Check-in was daunting. The lobby's security was tighter than most police stations, with thick plexiglass covering the front desk area so that you had to slide ID and credit cards under the glass and secure cutouts in the window so the clerk could speak to you just like one would find in a high security facility. Gives one the idea that maybe a previous clerk was attacked or that the area is dicey. The rooms had no shampoo or Kleenex and the bed was clearly past its prime. The hotel is also 6 miles from the highway.
