Located near the convention centre outside Amsterdam city and well serviced by train, metro and tram. As a Spire Elite member (highest tier level) my room was upgraded. Good room and well laid out. However, housekeeping service is poor as they keep omitting replacing toiletries and consumables. We have to keep asking them on a daily basis. Service at the front desk is varied. There were great services like when we checked-in and the gentleman at the Reception (I think his name is Randy or Randal) gave very comprehensive service and good tips on restaurants, advance booking on Van Gogh museum, flight confirmation thru the internet etc. He even helped us to get all that done. However, not all front desk staff are the same. Some lack product / service knowledge, indifferent attitude and bordering to being rude. I am afraid overall I rate this HI property as "Poor" principally on the housekeeping and front desk service. Didn't get a "Terrible" because the room is good and the excellent service from Randy/Randal was the saving grace.
Good hotel, good breakfast, affordable parking, 20 . min to Dam square by tram. Nice big rooms Clean. A good option to stay in Amsterdam if you drive there since parking in the center is a nightmare On thing- the evening receptionist was rude. We had to call a few times (room service dinner, more towels, etc) and he was not very helpful That happens, but other than that- would stay there again. Very nice
We had nice training there . Hotel is clean , they have really good service . Nice restaurant with delicious food . Nice location , metro is just in two minutes walking distance. Reception is nice and very busy , but always smiling faces .
It was a $2000 diamond ring which she forgot to wear after morning shower and left it under the TV set. in the afternoon there was no ring! we searched every corner of the room and informed the hotel managers, but they just told us we are sorry!!! As it was our last day in Amsterdam/Netherlands, we didn't have much time to inform the police. I don't know who is able to go to travelers room in this hotel, and I accept we had to be more bewared of our properties, but sometimes it happens to forget something, and I my self won't go to such hotel whereas its staff might pick your mistakenly left valuable belongings, AND I SUGGEST YOU DON'T GO TO THESE KIND OF HOTELS EITHER! P.S. I wrote this review once, but strangely the review was omitted as I didn't respond to an email which was sent for confirmation! (first time in my all reviews!!!) So I asked TripAdvisor and they helped me in resubmitting the previous review. I can answer to any possible doubt via this email address: email@example.com
Excellent hotel, easy to get to via metro or tram 4. Friendly welcome on reception from Andrea. Executive room very comfortable, very good facilities and very clean. large comfortable bed. Excellent buffet breakfast and staff very friendly. Also ate in the restaurant and the food was first class with top notch service. Easy and hassle free check out. Will definitely stay here again if visiting Amsterdam.
Stayed here four nights while attending a conference at RAI which was about a 10-12 minute walk from the hotel. Had a really nice stay. I found the hotel staff to be very helpful and personable. The young lady tending the bar and Starbucks coffee area was always so happy and smiling! Acknowledged my status with two free drink coupons and a cup of coffee. Nice touches. Room was compact even though on the executive floor. No executive lounge which would have been nice. Bed was very comfy. Didn't get my room made up two of the four nights but turns out it was my fault. The new electronic locks require you to press the green button before leaving the room for the day. Otherwise, the red light apparently stays on and tells the housekeeping not to intrude! There was no sign or anything explaining this requirement, so I can see how people get mixed up. Tram #4 is indeed right out back of the hotel. Next to the tram pick-up is the Metro station which takes only about 10 minutes into Dam Square vs. the tram which takes 20-25 minutes. Tickets are easy to buy for both. I'd stay here again if attending a show at RAI. It's a bit far out for most touristic visits but I suppose some people would like that. My only other comment is that there are not any restaurants close-by. It's easily a 15-minute walk past the entire RAI center to find a restaurant zone which had plenty of really nice places to eat.
Entree good, congress facility is week organized. Restaurant , bar oke friendly service. The room big the bathroom needs an upgrade. Showering in the bathtub is not longer oke. It is even dangerous specially in the morning if you are not really awake yet. Parking on the hotel parking to small. Parking in the Q-park next to the hotel safe but very expensive. Had to pay 55 euro for les then 24 hours. They need to do something about it.
Only good thing about this hotel is it has a tram station right outside.Tram 4 take you to central station,it is a ride for 25 mins though. I checked in the hotel at 2 pm and around 3 pm a hotel employee just barged in my room despite dnd switch was on still he got inside ,could be a mistake so i didnt react but aftr 30 mins housekeeping staff again jus entered the room ..when i complaint the duty manager they wrote me an apology that this wouldnt be repeated and now comes the funny part in my 4 nights stay even with the signage of make my room on the door no body cleaned my room in the entire stay.MOST UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF IVE EVER COME ACROSS IN MY LIFE. Hotel is very old ,rooms and washrooms need renovation..would not recommend to stay in this hotel as its far and old construction. Prefered area to stay when in Amsterdam Remebrandt sqaure or near dam square.
Spent 3 nights with my wife here. Train from airport to station Rai (next to hotel) was only 10 mins. Hotel is next to tram terminus and around 25 min ride to central Amsterdam. Room was well equipped and perfect for us. Breakfast very good and staff rushed around to ensure it was well stocked. Bar was good and the barman was great fun. Discussed the best games for my son to try on his Xbox. Overall well impressed and will return again!
Look it's not in town. It's 25mins on tram or the metro. It's not hard to use the transport as the station is 3 mins away. As long as you know this....it's a nice hotel. I stayed on the executive floor and the rooms have been refurbished. They are clean bright and nice. Beds are big -- super kings. Breakfast is a bit expensive at euro 22 but it's a buffet. I liked it... would be happy to stay here again.
