Decided that I needed a luxury vacation away from my hard knock life and hit the nail on the head with a 2 nite stay here as a grand finale to my Alberta trip. The room was truly beautiful and the service excellent. The view was unbelievable. my favorite part was that they gave me flowers with my room service and the BEST cheesecake Ive ever had. Im a simple girl. While I wouldn't take back my stay here for anything and feel like it was exactly what I was looking for, I however plan to stay here again because honestly its just too fancy for me and very congested with folks of a fancier persuasion. Ill just go camping next time for free where I can truly connect with the mountains. Im very weird though. If you are somebody who wants an unforgettable, luxurious alpine experience with an unparalleled view this is THE place for you. Cant stress enough how friendly the staff is.

Lots of tour busses with many people roaming around the hotel and grounds. Room was nice but not extravagant. Service was excellent all around. Food was good but not a stand out. If you're traveling to see the blue lake go in July. About a 10 minute drive to Lake louise ski resort.

Stayed in January. "Winter Wonderland" at its finest! Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Ice skating on the iconic lake is definitely not to be missed. Surrounding views are absolutely breathtaking with the snow covered mountains and trees.

The Fairmont has met and exceeded my usual expectations at this location. The outstanding proximity to the lake, world-class hiking and glacial views are second to none. The Fairmont always makes us feel appreciated!

Great hotel. Amazing view. Parking and dinner were over priced. But the view more than makes up for it.

Special mention to Florence Chen who assisted us during our stay. She made our trip very memorable. Her warm hospitality immediately made us feel at home. The staff at the Gold Lounge were friendly. We stayed at the Gold Fairmont Lakeview. The scenery is just amazing. My wife couldn't asked for more. We are looking forward to see the place again in spring fall. Must go place and this is the hotel where you want to be in Lake Louise.

The historic Fairmont Lake Louise was all that we had hoped for and more. Our room overlooked lake Louise with its' incredible tourquoise blue water. It was a very comfortable room, with a great sitting area overlooking the front of the hotel and lake. Flowers were everywhere and exceptional. The only down side was that unknown to us the hotel is not totally air conditioned, and although not horrible hot we did ask for and received a room air conditioner, which solved the problem. The staff seemed very eager to please. The food was good at the top two restaurants. We really enjoyed ourselves at this charming and historic hotel

The scenery is incredible - postcard picture perfect. This more than makes up for the comfortable but relatively small rooms which do not have air conditioning unless requested in which case you are given a portable unit with a hose sticking out the window and is very noisy! But the hotel is very elegant. Food at all restaurants fabulous. And the service is outstanding. You are paying for the location, for us, well worth it. If you are up for one of the best albeit challenging hikes you will ever experience, do the Fairview Mountain trail all the way to the summit. Allow 5+ hours. Absolutely incredible! The sunrise canoe experience at the hotel is another must-do, well worth the 5am wakeup!

the only place to see the lake louise view and access the hiking trails

A wonderful experience for our anniversary! We enjoyed every minute.

The hotel setting, staff and experience was a memory we will never forget.

Great hotel, but a bit too warm in room. Could not sleep well.

My wife and I had a wonderful time. The rooms are small, but the view is spectacular. Be sure to go out and see the lake early in the morning when it is perfectly still and reflective of the beautiful surrounding mountains.

I had read great reviews about this hotel and mostly it stayed true to what I had heard. The staff in the restaurants and bar were absolutely amazing. They were extremely customer focused. Bad points of the hotel were that when you pay more than $250 per night you should have access to wifi, free parking and a blow dry in your room! My uncle stayed in the gold floors and he had free wifi but not us cuz we paid less! That was appalling. There was no hair dry in the room and while checking out we said that to the front staff. All they said was 'oh'. The hotel has so much potential and such amazing staff in restaurants why not make it a wow stay than just good?

My daughter and myself spent about 24 hours at Chateau Louise-an elegant and lovely hotel, although very pricey. In the morning we were awoken by hallway noise that did not cease. We finally gave up, got up and when opening the door found no carpet in the hall, wallpaper being torn down and light fixtures being removed. Not quite expected for the price...no notice or warning given either. We do understand that hotels need to be renovated periodically, but perhaps keep guests off if those floors....

We spent 3 nights at the hotel celebrating a special occasion and were extremely impressed! First of all, the biggest surprise was the renovated rooms (photos of which are NOT posted on any website). On our floor (4), many Standard King-bed rooms (even with the cheaper Mountain view) had brand new decor and furniture, which we loved! It was hard to leave the room at times. Second of all, we really enjoyed the restaurants. Although quite pricy at times, the food was very unique and of very good quality. A few restaurants have outdoor patios and most come with an amazing view. The 3-course fondue dinner at Walliser Stube was definitely worth splurging on! In our experience, the staff were very accommodating and caring, except on one occasion (hence, a 4-star rating in that category). All in all, an excellent hotel with amazing location and lots of character. Will definitely go back!

Such a beautiful location. The staff at this hotel truly made this a memorable stay. Wonderful, attentive people throughout the hotel.

Everything in this hotel is perfect, and staffs are very nice.

spent 4 days here for my birthday. My husband and I were really happy and relaxed..heavenly, amazing, spectacular....the only thing I noticed, there's no clock in the room, which is not really a big deal..we had a good time.. i wished they gave me a birthday treat or surprise or something..maybe for my next birthday!

great hotel, nice staff! food was good, front desk was nice. everything was great!
