Room reeked of cigarette smoke! Very old hotel. Great location just needs to be updated

most trouble i have had is on this review as the typing of my responses sometime takes and many other times it does not making typing this review very difficult and time consuming

I was happy to attempt to write a review but your site kept me from completing. I had most contact with Assimi the general manager. she was most helpful in aswiwting me in several ways. thanks to her.

I am on a really tight budget and was visiting a grad program, this motel was most conveniently located. I didn't find any bed bugs in the room so that was nice and pretty much all I can ask for considering the cost. The a/c was on in the room which we were super thankful for. The staff was friendly, but the office smelled bad. Otherwise it's sketchy, the furniture was moldy and the tv was from 1999 and the walls and ceilings were gross. But beggars can't be choosers I guess so I guess if you're on a pretty tight budget this will do, considering you don't find bed bugs.

It's OK. It's very basic, this motel, but it's clean. And it's close to the Medical Center.

This Econo Lodge is directly across the street from the MCG/GRU hospital campus. I booked a room at this location since I was visiting an ill relative at the hospital so it looked like the most convenient option. The whole place looks like it could use a remodel/update. I stayed in room 107, which looked like someone had repainted the walls recently, but the carpet in the room looked very old and the bed was severely worn out. One side was collapsed from old age and the other side was lumpy and uneven, with the springs obviously at various stages of deterioration. The box spring/mattress complained loudly any time you rolled over or got into/out of the bed, and it was so hard it made sleeping somewhat difficult. Three small pillows were included on the king size bed, which all seemed to be worn out and uncomfortable as well. The room smelled like it was possibly a smoking room at some point but had been converted to a non-smoking room, with a slight lingering cigarette odor and a general musty "old building" smell. The walls must be very thin as well, because you can hear every time someone turns on a tv or opens a door anywhere in the building. Since it was quite cold on the night of our stay, we turned on the heater in the room. It had evidently not been cleaned in ages and smelled so badly of burning dust we had to turn it back off and open the door for a few minutes to let the stink escape. The room also had two cheap, nasty chairs that were in need of disposal in the nearest dumpster due to the years of dirt, grime, and holes burned in the cushions from cigarettes over the ages. Room 107 is also in the middle of the building in a corner area that has vending/ice machines which may cause increased noise levels. The ice machine was not working at all, but the clerk at the front desk gave us some ice from bags they had in the office and said the ice machine would be repaired as soon as the parts for it came in. The room had a working microwave and small refrigerator, but no coffee maker which was somewhat disappointing. On a more positive note, the bathroom looked clean aside from one severly discolored towel that was probably ready for the dumpster (the one you put on the floor so it wasn't that big of a deal), and the bed sheets smelled clean (although they made my wife itch all over - possibly something to do with the detergent they were washed with). The staff were friendly and made notes of the problems I told them about at checkout time. Hopefully they will remodel this hotel at some point or at least replace the worn out beds, but until then I would not be able to recommend this hotel due to the inability to sleep on worn out bedding/possible back trouble that could be caused by same. I realize this isn't an upscale hotel by any means, but I have stayed at Econo Lodge in other locations around the country without these issues on several occasions.

I had a quiet night. The room was clean, but had a lot of holes covered in plaster. I wanted to stay close to the medical center for a cheap rate, and I would do it again.

People were very nice. Lobby looked new. There were many room problems as follows: Electric outlets not working, plaster patches on walls, shower rod falling, toilet paper dispenser broken, toilet seat painted/needs replacing, carpet not cleaned, clothes shelf loose and falling, wall sconce not working, paint on curtains, place needs some serious TLC!

Read some bad reviews but the stay was good. No issues and room was very clean. had a single king room, no smoking.

The accomendations were pleasing. The only problem I had, Was the rates were extremely over priced for the area that I was in. Other than that it was in a good location, clean, & quiet.

I came to GA in the winter. The heater kept me warm all night. The shower was hot. The TV had all the channels you could think of. They even had breakfast in the morning. However after about 10ish i could not get anyone to pick up the phone so that i could place a wake up call. Besides that i had a great 2 night stay.

We visited Econo Lodge in Augusta while attending MCG for testing. The staff was semi-friendly, while the room was filthy. The shower was leaky, the toliet ran all night, not to mention the following morning while packing, we noticed dried blood on the comforter. Even after notifying the staff, it didn't seem to be a big deal. Would never recommend this hotel in the future!!!!!

I went to Augusta, GA for an interview for a job as a physician. The hotel room was not very clean. Really, the hotel in general was sort of run down. There was no coffee maker or iron in the room.
