I was traveling through Albany and need a clean place to stay and I chose correctly. It was a great night's sleep and the extra space and kitchen were bonuses. I would definitely stay here again. It was very close to the I-90 interchange.
Not going to knock your socks off but it serves the purpose if you need a place to crash for the night at an affordable rate and well located. More motel than hotel the beds were first class although the complementary breakfast was really lacking. That said, for a quick stay or an extended visit I would recommend the property.
Rooms are very small for an extend-a-stay and over priced. i would compare this to a motel6. Upon arrival there was trash on floor in room beside the bed a used straw, beer bottle cap, 2 smok vap canisters on bedside, trash still in bathroom can, 1 draw had old papers, trash stashed in it. kitchen is tiny can hardly turn around and only 1 spoon 1 knife 1 pan and 1 bowl. I am traveling for work to stay 2 mos one would think they would have put me in the larger 1 bd rm for that long of a stay but no i get the tiny studio. Then they over charge for pets i brought my service dog i was charged a fee per night and a hold fee.wtf why even say your pet friendly if you are going to over charge when they stay. hallways dirty and old looking. Sad that Marriott has their name attached to this disgrace of a place. I will be searching airbnb to change to or the Double tree by Hilton at least they are more welcoming to my dog. The exercise rm is 2 treadmills in a closet size room, the laundry has 2 machines very old and filthy. It is not walking distance to any restaurants or shops.
very nice location, but housekeeping is not acceptable. the front desk people were very nice, but the internet was not available in the rooms, the housekeeping is spotty and seems to be lazy. I didn't have room cleaning for 2 days, and their excuse was that the sign was on the door except the sign was inside the room on the closet door. the coffee pot was not cleaned and the toilet backed up.
We arrived late and had a nice comfortable stay at this hotel. Easy to get to. The room was clean. The area felt safe. My family and I had plenty of space with our 2 bedroom suite. Would stay here again for certain.
Room was dirty (bathroom had hair, carpet was disgusting) Very little toilet paper on roll without extra and only 1 hand towel and two bath towels for a two room suite? Called down and asked for more towels. They asked if I could come get it. As soon as I came down the staff passed it on to another staff member and went off duty. I would not recommend staying at this Marriott property.
During the check in. The front desk young lady was probably not in the mood doing this because she was chatting with another lady inside their office. She only told me that my room was in the other building. After the check in, she went into the office again and started talking, at this time I heard another dixk. I was so pissed to hear that. But I was in a hurry to do my work, didn't have time to argue this. I can only say, FIRE HER.
Another platinum member here, and I have to say, this is probably the second worst Marriott I have ever stayed at. The entire room smells like dog piss or animal urine of some kind. The long stain on the rug the other guy mentioned? It's still here. Chipped paint, dents in dry wall, outdated appliances, old school spring mattresses that are very uncomfortable, no spoons in my room (probably because they were all used for heroin), trash on the silverware, wifi doesn't work, and the most pathetic workout room you have ever seen. I'm so sketched out I don't even want to sleep here, but it's 1am I just checked in and I can't go find somewhere else. I have no idea how this place has four stars. It's comparable to a motel 6, not a Marriott. Don't ever stay here!
I stayed here a couple of times within a few weeks and overall, was pleased with both stays. The rooms are spacious, updated and clean. Having a kitchenette and small table as well as a living room is great for longer-term stays and traveling with kids. The front desk staff were friendly and the continental breakfast was good. Short driving distance to hospital. Pool also helpful for entertaining kids. Tea, coffee, and orange or lemon-infused water available for free all day long is a nice touch.
Having our hardwood floors refinished and needed to be out of house for 3 nights, choose a hotel with a close convenient location to SUNY Albany area. Had the 2 bedroom unit, ample room for 2 adults and 2 dogs (beagle, St Bernard (165 pounds)). Two queen size beds, 3 large TV's, full size refrigerator, 4 burner stove with oven, dishwasher, dishes/silverware for 4 persons, outdoor heated pool (very warm), free breakfast (adequate) with rather long hours (6:30 to 10am). Close to Crossgates Mall, Thruway and Northway, local eating establishments a plenty.
