Please note boat can not leave dock during your stay.

If you are planning a visit to Boston or a Bostonian needing a getaway close to home consider staying on our houseboat 'The Blue Pearl'. . Our houseboat is fully furnished with well equipped kitchen, full size refrigerator, cooktop, microwave, Keurig coffeemaker and K cups. Master bedroom has a queen size bed with premium mattress, 800 thread count linens, down blanket and comforter. Kids loft has two twins and the living room has a memory foam sleep sofa.
The boat is fully air conditioned in the summer and heated during the winter. The covered front deck and the sundeck above has outdoor seating. Free Wi-Fi is included in your rental. We are now located in Charlestown Marina.

Parking is available but must be reserved ahead or spaces can be full. We have a limited number of spaces. Please confirm if you need us to save the parking.

Accessible via water taxi, car, or taxi . Uber is readily available.
Walk to many area attractions including USS Constitution, Bunker hill and the North End. Charlestown navy yard ferry terminal is a short walk and that drops you off at Long wharf next to the New England Aquarium downtown.
Travelling nurses please note. We rent our houseboats from November 1 to March 1 for $2000 per month plus electric. Email to inquire about availability.
Guests can expect to find a Smart TV with a DVD player. Other standard amenities include a kitchenette, a balcony, and a refrigerator. Housekeeping is available on request.

A Lovely Stay!

Great trip

Came for marathon weekend. This is a little off the beaten path, but perfect for an insane weekend. Kids loved the loft. We would usually do the 20-30 min walk into the city, otherwise Uber is great. Beautiful location, peaceful - would stay again in a heartbeat!

Perfectly quiet & relaxing for spring break vacation!

I had read in a novel about a family who lived on a house boat in the upper East coast area and wanted to experience it. This was the perfect way to experience house boat life! It was quiet and peaceful. My kids thought it was so fun too! It was a perfect location. Easy to get to North End, really anywhere if you were willing to walk, yet nice to retreat to when done exploring!

The Blue Pearl houseboat was the perfect homebase for our after Christmas Boston adventure with our 11 and 8 year old daughters. The location was convenient for everything we wanted to do in Boston. The boat was warm and inviting even in December. The shower was great. Check-in

Everything was as advertised. It was very nice and convenient to transportation around Boston. My first VRBO. A little annoyed to be charged a cleaning fee and then left a list of things to clean at check out as well as take the trash out with you. Otherwise very nice.

Gorgeous Houseboat

A comfortable houseboat in the wonderful Boston. We found everything about the houseboat convenient. From the short walk to North Boston to the well equipped houseboat. We are a family of 5 and everyone has space and was comfortable on board. The deck is lovely to sit at and we loved chatting to the other harbour users. We would definitely come again. Relaxing rocking

My son and I stayed here on a spring break trip. The location was a 5 min walk from the USS Constitution, a 10 min walk to Bunker Hill and a 20-30 min walk to the North End. However because we were on a boat in a marina there was zero traffic noise and that combined with the rocking motion of the houseboat meant I slept extremely well. Bonus: we were visited on several days by a pair of ducks who would hang out on the patio with us. Got to love a vacation home that comes with pets! Downsides? The location may not be the best if you don't like to walk. Also the boat definitely rocks. I've stayed on several houseboats in the past where you couldn't sense any motion. However this marina isn't protected by a sea wall or breakwater so the wakes from cargo vessels do cause the houseboat to bob a bit. I actually found it extremely relaxing but if you're readily prone to motion sickness this may not be for you.
