Urban Suites Recoleta Boutique Hotel

We had an enormous room on the back of the hotel. It was quiet and very clean. The WiFi worked well. There were no English channels on the TV. The breakfast was good but one felt claustrophobic in the subterranean breakfast room. The lobby is minuscule and often was overcrowded with folks checking in and out, asking questions of front desk staff, etc. This hotel is ideally situated for walking around the charming Recoleta neighborhood.

We had a room overlooking Recoleta Cemetary and loved the large room, balcony and the exotic view. The staff were professional and helpful and the central location cannot be beat. Large, clean rooms, good breakfast (they will make eggs to order) and great service help make this hotel one of the best values in Buenos Aires.

It’s a beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of Recoleta. Perfect location, the views and comfortable big modern rooms. The staff is so kind! Loved the breakfast too. I totally recommend Urban Suites.

I highly recommend this boutique hotel. The location can´t be better, plenty of restaurants, bars, parks, museums, boutiques and a shopping in the corner. Our suite was very clean and spacious; bed comfortable and beautiful decoration . Wifi has an excellent signal and it’s very fast. Breakfast is great, assorted fruits, breads, cakes and drinks for all tastes. The front desk staff spoke fluent english and really went out of their way to help us make the most of our days in Buenos Aires. I would definetely stay there again.

We stayed here twice within a couple of weeks and would recommend this hotel. It is in a great location - literally right by the entrance to Recoleta Cemetery which is one of the main attractions to see in BA and only a 10 minute walk to the Floralis Generica and is surrounded by plenty of lively bars and restaurants. We had rooms on the fourth floor (overlooking the cemetery which was great but long and narrow so not a great room layout) and on the third floor (at the end of the corridor and a much better room layout but overlooking buildings and a neighbouring bar). The rooms are clean and modern with a nice bathroom and kitchenette. During the second stay we had a problem with the fridge not working but alerted reception and they rectified the problem while we were out. All the staff were friendly and courteous and breakfast was good - continental but plenty of selection. No problem with noise from neighbouring establishments either. Would definitely stay here again.

We arrived to the hotel in the evening and were told that we are the last to check in and would have a room on the second floor but that we could change the next morning because many people were checking out. Right away that made us concerned because we had not even seen the room yet so it must be bad for them to offer that. The room was a large wheel chair accessible room. Great for anyone who needs a room with special requirements but found some of it awkward to use. We turned on the AC and right away the smell of urine filled the room - there was a large walkout patio we thought the smell could have been from out there. We were tired an knew we would change rooms tomorrow so we went to bed. The hotel is on a very loud street with bars with front and back patios. We thought being at the back would be a bit better but it was very loud and we barely slept. The next morning we went for breakfast which was nice and had good selection. We then went to the front desk to ask about moving rooms. The manager was there and said we could either wait around for a couple hours to move our stuff right in or go out for the day and then move when we got back. We didn't want to sit around waiting so we said we would change in the afternoon when we came back. We went out and enjoyed our day and came back to a new front desk man and we explained that we had been told last night and this morning that we could change rooms. He said they had gone to use our stuff but our suitcases were not packed so they could not move us. The manager had never said that they would move our stuff for us and we would have never agreed to that as we were using the safe. He kept telling us over and over that there was nothing he could do and was not kind or sympathetic. At our first request to call the manager he refused. We continued asking if everyone has checked in and all he would say is that the hotel is full tonight and there was nothing he could do we could try and change tomorrow. Eventually after getting upset at sleeping in the loud urine room again he agreed to call the manager. He called and the manager eventually said he could change us to another room. He was very rude and was not trying to help us at all. After he gave us our new cards all he said was that it was not his choice and he was just doing his job. I get that some decisions may be above him but then he should at least seem helpful and agree to call the manager right away instead of arguing and upsetting customers. We moved to a new room on a higher floor. There was still some noise but it was much better with a normal layout and no urine smell. When leaving for dinner multiple nights I heard the front desk promising people they could move to a better room tomorrow as any rooms on the second or third floor would be super loud. They obviously know that those rooms are below the standard of what people pay for but then you have to wait around to change rooms the following day. Not worth it with so many better hotels - we also stayed in the dazzler in Palermo and would highly recommend. The ladies at breakfast were always very nice and the one good part of the hotel.

We stayed here for a night in January 2018. The room was spacious and clean; had a kitchenette with microwave. Very friendly staff and helped us with local tips and organised pick up and drop off from the airport. BF was simple; but good. Quiet location, close to the famous Recoleta cemetery. Will be back to stay here when in town.

If you want to have access to everything in Buenos Aries, this is a great place to stay. The place was clean and modern and our view was great. We started out rough when there was this strange annoying drainage sound in the bathroom. They couldn't send someone to fix it till the next day but I was able to dampen the sound by covering the toilet with some heavy towels. The next day they could not fix it so they offered us the master suite but we were already settled in and my son was recovering my heat exhaustion from our trip to Iquazu falls. We stayed put and continued to use the towels to dampen the sound. The receptionists were very accommodating.

Located in a perfect area to tour Buenos Aires, this hotel is a gem. Each staff member could not have been more helpful. The morning breakfast was filling, I must get one of those little gadgets that warm and whip milk! Rooms were fabulous, not much to be said for the view (room 404) but the a/c and shower were absolutely the best. I'd stay there again just for those two things. Beds and pillows quite comfortable, room was a good size to spread out two suitcases. Only two rooms on our floor at the back of the hotel gave a great nights sleep. The bottle of wine in the room for 120 pesos was quite good. Would stay here again without question and pleased to recommend to anyone thinking of booking. They arranged taxi to EZE for 750 pesos which is a steal, taxi from cruise port to hotel was 500 pesos!

Staff is professional, helpful and even friendly. The first day we arrived around noon they let us change and freshen up at the gym then took care of our luggage. Room service is frequent. The pictures of the suites are just as advertised - the suites are HUGE. Each is equivalent to a mini-suite. The hotel is conveniently located in a hip neighborhood near everything. Last but not the least, breakfasts are delicious and Daniella always greets you with a sweet smile.
