The hotel room was very nice and the staff was phenomenal! They exceeded my expectations and were very accommodating. Valet handled our car very well. Thanks Eliot Hotel!

My room was beautifully maintained old style boutique. Staff were extremely friendly. Lastly, although not necessarily important for vacationers, The minibar was priced very well. Usually hotels will charge you five dollars for a small bag of chips, but everything was very reasonable.

If you're looking to shop Newberry St., walk to Boston Commons, Enjoy fine dining and have super easy access to the T Train stop, this is your place. Beautiful old world charm and excellent service by the staff. Two great restaurants off the lobby: High End French American and a Stylish Sushi Bar. However, our stay wasn't perfect and not worth the high price tag. Our room looked out to an alley, the Wifi barely worked, the room furnishings, doors, etc. were a bit banged up, the bathroom was tiny and the bed was terrible: A full size with a super soft mattress did not offer a good night sleep for two people. I would still recommend this hotel, but just make sure you request a queen or king bed with a newer mattress.

The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. The room was clean and sufficient. On the small side but not sure what the norm is for the area as this was our first visit to Boston. Location great! Staff made up for any shortcomings! Would recommend and will return.

We live in the Boston area but wanted to treat ourselves to a special evening. We'd seen the hotel while walking in the neighbourhood and have wanted to stay for a while. It was better than we'd hoped! The staff were kind and helpful, the area was quiet and picturesque and the room was beautiful. A perfect experience!

Great for site seeing. Sushi restaurant was great as is Clio. Got upgraded to a suite which was a real plus. Internet is horrible.

This is a very classy hotel with roomy accommodations and top-notch dining options. The façade was under renovation when I stayed but the interior of the lobby and the room was terrific. Great value.

I have stayed there several times over many years and have never been disappointed

I stayed at the Eliot from Christmas Day through the weeekend. The staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful, our suite was beautiful and the location was terrific. The restaurant and sushi bar are exceptional. I highly recommend The Eliot Hotel.

We stayed here for MIT's Family Weekend. Convenient to campus AND Boston, AND the fraternity/sorority area for MIT. I love that the Eliot is a stone's throw from the Hyne's T stop, or just a quick walk to the Kenmore area, Newbury, or MIT. The room was a cozy suite with a King bed in one room, and a full sitting room in the other. There are thoughtful touches such as two blanket throws to wrap over your shoulders or place across your lap. There were two luggage racks--a touch often missed by hotels. There was a Keurig coffee maker in the mini-bar area, complete with bar sink. There was a closet safe, plenty of towels, bathrobes, two tv's, free and easy to use internet... Everything was perfect. Our bed was quite comfortable, the shower very strong--always a plus. The only amenities I personally could have wished for would have been a weekend local paper or NYT delivered, and more coffee pods (regular please!). The front desk (Alexy) was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The doorman and bellhops were also always welcoming. We were lucky to happen upon a good price for the weekend, and usually this hotel is out of our budget. We have stayed at many area hotels over the years, and this was among the top two. With Boston and now Cambridge hotels suddenly surging in price, we were so happy we splurged on the Eliot. You won't go wrong with a stay here.

I travel to Boston a couple times a year. This was my first time at this hotel and I absolutely will return! Great staff, breakfast at restaurant was fantastic, love the location.

I planned this trip as a belated birthday present for my nephew and wanted a hotel that was safe and close to Fenway. The Eliot Hotel far exceeded my expectations and made me look like Aunt of the year. We loved the room, the people who worked there, and the location. A huge hit was the cookies and chocolates that they left for us, as well as the upgrade to the suite! I cannot thank the hotel staff enough for making it a memorable trip!

8 out of 10 for location, value for money and small enough for some personal service. Location is key and it was right on

Very nice and accommodating staff. Clean and comfortable suite style room. Convenient to shopping, BU and Fenway. Unfortunately the a/c is old , noisy and does not cool well. All in all we enjoyed our stay but had to wear ear plugs.

Terrific location made for a memorable wedding anniversary get-away. Terrific restaurants are all around and in the hotel. Staff is first class and very accomadating. Suites are comfortable and very clean. We will return.

Arrived in Boston on red eye, tired and in need of sleep. The Eliot had a room ready for us to check in at 10:30 a.m. We were upgraded from a basic room to a lovely suite. Location perfect for our Hynes convention center 4 day meeting, just a few minutes walk away. Room very pretty, bed ultra comfortable. Everything in room was is perfect working order, very clean, dust free, etc. Doormen and staff very helpful as far as restaurant suggestions, directions, maps, etc. Did not get to eat in their restaurants, which I heard were very good. Will definitely stay again on my next trip to Boston. A perfect stay!!

The Eliot Hotel is a piece of heaven. A visit to our adult daughter is always made even more special when we come "home" to the Eliot at night. Sophistication and timeless style. Gourmet breakfast with fresh, healthful food.

Was a great stay- and right on top of Newbury street, which was great for a weekend hangout. Slightly expensive, but very comfortable room and great restaurants in the hotel.

We had the 1 bedroom suite. Stayed with my mother and wife. Mom was able to sleep on the pull-out sofa and wife and had bed. Great value for the area, good location, close to subway T, very accommodating staff and nice details (mints and cookies in the room, etc.).

We only stayed one night at the Eliot, but we were VERY impressed with the service. They bent over backwards to help us with luggage, directions, getting our car up so we could make a timely departure etc. The room was very nice (though the view had nothing to recommend it) and frankly my only real complaint was that the bed was kind of mushy-I like a firmer mattress and so does my wife. As for Value, its really hard to say-its not cheap, but its really well located if you want a nice boutique back bay hotel. I would absolutely stay there again.
