The rooms heater/ air conditioner was not working. The balcony door was stuck and rusted hence was not accessible either. It was very difficult to sleep through the night as the room got very stuffy. When speaking to the staff member they were not very helpful about it! Disappointed!

Great place, just regular place to stay dont expect any luxury, if you are not picky this is place for you. Walkable and convenient location.

It's an old dated hotel, but very well run and very clean. Great location and I'd highly recommend it.

We were on a camping trip and decided to get a hotel to refresh for a couple days. We wanted to sleep in some decent beds and take some showers. In all honesty we would have been better off sleeping on the ground and washing off with moist towelettes. The bed was insanely hard with nasty two toned sheets, the shower wouldn’t drain while showering and there was a bunch of previous hair still in the tub that wouldn’t go away. I didn’t take a shower the next day because I felt dirty when I got out of the first one. I went up to the desk to ask if I could cancel the second night because it was still within a 24 hour window and they informed me they would have to charge us a fee for leaving. I couldn’t believe that was the case so we just left the hotel room without checking out until the next day.

The Bow View Lodge is right across the street from the beautiful Bow River with immediate access to canoe rentals and some great trails for hiking, running, and biking. The Lodge is clean, quiet, and within easy walking distance to stores, shops, and restaurants. There's nothing fancy about the hotel, but it absolutely did the job for our family during our four days in Banff.

Walkable location to all the downtown shops and restaurants. The partnership with Banff Park Lodge next door was needed, as parking was hard to come by and BPL had the pool and jacuzzi. Rooms as you would expect for a hotel.

The Bow View was easy and fast check in. I was placed in a room right next to the elevator overlooking the parking lot which definitely wasn't ideal, although I was surprised to find it fairly quiet. If people are making noise in the hall or the parking lot it was very loud, however. The room was simple, but very clean and comfortable. It is definitely outdated, but for the price I didn't expect much better. Hot tub in the adjacent hotel was excellent, although a little awkward to walk to. The location is amazing!! I hiked the Bow river trail, all through town, and even to the top of Tunnel Mtn all right from the hotel. I never used my car to go to dinner or shopping around town. Parking was a bit of a craziness here, so once I got parked I preferred not to move my car, although I really didn't need to anyway!! Overall, I would definitely stay again.

The location of the hotel is excellent. The Bow river is right next to it. Our room was facing the Bow river. It has the great mountain and river view. The room was ready and clean. The facility was old but it was kept in nice and clean condition. The staff was very friendly and welcoming.

Average but above average location wise. Right in heart of banff.

Good proximity to Banff right along Bow river trail.

easy walk to downtown.....parking is a bit scarce.

Enjoyed our stay at Bow View Lodge. Beautiful setting overlooking the Bow River, and within walking distance of the picturesque town of Banff. Only drawbacks were limited parking and no breakfast included, but definitely a great place to stay.

Bow View Lodge is located right across the street from the Bow River and is a block from all of the main Banff attractions on Bear Street and Banff Avenue. The room was clean and comfortable.

The room has dated furniture, but it's clean and beds are very comfortable. That's all we need after a tiring day of hiking. The sister hotel next door has nice Jacuzzi, seam room and pool that we can use. The location is convenient to restaurants.

Beware of the train horn sounds which blast all night long.

Close to town center, perfect if you're always outside enjoying the area and hardly in the room.

This is a lovely lodge with a great view. It is in a very relaxing, quiet location, yet it convenient to downtown Banff. The room was clean and comfortable. I enjoyed my stay and highly recommend this lodge to others,

We started our roundtrip in Banff an stayed two nights in the hotel. It was very clean and cosy.

Bed mattresses were too hard. Unhappy that the hotel charges ONE DOLLAR for each LOCAL call. Staff helpful. Housekeeping did a good job. Would have been nice to include, at least, a continental breakfast.
