Urban Suites Recoleta Boutique Hotel4.0 out of 5.0

We stay 3 nights at Urban Suites Recoleta in April 2017. I booked the room online and check in was fast in the small lobby. They did not have a room for us right away as it was 11 am but there is a workout room on the top level where we could change clothes. The workout room also has a terrace with a jacuzzi of some sort and there is a great view to the Recoleta cemetery. When we got back to the hotel later on we got room 73. The room was bigger than I had expected with a dark wooden floor and light walls with various art works. The king-size bed towards one end of the room was fairly soft and comfortable and side tables had space enough. There was a large sofa, chair and table in the “living room” and the small kitchen contained a table with 4 chairs, a microwave oven, water boiler, small fridge etc. There was a smaller flat screen TV on the wall by the bed but we could not find a lot of English speaking channels. There were no international plugs but we did bring a converter so we were able to charge all our gadgets. The wardrobe included a few hangers and also a small safe. The bathroom was also quite large and had a toilet, bide and a shower corner. For some reason there were not many hooks to hang clothing, towels etc. There were the basic amenities like shampoo, shower gel and conditioner. When we were there it was not that hot so we didn’t get to test out the air-con capacity but it seemed to work fine. We had free wifi and it was only a matter of putting in a password the first time so this worked very well. Breakfast was in the basement and had a standard selection of bread, pastries, some sweet cereal, juice etc. There was also some scrambled eggs and bacon. I enjoyed the fruit salad and it seemed like it was homemade. It was possible to order good coffee made according to your wish – the double espresso was good. Location of the hotel is good. It is located right next to Recoleta cemetery and Recoleta mall and in the area you will find shops, restaurants and bars. All in all we were happy with our stay at this hotel and I would not hesitate to recommend it to family and friends. I might even stay there again if I travel to Buenos Aires again.
This small hotel is opposite the famous cemetery. Bars and restaurants are just next door. The hotel has only a few facilities, but our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff is helpfull. Breakfast is a buffet and is adequate. Wifi worked very good. We were so satisfied, we returned on our next stay in BA. When you book a room: those on the front are overlooking the cemetery.
Location was fantastic. Spacious room. Balcony overlooking cemetery. Water in showers was only slightly hotter than luke warm. Staff not particularly friendly but were efficient. Breakfast better than average.
I have never stayed in a hotel that calls itself boutique hotel but in reality is an hotel not capable to provide customer service. arrived on sunday and ordered room service: waited one hour and the food arrived cold. Sent the food back and they had the courage to heat it in the microwave and then returned it to me Wifi that they claim is available in all aerea was so weak that the only way to use it was to sit against the room door. Called them 3 times and it took one day: in 2017 it is ridiculous to have wifi that can have one bar signal Water in the morning was just cold Booked transport through hotel from and to company. The drivers were most of the time late and then drive like madman bevause they had to catch up on next service One of the person at the reception had the courage to lift his eyes because i complained about transports delays The only thing this hotel does timely and properly is to ask for money
We stayed here in late February. The hotel is excellently located in a good part of town and minutes away from the small but nice Recoleta Mall and within easy walking distance of a specialist furniture mall. The nearest Subte (top of the yellow line until they extend it) is around 20 minutes walk. The hotel is also directly opposite the Recoleta Cemetery, one of the world's largest necropolises and a tourist attraction in its own right. We opted NOT to have a room fronting that but apparently some people like it. :-o There is a very small pool and gym on the 10th floor (overlooking the cemetery) which we didn't use. Our room on the third floor was fine and comfortable with a small fridge and large bathroom/shower. It is a suite hotel, so there is no common area lounge etc but there is a small breakfast room in the basement which was fine and well stocked. Our only negative observation is that while the staff spoke acceptable English, there was something slightly seedy about them. Can't quite put a finger on it. Overall though, happy to recommend this hotel. They will arrange for a pick up from EZE if you ask in advance - we paid $ARS700 which we thought was reasonable. Pay the driver in cash.
I only spent 3 nights in this hotel and wish I could have stayed for longer. It has all you need when looking for a comfortable stay (both business and leisure) with rooms that feel like studio apartments, great location, tons of options to eat out, safe area to go for a walk and very friendly and helpful staff. Next time I'm in Buenos Aires, I'll be staying here for sure!
Clean, comfortable, fancy. Nice rooms, bathrooms with very good showers, kind staff, great service, helpful and caring. The place is great, good location in Recoleta with a lot of restaurants and bars around.
We arrived early am on 19 feb 17 and finally got checked in at 1pm. Asking for help was ok and helpful staff but not much voluntary info. The real advantage was the hotel will safely keep your luggage when leaving a few days on side trips and returning. All and we spent 5-7 nights and would have returned for more, but the price went up 25% or more. Our previous stays didn't seem mean anything.
First visit After a long day flying from Ecuador and a 3 hour baggage and shuttle delay at Ezeiza airport, we did not reach Urban Suites until late. We were delighted to breeze through the check in and were allocated a room overlooking historic Recoleta cemetery and could see Eva Peron’s mausoleum. The suite was indeed modern and urban with trendy furnishings, but the shower not quite as hot as we like. Urban Suites location is amazing, with sprawling pubs and restaurants on the footpaths and a stone’s throw from Recoleta Mall. That street had a couple of blocks of more restaurants and pubs with happy people everywhere and do not miss a tiny icecream shop “La Buena Moza” with the cheerful attendant who had a long conversation (in English) with us. We noted frequent police and security guards in the area We were taking a side trip to Iguazu and Urban Suites kindly stored our suitcases until we returned 2 nights later (at no charge). They also arranged for a taxi to the domestic airport, which arrived in minutes. Second visit Recoleta is a great location – close to the domestic airport as well as the cruise terminal. We had stayed at another hotel one block away a few years ago and were concerned for our security – not so at Urban Suites. It is in a popular area and we loved the vibes and energy on the streets. We checked in swiftly again and recovered our bags. This time we were allocated room 62 which had an even better view of the mausoleums in the Recoleta cemetary. Surprisingly, there was little noise from adjacent restaurants and bars. Breakfast Our room was as before, clean tidy amd urban but again the water was not hot enough for a steaming shower. This is the reason why they did not score a 5.
Rooms were very modern and in good condition. Bedroom was of good size and very neat. Big bathroom in very good condition, although the shower leaked on the floor, so much so we had to lay the towels on the floor after showering. Great service from the front desk, bilingual desk personal helped a lot. The hotel is located in a very good area of Buenos Aires
