My family and I stayed at this location as part of a longer roadtrip up I-95. We arrived very late at night and were given the last room available, which ended up being a handicap accessible room right next to the front lobby. The hotel staff was great and everyone from the concierge to the cleaning staff met us with a smile and a greeting. The room itself left a lot to be desired however, as it was evident that it was pretty dated. Additionally, there were a few maintenance issues with patched holes in the wall not having been repainted yet and shower drain issues leading to some slight ponding in the bathroom. Most unsettling was a layer of dust on the horizontal surfaces above roughly 5'6". Overall, had we not been given this particular room and instead one with a fresh coat of paint and a normal shower, this would have likely been a 4/5 review. Unfortunately, we were not given such a room and we had a few too many issues with the room to overlook.
Not for the location, not for the price, but because the staff were so friendly and helpful when I got stranded there for the week, I was literally treated like family. We will be staying there next time we go to Ft. Meade area for business. I'm so impressed with this hotel, I'm emailing Hilton directly.
The day staff is much nicer than the night staff although on rare occasions they swap and you can just imagine what that means for the service. The rooms seem clean but they could smell fresher... had to switch rooms in the middle of the night (after just checking in and unpacking) because of none of the outlets in my room worked...the AC in my parents room was busted and upon checking out I was told there was a special trick to making it work???? (Rm203) the pool was closed for the season on a very hot day I'm being very critical here because I loved this place over the years I've watched it decline and I'm disappointed.
I have stayed at this property a total of over 60 days in the last two years. While there is much competition, I keep coming back. This is,of course, a Hampton Inn, and so it is not luxurious, but itisgreat forabusiness stay, especially if your job requires early hours (breakfast starts a six). The owner/manager and all his staff are attentive and helpful. They make you feel right at home. The rooms and the rest of the property are scrupulously maintained. It is well located for access to restaurants and shopping, with local and chain restaurants walkable. I travel extensively on business, and there are very few places I always stay, but this Hampton is one of them. (Note: reserve as early as possible, this is very busy)
Staff was attentive when solicited, rooms were cleaned every day. Hotel maintenance in general could have been better such as cleaning hallways and elevator daily. Breakfast was a slight upgrade from continental with a decent variety. The availability of coffee and hot water for tea or hot chocolate 24/7 was nice.
The overall of this hotel is perfect! Breakfast may need a little be more variety, but it was delicious. Staff is very polite and helpful. Installations are clean and accessible. Restaurants are very close by and the highways are around the corner. Very quite neighborhood.
Stayed for 3 nights in a 2 queens room on first floor. The room was quite good. Not very large but it would be fine for a family carrying say one large bag. Bathroom was well maintained, was cleaned well every day and with ample supplies. The work desk next to the TV is very useful. Ample electric outlets to charge stuff. Liked their breakfast options. They also have a tea/coffee station in the lobby. During our stay the hotel was very crowded and they seemed to have trouble cleaning up and restocking quickly enough when a large group of people used the coffee station. But it wasn't a big problem and if you waited a while it would be done. So overall a good experience. Beds were comfortable. Internet speed was fine. They have a pool which we didn't end up using. The staff isn't very chatty but they do their jobs effectively. This hotel is nicely located with lots of stores and restaurants close by. Not so good part? The small fridge did not have a deep freezer, preventing us from bringing frozen stuff to store during our stay. Why not have at least a small section enough to keep a couple of items? An on-site laundry would help in longer stays.
My cousin got married in Laurel in August and the family chose this hotel for our stay. Location was perfect for the wedding venue, beds were comfortable. Breakfast was okay but not lots of variety. Plastic plates and plastic cutlery however guess it's expected for the standard of the hotel. One major issue I had was that we arrived very late on the Friday night with two hungry children and we were starving, and found it outrageous that the hotel couldn't provide us with food. We had to order pizza that was delivered to the hotel. All in all, our stay was okay however would not be staying here again
My family and I had a very pleasant stay. The service at the front desk was great, location was superb for us regarding our agenda. Our entire weekend was an awesome one. We are very thankful that we found such a great hotel with a great location and was greeted with the lots of kindness and respect... Thanks
The rooms have been upgraded in recent years, the breakfast is pretty decent, and the staff is very nice and friendly. There is an outdoor pool and a small, clean gym (1 treadmill, 1 eliptical, and dumbbells up to only 30 lbs). A bunch of food options around and a grocery store. WiFi is fast enough and plenty of TV options. Good prices.
