We loved our stay at the student hotel. It was so fun! Laundry facilities were a bonus. Location was easy for access to metro. Staff were friendly. Didn’t like the restaurant at the hotel but wouldn’t stop me staying again. Bed was super comfortable and very dark overnight.

The hotel wasnt too bad overall however i must state that upon arrival we checked in and was given the room key, however we didnt get the "superior" room we payed for. I then spoke with the receptionist who informed me that i did not get that room as my stay was less than 2 weeks. Even though that was what i had payed for?. After some discussion i was moved to a "superior" room located on the ground floor. The room was better so no problem. The following morning we was awoken by an alarm being set off throughout the whole building. There was no communincation as to what was happening?.. I then gathered from a confused receptionist that it must had been a first aid incident as she walked away with a forst aid bag. This happend 2 mornings out of our 5 night stay :( the resturant is set out lovely and all were very friendly. The food was ok.. But only ate in the hotel the once. The hotel was very clean. Great location if you want to stay slightly out of the centre.

I stayed at The Student Hotel Amsterdam City as a solo traveller and felt very safe and the staff were very friendly and attentive. The hotel is clean and modern, and my room had a very comfortable bed, hot shower with good pressure, coffee maker, bottled water, a hairdryer, as well as climate control and free wifi that never dropped out. It had everything you would need for a stay! The location is not right in the very centre of the city, but it is only a minute away from the metro, and takes only 5 minutes by metro to get to the Centraal Station. Despite being on a big road, the hotel was very quiet and I got a very good quality of sleep. The hotel also has a restaurant and bar attached, and is within walking distance of a supermarket, so it is easy to either socialise or get food. My only (very minor) complaint would be that my room was a little cold (it was -4 outside and very windy). Even with the heating turned to the top level I was a little too cold for comfort. However, when I called to reception for extra blankets they were brought to my room within 10 minutes and I was very warm after that, so was very satisfied! Overall would definitely recommend this hotel for those looking to stay in Amsterdam, especially as a solo traveller. It's clean, modern, with a good location and very helpful staff.

Great place- loved the vibe ! The art, decor and staff were all amazing, and really appreciated the gym as a business traveler. Ayesha at the front desk was especially nice and helpful. Breakfast was pricey, but there are plenty of spots around the hotel to grab a bite.

Very nice hotel, young people everywhere. We found our suite to be very comfortable, we appreciated the coffee maker and tee enclosed in the room, available at any time, the big window with view to the city

A shining diamond 💍 amongst the standard boring hotels on a city break. Take it from us it’s something truly unique. From chill out areas to the hustle and bustle of the fantastic bar you will find exactly what your looking for at the Student Hotel. Makes me want to go back to college.

loved the stay in the hotel. it is designed in a very nice way and is situated in a former nightclub which i visited twice. It is very nice to see what they have done with it and i'm for sure coming back!

When the weather is bad outside, we can play inside the hotel lobby. Or we can jump into the metro station very nearby to quickly get to our indoor destination. It is very convenient to go to anywhere in the city center. We also enjoyed the gym. The breakfast is not bad. Did not try the bar yet. Maybe next time.

Very convenient location, close to subway. Cool details. Welcoming atmosphere. The only thing that was missing for me was the homey touch of the room that I stayed it felt distant and cold . I wish there would be more textures of warmth

Stayed here for 2 nights 1st-3rd of December. All the staff we very friendly and helpful with any questions we had. Games room is really good, spent a lot of time on the ping pong tables and only 2-3 stops on the train into the main city centre. Would love to return again. Very quirky hotel, a bit different from any other!
