quite clean other than that. The WiFi didn't work very well, and I ended up just turning on the mobile hotspot on my phone instead. It was a comfortable bed, though, and I would have been far happier with my stay if it weren't for the urine odor. I would stay here again if that issue were fixed, because it served its purpose.
My wife and I were traveling to Portland and needed somewhere to stay that wouldn't put us back $100 or more. It wasn't awful and its a place to stay, but nothing more. I wouldn't pay more than $70 to stay here. Bathroom was not very clean and the look of the hotel isn't the best.
Pros decent price for 2 queens shared with our son & wife , grandson. It was clean , water pressure was great. Cons stop cooking in lobby like your at home ( smelled like curry ) hope air con lil quieter , it's dated decor & breakfast should say Danish & Drink! I would stay there again if I had too 😃
A friend of mine came down to stay in the area when Garth Brooks was in town. I live in Oregon City, and she wanted to be close to me, as I would be driving her to and from the concerts, etc I got her there to check in around 11 pm on a Saturday night..the office was closed. We were able to get help after pressing the buzzer. We asked for the Wifi code, and assumed all was well. She was never able to log in to the wifi, and didn't want to disturb him again. The next morning, I went to pick her up, and we had to push the buzzer to get help again. He seemed very irritated to come and help us. She informed him that the water didn't work-she was unable to get the shower to turn on... He explained something special she had to do to make it work. (Would have been nice to know before hand!). The breakfast was minimal, but it was something. She didn't have any. I would definitely not recommend anyone I know to stay there.
Rooms are average but at $65 average is ok. Everything was clean and functional. Sheets are a bit rough and if you are a light sleeper, you'll hear the trains during the night. Continental breakfast. Good location for walking in the small town.
Hey! It's a $70.00 hotel room with clean sheets, comfy bed, tons of hot water and great water pressure. Clean towels, coffee in room, microwave, refrigerator, free WIFI ... What else do you want? We stay here about 3 times a year and have always had great service. Get to know the nice owners instead of bashing how the lobby smells like Indian Food. It's what they eat and it's Authentic!
