Charming old building in convenient location. Stayed here for business but it would also be a good departure point for shopping and sight-seeing.

Great value for the price. Located right in center of town in the city tram lines. You can walk just about everywhere right from the hotel.

Three words - location, location, location! The hotel is just off Dam Square and a short walk to Central Station. The suites on the 6th floor are roomy with a comfortable bed, separate sitting area with leather chairs and sofa.

Great location - 50 meters from Dam, we a lot of bars, cafes, shopping, 10 minute walk from central station, tram station in front of the hotel Big and clean rooms, excellent from desk service, good breakfast good quality and diversity

This place is great!! You get what you pay for entirely! Clean, comfortable.and the staff are very friendly. The location is perfect! Stay here!

Nice hotel. Amazing location. Good staff. But we asked for double bed and there wasnt. Only 2 singles combined together. In all the hotel rooms its the same they said beside only few rooms. So its not that good for couples

Nice hotel in the middle of the shopping district...easy walking to almost everything or a short tram ride. For an old European hotel it is nice , staff was super friendly and helpful. The room was sufficient with nice remodeled bath and stand up shower. Restaurant has good food but breakfast is overpriced if not included in room package .

- The floors seemed to move (due to being an old building??), which made me feel a little bit dizzy. - Staff were friendly. - Good location and near public transportation stops. - I asked for a room facing back to avoid street noise. It was good. - For around $150 a night, it was Okay.

2nd visit to DIe Port and would return. Excellent service, close to everything that you would want to visit. Tram station right outside to get you to the rest.

Worst 4 night stay ever. Room is small and confined. No sound proofing in the room whatsoever can hear people walking on the creepy old floor as well as zooming car and motorcycle noises from the street all night long. The beds are extremely uncomfortable mattresses shows severe sagging in the middle and should have been replaced long ago. Staff didn't give a care nor apologize for the bed condition when reported.

good trip experience for Amsterdam quicly visit and for frequently travellers. we recomend for the next flight

Die Port is only a ten minute walk from the central train station, a five minute tram ride from the Rijksmuseum and near many restaurants and other attractions. Unfortunately, this historic property is in need of major renovation. Our first room was dark and cramped; neither the Wi-Fi nor the TV worked. The very responsive staff moved us to a much nicer room with a working TV, but no heat (remedied quickly with a space heater). Apparently, the Wi-Fi works only in the lobby. We felt sorry for the staff who tried to be responsive but were obviously stymied by management that simply doesn't care about their guests' comfort and convenience.

In the brochure they say shuttle service to airport, but they could not pick us up. Room was very small.

We booked this hotel online and had a WONDERFUL experience. The beds were clean and comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and impeccably clean. The WiFi helped us to stay in touch with friends and family stateside. I would stay here again on trips to Amsterdam.

Location was great and staff was very helpful in recommending and helping us get reservations. Use their recommended restaurant list it would be nice if they had a weight room and also for a single sheet for those who don't like the duvet.

This hotel was great! The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The dinner in the hotel restaurant was excellent, with great service. The hotel is conveniently located in downtown, an easy 20-minute walk from Central Train Station. The room was small (some might say cramped) but well-equipped and very clean. We were very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Amsterdam.

Aside from the tram track construction happening directly in front of the hotel, it was perfect. My 11-year old son and I walked from Centraal station to the hotel with our baggage - easy and close!! It is the perfect location for sight seeing, shopping, museums, etc. the room was small but comfortable, extremely clean, and perfect for jet-lagging travelers. The staff is fabulous and the breakfast was delicious. Great location, great staff, clean, lovely. Enjoy your stay!!

Would definitely stay here again. Great Dutch ambiance in the old Heineken Brewery. Right near the Dam. Breakfast is a little expensive.

Stayed here twice now...great staff, location. Small room but adequate and pleasant.

Although we had fully prepaid our room two months before arriving, we were surprised when we got there with the news that they had overbooked the hotel and we had to stay the first night in a different hotel way out of town. Therefore, out of our two night stay, we spent each in a different hotel and had to spend our little time in Amsterdam moving from one hotel to the other rather than enjoying the city sights. Never received any apologies from the manager nor any compensation for our inconvenience.
