I stayed here one night this week and one night was enough for me. First, the positive: the front desk woman was super friendly as were the other two or three employees I came into contact with. The bad: pretty much everything else. The hotel is desperately in need of an update. Check out the pictures of the bathroom. It is not just dirty but wallpaper is peeling, just really awful in need of a gut job. The location is good though, essentially in the same parking lot as a number of decent restaurants. My favorite hotel in BR is the Renaissance and sadly they were fully committed and I stayed at this Residence Inn. Not again for me unless they do a complete gut job.

The previous reviewer’s comment is the total opposite of our stay on March 3rd. I can’t rave enough about our visit! Towne Center is an upscale area in which we felt very safe. We regularly visit the Baton Rouge area, and the hotel’s central location makes it so easy to hit a major thoroughfare any destination. It’s off the beaten path, so there’s no road noise to disturb you. The front desk was prompt, friendly, efficient and we were warmly welcomed. We had a two bedroom suite for the night and thoroughly enjoyed it. The room was immaculate and the size of a 2 bed/2 bath apartment with full size kitchen appliances, and there’s an array of dishes, utensils, etc. We didn’t use the stove/oven, but the fridge and microwave got a workout with our leftovers. The table seated 4 nicely. The ice maker in the freezer was an unexpected treat, as we didn’t have to traipse the hall searching for ice. The living area was comfortable and 3 big tv’s allowed us more entertainment choices than usual in a hotel. Both bedrooms were spacious and well-appointed. The beds were very comfortable and clean. Even the duvets were freshly laundered! The bath area was perfect, as well as the huge closets and mirror placements. A small family could comfortably live here! We didn’t use the inviting pool, outdoor area, bar, or common areas due to the brevity of our stay, but will next time. Breakfast was over the top compared to other hotel breakfast buffets. Steaming scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, as well as cereal, yogurt and toppings, and waffle irons. There was a variety of juices, tea and coffee accompanied by more cream and sweetening choices than usual. The dining area was clean, and the attendants were helpful and friendly. They kept everything warm and freshened. We started breakfast at 9:15, noting that breakfast was over at 10. We were never rushed and couldn’t ask for any better. Checkout was fast, accurate and friendly. Apparently the manager, Amanda Acosta, is doing an amazing job. The awards behind the front desk and our overall experience confirm that. Every business has occasional mistakes, and none are more glaring than restaurant and hotel guest comments on a review site. Look at the overall reviews and consider the ratio of happy guests (even those who don’t leave comments or ratings) to the few who experience problems. I don’t think it’s fair to post complaints that weren’t brought to the attention of hotel staff or were rectified promptly. This hotel staff is doing it right! We’ve spent many nights in various chains and resorts across the US. This hotel is by far in the top 3. Thanks for a great weekend, Residence Inn Towne Centre staff!

Checking in was a breeze, the good part ends there. Room was filthy with paper, coins, earrings, nail clippings, hair and more on the floors! Pullout bed was disabled and we were counting on it. The very friendly front desk staff offered a rollaway that came with the corner ripped open and dirty foam exposed. Beds are overused and terrible. Contacting management tomorrow. Such a waste to be in a great area. Stay somewhere else!

We stayed for a night last week. (A few days before Christmas.) Found this Residence Inn to be very comfortable and clean. Had a nice breakfast the next morning. It seems to be in a nice part of Baton Rouge, with lots of shopping near by.

We were on a trip to Texas and saw the nice reviews here and decided to try it. We loved it!!! The suite was spacious and very comfortable with a full kitchen. Also had probably the best complimentary breakfast we've ever had!! Waffle makers with dozens of choices for toppings!! And a large variety of food. The staff was also very nice and the location is in walking distance to several restaurants and a Starbucks. Will definitely stay here again if the need arises!

Great location, Kind staff, clean grounds. This property has had some use and is weathered a little bit. I picked this property because I’m a rewards member with Marriott and this is the halfway point for our Thanksgiving trip. It also had a friendly policy with a $75 fee. It was late so when we pulled back the bed that ment my teenager had to sleep with me in that king-size bed. The Marriott bed even with age can be rough with a teen. We made due! Wasn’t what I was expecting at a Marriott.

The first night stay I️ had to move rooms due to rattling water pipes in the wall. (At 1AM) The front desk staff replied with “ yes, we have that complaint all the time.. let me move you.” After I️ completed my move, (at 1 AM), the AC did not work. I️ took a shower w/a moldy shower curtain liner. When I️ left for business the second day, I️ informed the front desk that the AC didn’t work and the liner needed to be replaced. Her response was, “we can move you to another room.” “No mam” was my reply, “for the price I’m paying a night, this facility should be capable of meeting my expectations of a working AC unit and non-mildewed shower liner.” The liner was replaced but still no AC the second night. My final nights stay I️ was was awakened at 4 AM by the room above me having a wrestling match in their living room. Needless to say, I️ WILL NEVER STAY HETE AGAIN!!!!!!!

Once a year our family travels to Pensacola Beach, Florida, for a week of fun in the sun. Our half-way stop along the journey is Baton Rouge and the Residence Inn Towne Center at Cedar Lodge. It's a great hotel with a lot of shopping and restaurants in the area. We get a 2 bedroom suite with a kitchen and have a blast with all our grandkids. Easy to get to and the staff is friendly and very accommodating.

Great location, clean, staff was very helpful, pleasant and professional, and took care of our special requests. Located walking distance of very nice shopping area and many restaurants. Newk's and Starbucks and Books a Million next to it.

I love the Marriott chain and this was a new property for us. Beautiful, spacious rooms good sofa bed. Overall top class accommodation. And we booked at short notice too. Free breakfast. Next to a Starbucks and shopping plaza if someone wanted an extended stay
