We stayed here as a family of 4 (kids 11 &10), the check in was great, friendly and helpful and quick. Our room was a masterpiece suite which was great, the only downside was the very strange noises every night around 3am, I am a very deep sleeper but they woke me up on a couple of occasions. The location is fantastic right across from Central Station and within walking distance from most attractions. The breakfast was very good, freshly cooked dishes as other reviews have stated they are served on small plates but perfectly satisfying and delicious, they did forget my coffee on one occasion but no problems. The fitness centre looked good, the pool is quite small. I found all the staff friendly and helpful and would stay here again.

We stayed here last week during our trip to Amsterdam to celebrate my Partner's 40th birthday, the location is perfect directly across from the Central train station. We were greeted very warmly and kindly upgraded to a room with iconic view which was a lovely touch (I had been in touch with the hotel the day before to organise to have a cake in our room for check-in and they were extremely helpful & pleasant then also), the guy checking us in was very helpful regarding the area, sights etc and spent some time giving us an idea of what was around us. All in all the reception/check-in staff were on point and always very welcoming. We stayed in Room 1006 which was spacious and spotlessly clean, very comfortable bed, gorgeous bathroom (great rain shower) and fab view over the central area. They had placed the cake I ordered in our room along with a balloon and a little personal note with two vouchers for free cocktails which was a lovely touch (but you had to book a table at the bar to avail of them!), the cake tasted amazing!!! I so wanted to give this hotel a 5 star rating but unfortunately the experience at breakfast the next morning let it down, we were greeted very promptly and shown to a table, but it went wrong after that! It took quite a long time for someone to take our coffee order, we then had to re-order with the guy that came to take our breakfast order, when the waitress did come it was the wrong order and when we tried to explain this we were greeted with a "well did you order this or not", we finally got the right order after another wait, when breakfast arrived it was nearly cold and served on quite small plates so need to be careful when cutting anything but tasted great. We then had to place a further two orders before we received another cup of coffee, (the staff seemed a little shocked that we ordered a second cup!) we both enjoy a few cups of coffee in the morning to get us going and have never felt like we shouldn't be ordering a further cup at a hotel before!! Again it took a while before we received them. There was a great selection as a buffet option, in particular the pastries tasted great. All in all we had a great stay and the breakfast problems wouldn't put me off staying again, which we can hopefully be doing on our return to Amsterdam!

From the moment we arrived the staff was friendly and very helpful, each time we approached one of them they were always ready to help. They made some great recommendations for dinner and things to do. The rooms were quite comfortable and spacious, there were two girls to each room i.e. lots of stuff and we were able to move about quite comfortably. The rain shower head in bathroom was awesome and extremely relaxing and the bathroom was the perfect size for two for us to get ready at once. The hotel was centrally located to everything including being across the street from the Centraal station, making it convenient as we were departing for Paris via train after a couple of days in Amsterdam. The hotel has a pool, fitness center, sauna, bar and restaurant. We had a delicious breakfast at the restaurant every morning and had creative drinks in the bar at night. I would recommend this hotel to anyone planning a visit to Amsterdam, I had a friend come and spend time with us while we were visiting (he lives in Amsterdam) he said we made an excellent choice for a place to stay. I couldn't agree with him more, Cheers, Art'otel Amsterdam you were fantastic!!!!

This hotel is located close to the central station, making it convenient. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. I love that they have a sense of humor. I was very surprised at how big the rooms were. My 6 nights here were very comfortable. The hotel has a pool, fitness center, and sauna. The hotel does have a bar and restaurant. Unfortunately we didn't have a chance to dine at the restaurant but the bar served some delicious drinks. They also offer free breakfast, which really hit the spot and was a great way to start every morning. They do rent bikes if you need it to get around, just be warned their bikes have an interesting decor that will surely get people to stop and chuckle ;). Overall, I would recommend to others and book a stay here when I come back.

