This property has had some rough times, weathering many storms, but it feels like the owners have tried to put care into it. I trally enjoyed talking with all the staff! Be kind. We stayed 2 nights in order to get a full day of Gulf Coast BIRDING in. The front desk people are all pleasant and helpful. Our 2nd-floor interior room (no elevator) was over the kitchen dining area, yet was surprisingly quiet. The king bed and pillows were very comfortable. Breakfast was quite adequate with eggs, sausage, biscuits and sausage gravy, yogurts. We appreciated the Oatmeal packets.
This is not a property anyone should visit. I should have read the reviews from others before I booked this place. You can see how many time the management has had to respond to bad reviews, way too many, and other reviews have photos of many of their issues that they refuse to change. They will try and gouge you, as they are only looking for a reason to charge you for more services. All of the staff lives on site, that is trashy, poor souls with no way out. The property is falling apart, but they will insist that this is top -notch. The breakfast is completely horrible, nothing is fresh, and they do not keep up with anything once it runs out especially coffee. Not even worth your time, this should be illegal. Lastly there where roaches crawling around our room at night, and we found a bug in the mattress. Horrible people, horrible conditions, waste of money. I would happily pay more elsewhere, definitely bottom tier location.
the shower handle and spout were broken, breakfast was stale, property needed some maintenance
Condition needs o upgrade bathroom missing shower handheld wand. Desk with charging not plugged in
drove 4 hours & no room !!
I asked fork for food at front, but said 'no', 'we don't have it'. but they provide breakfast with fork.
Staff very nice. I understand the hotel is being renovated so that probably explains the conditions around this older hotel. It is in the middle of two highways and not much around it, but it is within a couple of miles of fast food restaurants/stores.
This was not as advertised. The pictures did not match the furniture in the room.
Nice stay only problem was the ironing board please replace.
I spent 4 nights they never changed my linen the luggage rack was rusty; The decorated chair was stained; I accidently left my cell phone in the room when I checked out. The cleaning team promptly returned to the front desk and when I called They had it for me to pick up. During breakfast milk would quickly be used staff did not refill; bananas was over ripe. Apples look like they came off a local tree.
My title says a lot and is true. My regular Job I basically live in Hotels over 7 months per year. Staff was mediocre. First room key wouldn't open the door despite unlocking door. I felt that somehow the door was locked from the inside. And discovered the external (ground floor room) Windows were unlocked. I decided this to be a security issue in several layers. So I returned to the front desk. The desk clerk walked me to the room and attempted to open the door as if I didn't know how a magnetic key card works. She said oh I think I know what's going on here I'll get u a different room. Uppon returning to the desk I saw notes stating some rooms could not be rented Due to Flat screen TVs being missing or Stolen. I suspect that the room we just left would be the Next to be added to that list. Since I value my safety and privacy I suggested she put me on the second floor. She did manage to find me a room with indoor entrance on the second floor. Being tired from a long day of travels. I decided to take a shower uppon arrival in my room. The shower had hair from several guests in it, the toilet had urine behind it. I found candy wrappers behind furniture in the room and a used condom behind the night stand. This is grose and the icing on the cake the next morning I dried my hands with a towel that I discovered NASTY person had wiped their crack with in place of taking a shower. The Maid staff folded and hung it back up as a Cleaned Towel. This is completely unacceptable.
Contentment got what we paid for. Very depressing area. Nothing but refineries and prisons
The main problem I had was the lack of a strong wifi signal. I need that to send my reports to the project manager. The beds aren't as good as I am used to, but it probably wouldn't be any different at the Holiday Inn.
We had a good experience. The pool was out of order which was disappointing, but we were informed prior to checkin! Reception staff were friendly, efficient and helpful! I'd stay there again if the need arose.
very nice hotel would recommend staying again, carpet needs shampooing had problem connecting to WIFI but overall a good nights rest.
Cleanliness of hotel and room overall needs work. The bar next door was good to have but we stayed in a room right next to the bar and we can hear the loud music till 2am closing In bed. The bath towels had a really bad smell on it after we used it. Bathroom floors was really grimey that forced us to use our bath towels on the floor to step on. Staff needs more training it can help with reservations and card issues. It looks a little run down can use a lot of updating. Amenities can be updated and unfortunately the gym wasn't open for us to utilize. It was an average stay for us.they can do some work. Hotel has a lot of potential especially with the awesome location it's in.
Location right neat the highway very conveient although a little complicated if you are not from the area. No staff to clean the room every day.
I had to stay there for a week. The toilet ran constantly. The room was nasty. Had mystery hair all over. The room I was in first was bad. They moved me to a so called upgraded room. It was cheezy. Not a good time.It had free breakfast that was stale and old. I would not recommend it to anyone ever. There is a bar there and its so loud at night you can't sleeep. Every room smells like cigarette smoke. And e its just foul.
The staff was very friendly. The bath tub wasn't clean (hair). There were not a lot of television stations available as compared to other hotels. There is an excellent resturant on site.
