I was in the area while exploring south Texas before a conference in Austin, and picked Brownsville for my overnight stop. My room was on Choice Privileges points. For the second night in a row, I was staying at a Comfort Suites that was undergoing renovations. In neither place did it impact my stay at all. This hotel is very nice. The lobby has a large aquarium near the breakfast area. The person who checked me in was very friendly and helpful, offering suggestions for things I might want to do while in the area. My room was great. Large and clean and comfortable. No problems with the wireless network. I'd say breakfast was below average for a Comfort Suites but it was good enough to get me to lunch. One minor complaint that I apologize that I did not mention to the staff is that the treadmill and exercise bikes in the fitness room were both not working properly. The treadmill kept speeding up and slowing down so it was impossible to use. The bike was stuck in some sort of mode where I couldn't control the settings and it had no resistance.

I arrived to the hotel 2 hours before the checking time, I thought I was going to wait on the lobby. When the recepcionist saw me waiting he let me do the check in before, with no extra cost. Continental breakfast is included

We got here a little early but they let us check in since the room was clean. The front desk was very helpful and very friendly even gave us a 10% discount for Roadhouse dinner. Room was great. Very clean and bed very comfortable.

This is a great hotel and it has it's own unique and wonderful atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The hotel room was very modern and comfortable along with the bed as always. If I do this exact same vacation in the future, then I would stay at this hotel again in the future.

My major complaint were the beds the mattress was terrible it bows in the center. The first night I complained to the staff as me and my husband have bad backs and had a terrible night sleep. They moved us to another room and assured us that we would not have a problem with this bed. But this bed was just as bad as the one we slept in the previous night. It is a clean hotel and the staff is very nice but it is time that the mattress in this hotel be changed. Moving to another hotel who will provide us with a god night sleep

Stayed at the Comfort 4/14 - 4/16. This used to be the best place in Brownsville to stay but now its just an average place desperately in need of a make over. You can tell that they have just given up a little. Its always bothered me that the restrooms have no fart fan but I over looked that (drives me crazy) because the pool area was nice and the rooms were clean and appealing. But alas them days are gone. The rooms seemed clean but the carpet and furniture was unsatisfactory with many suspect stains and whatever powder house keeping uses on the floor was all over the walls and carpet and chairs. Most disappointing was the pool area, all the patio furniture was broken and rusted and the pool had a bloody band aid floating around in it. Lobby and breakfast area looked nice and clean but we got around to using it.

I stayed here with a group of friends, on our trip to South Padre islands during the Spring break 2017. The rooms were spacious and had enough space for 2-3 people per room. Even 4 can stay with some about of adjustment. The breakfast didn't have a lot of variety. There were no eggs to order. The eggs were not up to the mark. But the breakfast was good enough as compared to the number of people who visit the hotel at one time. Other than this, there was enough parking space for our cars. Also rooms were quickly approachable.

As the title says, it is clean, comfortable, and convenient; the things that matter most. The hotel is conveniently located near many restaurants, shopping areas, and major roads. One can even walk across the parking lot to The Texas Roadhouse, if that is a restaurant of choice. The staff is professional and quickly responsive to any request. Competitively priced, comfortable beds in a decent size suite with a refrigerator/freezer that actually keeps things cold, we would definitely stay here again.

The room was very large with a King bed partially separated from a cozy living room where one could read without disturbing a fellow sleeper. But, if you are a light sleeper, be aware that this hotel has the noisiest closing doors I have ever heard in a hotel. Even the bathroom door closes with a very loud click. And don't stay in any room on the ground level because the gym, laundry and maintenance doors are opening and closing constantly with loud bangs as they close. The TV operation was another hurtle to jump. It took a call to the office to get the TV to operate and a lot of firm pressing on the remote to make any channel change. There was no fan in the bathroom making the mirror useless after a shower. The only other mirror is in the hall with no place to put any make up except on the floor. We were also disturbed at 8pm by some maintenance person wanting into the room to fix something? We were already down for the night, having traveled all day. Even so, rather odd time of night to be doing maintenance?

It was just for one night... Pretty good place to stay. Room size is higher than average for this hotel rating. Bed very comfortable and shower good. Crew is nice and helpful. This hotel stays in the best side of the highway, all restaurant are there.
