Good choice in Buenos Aires, centrally located and very nice hotel. The staff is incredible and make a difference. I reserved a superior room as they called the standard room and it is perfect for a short stay maube if i have to stay longer i will choose a suite one. One of my Friends stayed in one of those and it was awesome and ver very comfortable. Cleaning service is very good and for me this point it is very important , everything when i got back from meetings was in order, well done and with care. I will be back , i like this hotel. Price was good , it is was i expected.

We had a lovely couple of nights at The Lancaster, it was in an ideal location just a 5 minute walk from the ferry terminal and on the edge of the main town. It is also within a short walk of the new waterfront developments. We had a couple of pleasant surprises during our stay - a lovely selection of complimentary home-made chocolates delivered to our room on the fisrt night and a complimentary breakfast on our last morning. Great service and friendly, knowledgeable staff. If you turn left out of the hotel and take the first left again, there is a great restauarnt (Dada) and some lovely little bars just at the back of the hotel - we dicovered them by accident on our last night.

Thought I was there for some time only like 20 hours in the city but this hotel is just perfect. Excellent location Very nice staff Close to everything you want. Rooms are clean. Wifi was just too good. Go for this you won't get better value of your money.

We always use this hotel when we are passing through Buenos Aires. We consider it to be good value and very well located for shopping and Puerto Madera restaurants. The staff are very helpful and the rooms are very good. All in all, a good package.

We were booked in to what was described as a Superior room, but it didn't seem to be very superior. When we questioned the receptionist about this he explained that a Superior room is an economy room with a coffee machine. The room was very small with a view of a building site. All the receptionists were rude and disinterested. Breakfast was good and the supervisor and staff were very helpful. Security man was always pleasant and polite. The hotel was central but we won't stay there again,. We have at several NH hotels in Europe and South America but this is definitely the worst.

The ferry terminal was a 10 minute walk, which was why we chose the hotel. This isn't a four star hotel by any stretch of the imagination. Poor service at the front desk on arrival, rooms with a dirty quilt cover, mould in the bathroom and no mattress protector. The hotel is old and tired looking and just needs some care and attention. The Wifi didn't connect so luckily we only spent a few hours there .We came down and thought of dining in the restaurant but the awful smell from there put us off. Thereis certainly Interesting night life around the hotel.

This hotel is very well situated being close to the main shopping streets, also just a few minutes from the Buquebus terminal to catch the ferry to Uruguay. Furthermore the attractive dining area Puerto Madero is just a few minutes more. We found the staff helpful, the breakfast had some imaginitive choices, allthough our standard room was not big it was OK. The was one of the most comfortable hotel beds we've ever slept in.

Unfortunately our weeks' stay here was rather disappointing and as a result I wouldn't consider staying here again. We turned up two hours before the official check in time and I asked at reception whether there was any chance of getting access to the room yet. Every other hotel I've stayed in at least has a look just in case it's ready but not here, just a rather blunt "you're too early" and a giggle. I admit to not having pre-agreed or paid for early check in so fair enough, perhaps the member of staff knew they were fully booked or something, but it did give the impression the service wouldn't be very flexible or hospitable here… We returned three hours later and another member of staff began the check in process. I had booked a Suite with twin beds and in the week leading up to the stay emailed the hotel to confirm the arrangement. I never received a reply to the email which hadn't helped expectations and now at the desk I was informed they couldn't prepare a Suite with twin beds so we'd have to have a normal room. Everything had been prepaid and there was no offer of a refund for the difference or complimentary services to compensate such as breakfast, nor much of any form of apology. The hotel corridors was quite smart looking and rather clean and our room was at the rear of the hotel on the second floor. Not being a Suite it was obviously much smaller than I had expected and over the course of the first two days a number of things became obvious - the window was broken and didn't close properly, meaning that it failed to block out noise from the busy street below. Car park alarms, car horns, people shouting was all significantly audible in the room. The digital safe was broken and couldn't be shut. There were no dressing gowns or slippers provided meaning the wooden floor gave a somewhat cold feel to the room (they’re provided in a suite so might have been nice to be offered them as a make-good). The range and number of pods provided for the coffee machine was small; with only three (one being decaff) don't expect more than one cup each a day! The beds were quite comfortable although I did find the pillows a bit too firm. The air conditioning worked well and the TV was large but with limited channels, especially in English. Each bed came with a reading light however there was only one electric socket in the room by the desk which was very frustrating and limiting. The bathroom was a decent size with toilet and bidet as well as a large shower with separate handheld unit. Using the shower was a mystery though and I can only conclude it was broken - the central dial (none were labeled) didn't seem to do anything, the handheld was constantly on and there seemed to be no logic to adjusting the temperature. The door seal was also broken meaning water leaked all over the bathroom floor each time. The cleanliness of the shower and tiles left a lot to be desired, with mould around the joints. There were lots of mirrors in the bathroom along with hairdryer and makeup mirror. A complimentary glass bottle of water was provided in the room each day, although it would be nice for two to save having to share it. Despite having the 'make up room' sign displayed all day, housekeeping failed to show on one day meaning toiletries and the coffee wasn't replaced. On the first day someone via the hotel phone offered to move us to an alternative room after I mentioned the safe being broken; at this point all the issues hadn't been exposed and we were wanting to recover from a long flight so I asked to discuss in the morning. However a mix of long queues in the morning and no one behind the desk at night meant that after a couple of days I gave up. The lobby area and bar was nicely decorated with quite a calming atmosphere. The service in the bar wasn't great (slow, rather rude and difficult to get hold of anyone) and their draft beer pump was broken. But if you manage to get a seat by the window it's a good place to watch the world go by. The general location of the hotel is superb, within just a moments walk of key locations and restaurants. It provided an ideal base to return to each day. It is just such a shame the location was the only positive memory looking back. Even on check out, after requesting additional money for a couple of bar drinks, no comment was made as to the fact we didn't get what we booked and no offer of help was made with getting luggage outside to the taxi. Poor service, defective rooms and an abundance of very nearby alternative hotels mean I can't recommend this one.

Good 4 star hotel. Friendly staff, good facilities and situated beside lots of restaurants etc, Buenos Aires does not accept credit cards in very many places. Also most of the banks do not change money. The only place I found was Banco Piano. Room had fridge and there was good room service. The buffet breakfast was excellent.

Stayed here for 3 nights at the start of our South American tour. Room was very comfortable & clean, all staff were professional & helpful. Location was very good, and although the view from the room wasn't the best, it didn't detract from our stay. Breakfast was truly excellent (one of the best we had in Argentina) -wide range of healthy options as well as not so healthy! Delicious coffee, fresh fruit & smoothies choices which were unusual. Always water available in the lobby & good wifi.
