This is the most expensive hotel I have never stayed at. Due to a booking error (using Booking.com with multiple tabs open searching many properties at once) I accidentally booked the wrong date. In fact it was for a date I would not even be anywhere in Europe. I caught my mistake right away, and notified both Booking.com and appealed to the hotel directly three times! I even sent the hotel my travel itinerary so they could see the mistake. The duration between making the mistake and trying to correct it was exactly 8 minutes! E I G H T M I N U T E S !!! The hotel didn't show any sympathy. The hotel charged almost $600.00 for absolutely nothing. They had no availability on the night I was laying ober at Shipol. I had to stay somewhere else for another $600.00. I am thoroughly disgusted by the way the Dutch treated me and I will never set foot in that nasty place called Amsterdam.
The hotel is located near the Amsterdam Central Station. The room is very clean and comfortable. The wifi connection is very good. The staffs are very friendly. We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel.
We loved staying here, the hotel was beautiful with fantastic facilities. The staff were great and we were offered a free upgrade on arrival. Would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious hotel at a good price.
central hotel in front of central station and near tram/bus stop. friendly .modern. good service on reception and breakfast room. good cleanliness.good breakfast.nice bar.wifi. safe in the room. king bed. facilities in room and frigo bar. 1 bottle mineral water is offered by hotel
We stayed here for 3 nights and were over the moon! The hotel is so central it's perfectly located and the staff were so helpful. The swimming pool and sauna are amazing, we pretty much got it all to ourselves one day! The breakfast which is included in the stay was so good, eggs royale is not a dish you usually get offered for breakfast included in the price. I read reviews on here prior to our stay saying that it is too noisey at night, but we didn't have that problem at all! The room was luxurious. I would most definitely stay here again if/when I go back to Amsterdam and will recommend.
This is a great hotel directly opposite the Central Station so ideally placed for all of the local sights. The rooms are very good and the staff are 1st class. I would choose this hotel if you want a little luxury if you don't mind spending a bit more.
We had a great time in Amsterdam as we had selected a city centre hotel. The hotel is very modern & has very well furnished rooms. The breakfast was excellent. The restaurant menu was rather limited but the food was good. The service was outstanding & the hotel staff was the best we have met in a long time. Reception, concierge staff were really helpful & pleasant to deal with. The only negative comment is regarding the view from the room -basically no view. Try to get a room in the front of the building on a higher floor.
This hotel is in a strategic location just across the main train station. The brilliant harmony between the interior redecoration and the theme of art sculptures is mind blowing. This is evident even in the finest detail such as the carpet design. The theme has to do with "the evolution of life" with its daunting lessons we all come to realize. Being able to achieve such a powerful design impact on the inside while preserving the exterior shell of the historic building is a fantastic work of art. This is on top of the friendly hospitality, fine dining and comfortable lavish rooms.
I've reviewed quite a lot of hotels.. Artotel was in an amazing location but that was also why it was ruined. The hotel room we had was on the 4th floor in front of the main train station. The thuds from the track got in easily and the bells as well. Room service was excellent. The cleaning service hotel services check-in and check out were average. To summarize.. if you want to sleep and not pay with an arm and a foot go elsewhere. Rooms are small including the junior suite. Wouldn't recommend this or do it to myself again. Price is the defining factor as all the neighbouring hotels charge less or the same for a quieter experience..
Fantastic holiday in wonderful hotel with marvellous staff. Excellent location for Schipol via Central station. Recommend the breakfast, and the pool and sauna are bliss after a long day walking around this wonderful city. Staff on reception are exceptional - nothing is too much trouble. Would definitely use this hotel if in Amsterdam again.