We've stayed for four nights and the overall feeling is that it is a pleasent hotel, maybe not quite five stars. The convenient location is just in front of the Central Station, making it very close to everything but also very crowded. Hotel is lovely decorared, the rooms are nice and quite big for what you can usually find in Amsterdam and the bed was comfortable enough. I loved the modern bathroom because is has the toilet and shower separated, making it possible to be used by two peoples in the same time.  I do not have any major complains except that we were put in a room which is connected to another by a door. There were no issues in the first two nights, but in the third there was a very happy guy in the connecting room next to us that was talking and laughing all night long... and through that door we could hear everything.. . Luckily the next night was quite. Anyway, the rooms are not very well soundproofed, as you can hear everybody walking and talking on the hallways. Another issue, that we've considered it funny after all, is that every morning at breakfast they mixed up or forgot one of our orders. We were two couples and in the last day we were betting about whose order will be mistaken: one day they did not bring an omelette, another day they have brought one egg instead of two, other time they have brought the teapot but forgotten the tea...but we were in vacation and were not bothered about it. I have to mention that breakfast was very tasty and the eggs are prepared upon your choice. Overall, it was a good stay and, considering the prices in Amsterdam, it worth the money.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights in January excellent quality hotel directly across from central station main transport hub 15 min by train to airport. Lovely breakfast, provided umbrella for rain . Excellent quality

Stayed for 2 nights to celebrate my birthday. Hotel is extremely well located for the train station and walking distance to so many tourist sites. The room was lovely. First morning fire alarm went off at 6am which was quite annoying (luckily no fire). Breakfast is good for free - all hot food is served on a small side plate so it’s good that the buffet is good to fill you up. One of the reasons for booking this hotel was the spa area and pool - we went to use the facilities and the pool was drained. Nobody at the hotel had notified us of this which was really disappointing ... especially when we asked at the reception if towels were provided in the pool.... Overall very well located, with a good Italian restaurant just a couple of doors away. Nice rooms and cool hotel. The bar is also good with good choice of cocktails

As I start all reviews, please take a look and see how many hotels I've reviewed, I'm not a jaded one time traveler. I travel often and feel I have a good base to write a good overall review. Overall very lovely stay. This was our second time here and this stay was far and beyond better. The hotel has a “W” vibe. Super modern and hip. You can’t beat the location, it’s truly less than a 5 min walk from Central Station. All the staff speaks English and the price we paid was very reasonable. As other reviews mentioned, the room is modern but very clean. The Bathroom is not very private so if you are traveling with friends that could be an issue. Again, the bath is very modern but does lack a door. The room is very good size for Europe and well appointed. The TV options are sad, very few English channels and a little complicated to understand how to use. The lights are odd and if you have to use the toilet in the middle of the night you WILL wake the other person in the room. (a night light would be nice) For such a new hotel it’s shocking that the room isn’t have any USB ports. Its 2018, come on!! Breakfast room service is FREE! We did that one day and went to the buffet which is also free the other days. The buffet was much better than the room service, basically the same food but just fresh. I was very impressed with the buffet. We will 100% return to this property.

Right across from the central stTion this is a really convenient hotel for the trip from the Airport and to pick up trams or the metro all over the city. What struck me was how friendly and helpful the staff were with fab breakfasts and a lovely meal in the evening. The room had a large comfortable bed with all the extras you would expect in a top notch hotel. The hotel obviously prides itself on its art installations and design features which are spread through the hotel. The room though had little by way of natural light which I think is a shame - maybe best to check the location of your room when you book. Small niggle - very lovely design but could have some with some practicalities like a draw to put things in and bathroom lighting that didn't spread into the bedroom at night. Expensive but a real treat.

Just spent 3 nights at the art’hotel for my wedding anniversary. Great location for the station if you get a train in from the airport and everywhere is walkable (museums are 30 mins). Room was great with a really nice shower and the view over the square was very pleasant. Would happily go back again and probably will!
