I am very disappointed with trip advisor. This was my first time using it. I asked for a cot and was quoted extra for it. That’s the reason I agreed to the queen bed. My youngest agreed to sleep on the cot. There are 3 of us. Well I get here and there is no cot available so my daughter has to sleep on the FLOOR. Yeah I’m not a happy DISABLED mom right now. Also, I’m not too convinced we have a queen bed. I’m pretty sure it’s a full! I’m not sure I will use trip advisor anymore. That’s a shame! Carla Creech
We had a really cold week in January and our water froze at our house. We worked to try to fix the problem all day with no luck. I called to see if they had a room and was told to just come on, they had one for us. All four of us packed a bag and took off. The place was clean, quiet and everyone was nice. We all took a hot shower and had a great night sleep. Breakfast was a plus too. The Sleep Inn is very close to a lot of places to eat and shop but we all enjoyed the breakfast they had. So glad we stayed here. Once our water defrosted at our house we did have a busted water line but blessed to have a husband that is handy around the house.
Pretty good hotel. Clean, quiet, nice TV, speedy internet. No frills suitable to thuse frugal traveler such as myself. Typically cold breakfast stuff, waffle maker and microwaveables. Would be 4 Star rating instead of the 3 I’m giving if they didn’t loudly knock on my door with a clear do-not-disturb sign on my door. I had a previous long day and night, was trying to get as much shuteye as possible before hitting the road. One of the cleaning staff loudly knock on my door, I wake from a dream and deep slumber, stumbling, bewildered at the door. I look at her, look at the sign and give her a WTF look. She then says it’s custom if you’re checking out to knock on the door, period. What are these signs for decoration purposes only? Not only startled me into a headache for rest of the day, but put me in a foul mood. It’s your policy? Well then change it otherwise I’ll just at a hotel that won’t bug me. The only way she could’ve saved that is if she said one of two things: “Excuse me kindly sir, there’s a fire ravaging through the building, our fire alarm doesn’t work, so we’re patiently providing door-to-door service” OR “Excuse me sir, there’s a Halle Berry in the lobby and she says she wants to spend the next hour in your hotel room. I apologize for interrupting is that okay?” Screw your DND policy, screw it hard.
The hotel is conveniently located on the main east-west highway through town. The hotel lobby is very nice and the open ceiling in the lobby is spacious and quite unique! Our double queen rooms were very nice, since we were traveling with a large group we were able to get our rooms next to each other. Lori, Angie, and Jake were very helpful at the front desk throughout our stay. With several eating options nearby the kids enjoyed their dining experiences. The pool was small but provided a safe place for the kids to play and get out some energy. The chemicals in the pool were a little bit on the strong side. My only complaint would be the fact that one of the guests proceeded to carry around and entire case of beer in the lobby and by the end of the evening had consumed enough to be drunk. This individual spent most of his time in the lobby and at the outside picnic area. The next morning multiple beer bottles were still by the parking lot sitting on the table. The breakfast was great and the lady who was taking care of the area was kind and very helpful. She offered assistance and was very friendly to talk to. Checkout was easy and once again we were treated very well by the front desk associate. Thank you for our stay and we look forward to coming back.
We were deejaying a wedding at a local vineyard and this was close. We are Choice Hotel members, so we got at great deal. BUT HEY!!!!!, who cares----I would have stayed there anyway. One of the best hotel experiences I have had in a while! Choice Hotels needs to use these folks to train other hotels and their staff. Special thanks to Ms. Dana for the late night food advice.
The front desk agent was so sweet and helpful, she made me forget I was somewhere I DID NOT want to be.... Ms Jean, please know I will return, if just to see your smile.. Thanks for all your help. Lovely hotel, very clean, even the free breakfast was great. Looked and taste like freshly made.. although we know better (smile)
I stayed in one of their "queen" bed rooms. It wasn't that big, but it was big enough. The closet wasn't working well, but I got it to open. Nice that they had wi-fi as I was able to get some work done. The breakfast wasn't as extensive as other places - like there was no melons. But you still had a nice choice of things. The lobby area was clean and neat. The staff was helpful and kind. I will look forward to staying here again.
I had a nice stay at this property. All the staff were very pleasant to deal with. The bed was nice and comfy, the television was clear, plenty of water pressure in the shower, and the breakfast was good.
For a typical commercial strip hotel we were very pleased at the cleanliness and comfort at this Sleep Inn. The place looks like it has been recently upgraded. The floor above was a little noisy and when they flushed the toilet we could hear a waterfall in our wall cavity - but all in all it was a nice stay. I would not hesitate to stay here again.
I wanted everyone to know how wonderful the service and efforts made by the Sleep Inn's staff were to insure a wonderful stay for not only myself but all guests! I witnessed first hand how the GM Richard Hicks was courteous, pleasant, and made the night for the 2 business workers who checked in before me by giving them some waters and snack bags as they had just arrived (as it was a little later in the evening). First class all around from the hotel staff to the room quality (plus wifi worked great in the evening when I had plenty to get done!).
