Room with horrible cigaret smell. Complained at the reception 3 times and all they said was: hotel is full there is nothing we ca do. They do not reinforce or punish smokers, even though the hotel is some-free. I have allergy and requested front desk for intervention several times. This is, for me, horrible customer satisfaction or customers service. Do not stay at this hotel!!!
We stayed here for 2 nights as part of a tour. The first night we arrived quite late so wanted food asap. Just around the corner were quite a range of bars and restaurants and real ale bars. The location is great - we could walk easily to the waterfront restaurants in the following evening as well as parks. There isn't really a nice space downstairs to sit when you are awaiting transport etc - it is just a corridor with a sofa on it and the bar is ok, but not really that welcoming. The room was really nice - comfy bed and really clean. I don't agree with charging for water in your room, but luckily several kiosks on the corner nearby to get it from. Breakfast was a little odd. There was a tiny note on the table saying you could get eggs and bacon if you asked - which I did, but then they offered me pancakes too which weren't mentioned at all - they were lovely too. The cakes were more like petit fours and there was one staff member who spent her whole time arranging them - my husband kept taking things from random places, to see how she reacted! We felt sorry for the female staff - it seemed their uniform consisted of an extremely short skirt with a slit up the back. I think they should be able to wear something a bit more comfortable. Staff on reception were helpful. I would stay here again as it's such a good location, but eat out in the evening as there is so much choice nearby.
Easy walking distance to all major sights, also plenty of bars and restaurants close by. Quiet even though on main road. Room and bathroom of adequate size. Breakfast selection good with option for eggs to be cooked to order. Happy to store luggage at no charge whilst away from BA visiting Antarctica.
I would not recommend this hotel because in my experience wifi was super slow and food was bad. If you do not need internet and will not eat in the hotel it may be an option because location is good. The rooms and furniture are too old, but price is good. Still, I'm sure there are better choices out there!
In a good location and comfortable room with adequate breakfast. Atmosphere was a bit stifled, reception staff helpful but a bit stiff. Hop on hop off bus stops just across their own road so that's good, you can walk to many sights but it was very hot so we appreciated the bus. A pool would have been most welcomed but as stated more suited for business customers but don't dismiss this as it was clean comfortable and in a good location
The overall impression of the hotel is positive, rooms are comfortable and the location is great. The only drawback is the receptionist who apparently can’t be bothered to take care of the guests. The rest of the crew were great and amiable. A great plus the water pressure in the showers is fantastic.
Enjoyed our stay, the room was comfortable, reception staff very helpful and breakfast better than any other hotel we stayed at in Argentina. Great location for exploring and shopping. Easy to get a taxi for going further into town. Loved being able to go for a walk in a nature reserve next to the sea and not too far from the hotel.
This is a clean, modern hotel in the downtown area, near Porto Madero and the ferry terminal, but not near any metro stops (closest one is 12-15min walk). There are many restaurants in the area (Al Carbon is pretty decent), and hotel also has their own restaurant but we did not try it. Our tour company booked us a wrong room, but Luciano at the front desk was kind enough to correct that. Keep in mind that their Superior room is actually the most basic and quite small (not sure what it is superior to, the street??). There was no room to open a suitcase on the floor, and bathroom was quite cramped. The Suite room (with a king size bed) is double the size, and quite comfortable so would highly recommend esp. if you are staying for a few days. We were facing the street, but there was no noise and we slept great. The breakfast was decent, but you had to request any warm items (eg eggs) from the staff. They also did not have plain yogurt which was odd in a country that loves cows. The hotel was pretty helpful in making restaurant reservations, but beware that there is no concierge on the weekends and there were also some misunderstandings due to language issues. They will also exchange money but only ~100 USD and not always. There is a Metropolis exchange booth in Galleria Pacifico mall which is a block away and has better rates. There are many people offering to exchange money on the street, but obviously avoid that. There are also several ATMs in the area, but Argentine ATMs are notorious for high fees and low withdrawal limits.
I am afraid I disagree with all the very good reviews of this hotel. It is just average. Check-in was great with very friendly staff (a lady called Milagros was very helpful in sorting transfer before arrival and early check in). The entrance and the lobby are very classy and impressive. Unfortunately, it stops there. Room was relatively small even if called superior, it is not enough for two people. Also, you can see it was nice in the past but it is getting a bit tired and dated. Breakfast was ‘minimalist’, still good but I can understand some of the other reviews. For the fit professionals, gym is OKish but very basic stuff, so don’t expect your full routine. Location is great, very central and near the Galleria Pacifico. Overall, not bad and the price was reasonable but I was expecting much more for this rating on TripAdvisor. I am sure you can get a better deal with other hotels.
The hotel is clean and comfortable, but the noise from the hustle and bustle of Buenos Aires finds it way into the room. The bathroom below the lobby is clean - a very good sign for a Hotel's standard. Most of the lobby staff was friendly, but not overly friendly. The room was small but cosy. There was a universal power strip in the room for international travelers' use. No iron or iron board were in the room. Lovely variety of lighting in the room.
